    29:00 to prove continuity we need to prove the limit for x,y -> a, -a for all real a.
    Though ig it is understood that the point of the example is just to prove the property and not complete examination of the function

      Both of you got his point what he wants to ask.. That's enough..
      English is just a language which is use to communicate or to share your feelings what you're thinking.. If you can understand one's feeling then it doesn't matter which language is he using.. It would be better to reply him a better solution of his doubt instead of pointing out his grammatical mistakes

      from my experience apply one which is easy according to question. one can apply epsilon delta, polar or path dependent approach.

    36.17 sir we have to show this function is not continuous but I Suppose this function is continuous by contradiction with the help of epsilon-delta definition then I get Delta and when I choose Delta =epsilon then f(x)-f(c)

    Sir, I have a doubt. Is it really continuity of partial derivatives required or just existence and boundedness of partial derivatives in some nbhd of the point be enough to imply continuity of f?

      Yes you are correct. There is confusion in geometrical meaning part of partial derivatives. Do you know any book that explains this geometrical part easily ?
