And here I thought I was doing so well on the earlier embellished version of SJI! David once again shows that the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement.
Lot's of nice little tricks in here David. You've got me thinking in ways I've never really taken the time to explore. I keep saying... "Why didn't I think of that!" Cheers!
I got a lot of inspiration from this lesson, thank you very much! I really like your tone and your mixing of more complex palette of sounds into blues, often from jazz. Cool.
David, greeting from Canada! Love all your inspired lesson and tips. Thank you for your most generous sharing! Would love it if you had the time to put together a whole fingerstyle blues song and improv with TAB.
Super-Cool....you can go to the races. Love it. I’m still struggling on Hesitation Blues but this seems a bit easier....Great lesson once again thanks a lot!
Another fantastic lesson from David. I never cared all that much for St. James Infirmary......thought it was kinda boring, but now it's definitely a favorite, thanks to all these cool chord subs. Thanks, David.
Hi David, great lesson as usual. Its really a pleasure to watch and hear. Also funny as I hear a kind of ressemblance with the first verse of Siboney Cuban song. You just have to add a Rumba feel.
On my list of tunes to learn. I like it. The word will be spread! I like all your videos. The theory - good stuff but I need to buck up and learn / digest a few things to get more out of your lessons. I can copy what you are doing but I would like to understand how you get where you go with substitutions etc. a bit more. That's on the list too. :) THANKS!
David, this is very fun stuff that can also apply to other songs. I love your channel. I met you when you taught at a Mark Hanson camp and I have all your TrueFire lessons. I sure appreciate your commitment to music education for guitarists. Would you ever consider a lesson on your great song "Miss Henderson's Riding Academy" either on TrueFire or on UA-cam? Thanks, John WA, USA
Hi John! Now *that* was a fun workshop to teach at. Given that you're not the first person to ask, I suppose that's something I ought to consider. Thanks for the request, and glad you are enjoying the channel!
HI David, Really like your playing and your teaching style. I recently became a member and as I'm looking at St James Infirmary I fell I must have missed a session along the way. Did you have one of the hour lond sessions where you walk through the steps and if so is at available anywhere ?
10 of your minutes tend to take four of my weeks, but it’s always worth it! Thank you, David!
Mr Hamburger, I am in awe of not only your ability but also your knowledge. Well done.

I really appreciate the fact that you need to be musically knowledgeable to comprehend some of your lessons. It keeps the trolls to a minimum. Thanks

Not yet! That's usually the fourth week, after we've covered some improvisation exercises. Stay tuned!
Is the whole tab for this available somewhere ? btw. that sample tab did not work for me, didnt receive.
If you sign up here you'll find access to just about every tab I've made for the channel: www.fretboardconfidential.com/signup
Looks like I could use a good editor :(
Great, but too advanced chord wise for me!.
