A lot of these videos don't show printer settings. That is where a lot of issues are coming from. This method alone doesn't work for everyone. I've tried this MANY times, watched all similar videos and not one shows printer settings because if your printer does not print those 'boxes' correctly, your cut is going to be way off (which is what is happening to me).
Printer settings has nothing to do with it. That’s a personal preference on what printer settings you use. Each printer is different. You have to do test prints to see what gives you better color. Also the paper you use makes a difference as well in what settings you use and the vibrancy of your prints.
I totally agree with birbcat. What works for me is the extra step of measuring the size of the box once it has printed out. Then in Cricut design space I adjust the size of the sticker sheet to reflect the size of the box as printed. Mine always seems to come out at 20.4 x 28.1cm so I keep a spare mat already prepared with that size box in masking tape. Ensure that the box is lined up with your cut out masking tape (I usually cut off the top and the left side to get it to line up perfectly). I hope this helps but this works beautifully for me every time.
Same thing is happening with me. No matter what settings I set the printer to the squares are off making the cuts off. I cant seem to find a video that helps with it. Guess we gotta stick to the 6×9 square
I print out then measure the actual size of my printer project and use those dimensions in my cricut instead of just going 8.5x11. It works better but my final cutouts are still a little down and to the right. I’m still in the process of figuring out how to fix that. I need to measure how far off Center the cuts end up being and just adjust my art that way…. It’s a pain though lol
@@thejuicyme ty, registration marks need to match in both programs, if "fit to page" shrinks the image in ps and it doesn't in circuit your cuts will be off. Knowing the border of the print and the cut is paramount.
Hi Tatiana: If you need it to be perfect, then I suggest you outsource this to a professional. Sometimes my Cricut kisscut lines worked and sometimes it didn't... No rhyme or reason. XO Lisa
It keeps telling me the file no longer exists. I guess she removed it. Im having crap luck trying to get these stickers to cut correctly on the full sheet, and ive wasted so many sheets and ink trying to make it work. It even cuts too far right, or too far left. I cant get it to work and I hate having to waste material using the limitations that CDS gives me.
You didn't mention or show the page after it came off the printer. Some printers have margins and if it does and they can't be change it will misalign the cut.

no one ever shows just how acurate this is. they just cut with hug offsets and say"see? it works" i don't want 3 inch offsets. is it just me or are all these people in the videos just that good at aligning the print paper perfectly inside the 8.5 x11?
I’ve been trying to test out this method for a while now and I’ve come to two conclusions 1. The printer never Prints exactly 8. 5×11 inches. So what you have to do is make those registration marks visible ie. a different colour. Then measure from one edge to the other to see how large your printer actually prints. Then use those new measurements as the measurements for the cut image in cricut design space. 2.! Even with that your cutouts will probably not be exactly centred. Mine usually Cut a little down and to the right of my printed image. So the next thing you want to do is to do a test sheet, make the white outline a different colour and see how far off centre machine actually cuts. Then adjust your art accordingly. Make sure that you do not move the registration squares along with the art that would defeat the purpose.

It's damn near impossible to get perfect your hands are involved, even if you get the sizes right the angle of your placement may be off on one axis The larger space you give yourself in the "stroke" for the stickers the better. On a 3" sticker 16th or 8th seems like a lot of border but it will save you time and supplies being safe. Also not putting a thick outlinee on the image helps because it will stand out in the white border...
Omg , it’s worth it to just to lose the paper with all these damn steps geez .. this is way to much work to save a tiny bit of paper . Cricut needs to fix that crap tho

All cutting + printing + photocopying machines have issues - some to a lesser degree than others. But for sure cutting machines are the worst. However - tons of people successfully accomplish using theirs on Etsy so it could just be me [and you, it sounds like] - in which case, I always say - it's good to know your strengths and outsource your weaknesses. I'm super disappointed. You said there's a link but the only links below the video for anything remotely related to the templates is a broken link. It sounds like you have the bugs worked out for printing larger with your templates but I can't get to them. *womp womp* :(
