@@molokothabo2877 okay I see what you’re saying. This chapter has made me even more curious on how what happened in the void century shaped the deep sea currents. For awhile I've thought one of the biggest mysteries that no one talks about is how the One Piece world is even aware how long it takes for something that is caught in the deep sea currents to wash up again. Someone at some point after the One Piece world flooded had to measure this somehow, it's even more weird when you notice for them to understand how long it takes for something to wash up after being caught in the deep sea currents that they must of existed pre-void century. Also if you think about it a world tour with the Noah to save humanity could be possible using the deep sea currents as a faster means of transportation. This also raises the question if maybe the deep sea currents were created in the ancient times to allow for faster transportation for the Noah or something else.
the wind waker comparison blew my mind because in a way, link in that game had no connection to link’s of the past and proved himself into that legend, kinda like luffy did

When Roger said that he was too early to claim the One Piece, he may have realised that the only way to access it was to drain the oceans of the world because it would be inaccessible otherwise? He knew the seas were rising and that someone would come along to drain them and told the world that he left his treasure there to encourage people to find out the same truth for themselves.
The one peice is the continents forming into one again with buggy awakens devil fruit they will rejoin it into one peice uniting everyone or every race
The last part about Rodger leaving the one piece underwater would make sense as to why rodgers treasure in One Piece Stampede was underwater at the beginning. Oda leaving a sneaky hint.
I don’t know about you guys but I think the void century never happened. It’s happening right now. The current story of One Piece is the Void Century. Luffy is not Joyboy but instead Joyboy is Luffy. Some with call him Joyboy in place like Wano, others will call him Nika the sun god in Elbaf. Joyboy who sent a letter to the Mermaid princess that he couldn’t accomplish his promise is literally the promise Luffy made to Shirahoshi. The evil King who was torturing the small people from Dressrosa and enslaved them was Simply Doflamingo. When Roger laughed when he discovered the One Piece who else makes us laugh as much that clown Luffy? Remember Roget said he wish he was born in the same era. We don’t know if he meant the past or the future. Also Shanks, Crocus and Rayleigh also said Luffy was the One they were wait for, that the hat fit him so well. It’s quite simple that hat has always been Luffy’s. Momonosuke will learn to write the poneglyhs from his grandfather, Robin will help him and also create the Ohara kingdom, I think I will be Vivi who might acquire the devil fruit power to send the poneglyphs in the past. They sent them 900 years earlier to prepare for that we are living right now. In a funny way, Veganpunk could actually be the one who originally created the devil fruits or mother flames. He is simply not aware of it. I also think the reason there was no king on the throne of Marijoie is because the 20 Kings were aware of this and decided to avoid this war by swearing that no one should be on that throne but Imu managed to get a throne and tried to shape the future. Oda is simply telling the story comparable to the contemporary story of the world. Slavery was never abolished. Africans simply still live under neocolonial control, while the rest of the world literally lives off the resources and suffering. Marijoie is the current Israel where those celestial dragons or the “J people” of our world who consider pretty much themselves as gods have murdered and displaced millions of Palestinians and taken their land. Also the last war seem to be comparable to the American civil war to liberate slaves. There is a reason in the last government reverie the man who was hosting resembled Abraham Lincoln. Mother flame is probably the nuclear energy. Albert Einstein helped create nuclear power thinking it would end wars around the world since the main cause of them is always energy but instead the United States decided to create the nuclear bomb with it. Pretty much like like Imu using the mother flame to destroy entire islands, same way the US destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki simply to send a message to the rest of the world that they will destroy anyone who doesn’t yield. Same could also explain how the US has some weird loyalty for Israel (the celestial dragons) who seem to be out of touch and completely lunatic and delusion but some of those celestial dragons like the Shanks family are extremely powerful. Same way your have very powerful Js people in the US government, especially the Blackrock company, Rockefeller, Rothschild, Nulands, etc
@@EA-dweller Interesting theory but you went off the rails with your parallels to the world. There's also the question of why Zunesha wandering the planet if JoyBoy wasn't the one who sent him off.

What if the previous joyboy was a giant? Instead of stretching and blowing up to become bigger. The first joyboy used compression to shrink to make his muscles and bones denser instead. Luffy did shrink in the series in impel downs.
And so far, the idea of a 'giant who shrinks' has been used twice in One Piece but *neither time* was canon - one was a video game, the other was an anime-only movie tie-in arc. It feels like surely Oda would have used this idea by now for himself on some minor character if he didn't have a plan for it.
ohhhh that's a clever way to think about it- which also totally makes sense from the "goofy" standpoint of gear 5. Luffy - a normal human - wonders how it would feel like to be a giant and becomes one. Joyboy - a giant - wonders how it would feel like to be a normal human and becomes one.

Archimedes's priciple. The Red Line came crashing down from space (maybe with awakened Fujitora's fruit?) and it raised the sea level by such a big amount.
I think following basic logic it's safe to say while Joyboy had Nikas fruit, that does not equal a guarantee of being the first user. There's literally zero proof of that.
This Story is incredible, now the existance of SKY Islands gains huge meaning. Also if Gorosei are this much more powerful then Strawhats, how strong is Imu itself? Also also what part of this history did Xebec playd, and i cannot wait for Blackbeard reaction to Vegapunk message. This is CRAZY!

Japan has been permanently scared by WWII. From Godzilla to multiple manga and anime depicting huge explosions with mushroom clouds. Naruto and the Tailed Beast are prime examples. Every nation wants a Tailed Beast with every nation in fear of the destruction a Tailed Beast could cause if unleashed. Everyone knows the Genesis flood story but there might be some inspiration for OP from the Book of Enoch. Its an unofficial Bible story derived from the Ethiopian version bible that goes more in depth on Noah's great-grandfather, Enoch. Very interesting and I see some similarities here. joyboy may not be the first user of the hito hito no mi as the buccaneers, giants and skypians talk about the ancient warrior called sun god nika with similar powers.
Sun God Nika was the IDEA/WISH from where the fruit originated. At some point in Ancient Kingdom's time, a technology was created which was able to conjure the wishes of people into fruits. At the start of the arc, Vegapunk hinted that "devil fruits incarnate people's wishes". Someone wished to be fire, someone wished to be darkness, someone wished to be the hero from his favourite comic book: the Sun God Nika.
A while ago I saw a guy on reddit with a theory on the 4 road poneglyphs that leads to laugh tale, because only 3 directions would be enough to triangulate its location and get there, but what if there was another dimension, the depth, then a fourth one would be needed, it would make a lot of sense for that and even though this made sense to me at the time, right now I'm convinced that this is the case
You could be on to something. Then again, it takes three to mark a point in three dimensions: two to triangulate (bearings from two different points to mark an "X") and a third to point out the elevation. Based on Roger's logic of arriving there too early, the fourth Road Poneglyph could state the correct time window to make full use of the One Piece.
I also feel like we may have arrived at a place in the story that reveals a long build up to the coded references of the advent of atomic energy in our real world, and the mixed results that have come with it. Could Joy Boy be an allergorical reference(?) To Japan and Imu to America, whom used the A-Bomb as Imu used Uranus ? Being this is a Japanese story it would make a great deal of sense if in some part or aspect of his story, Oda would so deftly encode his perspectives or takeaways on something that effected his home country so deeply. I think one could easily find in many aspects of these last few chapters and the message Vegapunk is laying out for us, moments that loosely connect to events surrounding a post A-bomb world.
We saw Roger and crew at Laugh Tale, they weren't wearing bubbles, just standing around laughing. And they seemed to be able to see so there was light. Fishman Island is a special circumstance with the light from the tree and the bubbles and all that stuff which is the only idea I could have and it only works there.
Theory, Uranus doesn't destroy islands, instead it's a matter transporter that reconstitutes the island matter into the red line. Removing an island should cause sea levels to lower not raise. How is it rising, because the matter taken wasn't filled, leaving the giant hole, but more matter was added to the red line, raising sea levels by displacing more water.
Wow everything makes sense now. I always wondered how it's possible that countries and Islands did not have Histories and they did not have any proof of their past i realised that the world government eradicated so the water level Rose and since nobody was allowed to talk about 100 years anyone who knew anything before that was that
As a geologist, I often think about the arrangements of the One Piece world... Maybe the Red Line is a mountain chain between two convergent tectonic plates (such as the Andes or the Hymalaians)... The islands perpendicular to it may be the results of shear zones along these directions? It is true that there are some anthropogenic extra-powers that affect the geology of the world (such as the Gura Gura no Mi, or the action of powerful swordsman), but seeing as Big Mom and Kaidou were sent to the mantle, I imagine that the basic functioning is similar to the ones we have here... Especially when we think about supercontinents (we had different ones, such as Rodinia and Pangea), the mechanisms of amalgamation of land masses is set by the mantle convection, and we do see Kaidou and Big Mom being slowly dragged by it...
Here's a curveball: Could Uranus' shots have pushed the landmasses of entire continents towards each other, causing Red Line to rise and widen on a global scale? Consider Uranus' cannon. The power of this sea-splitting explosion cannot just enter the sea and "evaporate" in the bottom. It's been proven that the shot evaporates rock, so it definitely goes through the entire lithosphere all the way to the center of the planet, or at least to the astenosphere (the magma before the core). But such force does not just go away, it must traverse and equalize in some way. The tremors of the attack to Lulusia were felt globally, even atop the Red Line. Considering its shape, coincidentally Red Line happens to wrap the world much like rings of Saturn, just not gas but actual rock. Consider now how the Himalaya mountains were born - a massive collision between two continents, that flew on the magma currents of the astenosphere on a crash course. So: could Uranus' cannon disturb the magma flows of the astenosphere, or in some other way shift landmasses away from the striking point in a way that would push Red Line to grow? If we consider its thickness, even a small increase to it would easily increase the sea level by a meter's worth. That is not much distance on the scale of the whole world. Even an increase of millimeter or two could make this kind of shift happen. Could the shot of a "Mother Flame round" do this? Could the "flame" that was used in ancient times be so powerful that it'd instantly give rise to the massive Red Line mountain, violently pushing islands unto themselves, away from the epicentrum where Uranus would fire? The other option is that Uranus was as powerful in the olden days as it is now, and was just fired enough times to achieve the same result.
Oda hinted at real-world supercontinents with his names of other one piece places. Lulusia Kingdom can be read as the supercontinent Laurussia (like how Raftel is actually Laugh tale). It's funny that Laurussia was also known as the "Old Red Continent" - sounds like the Red Line to me!
Hey this isn’t anyway taking away from what you said about the Spanish translation but it would more closely translate to “of evil” “De” is from and as you stated “Malo” is evil, so together “from evil” or “of evil”. Love your videos. I watch everyone
Joyboy's silhouette definitely isn't an abstraction. There's some specific peculiarities like the holes in his feet and the really thin left upper arm.
There is a verse in Binksu no Sake, that, after this chapter could be interpreted as a war song, Somewhere in the endless sky Stormy winds are blowin' by! Waves are dancing, evening comes It's time to sound the drums! But steady men may never fear! Tomorrow's skies are always clear! So pound your feet and clap your hands till sunny days return! As we know, Uranus is some sort of sky technology, capable of "blowing" the winds, followed by the mention of tidal waves and the evening, as we ve seen in lulusia, it blackens the sky and, after used, waves and earthquakes are felt, after that the mention of drums, could be a mention of drums of war or the drums of liberation, since JoyBoy fought in the war against uranus and lost, so the mention of fear is to prepare for battle against it. The hopeful end, mentioning the sun rising again is thematically fitting with a battle won or the dawn predicted by many
Luffy and Co show up to a sunken laughtale, sitting in front of a old mural of an ancient luffy is big mom and kaido drunk off a stash of sake they found nearby, laughing at the realization they never had a chance. Roll credits.
Just from the thumbnail i got a crazy theory (haven't watched yet) What if the reason Roger was early was because the water level was still too low and it needed to be raised a few more meters to access the One Piece properly, whatever it is. Laugh Tale is still above water partially, but part of it needs to be underwater to progress farther
Maybe Uranus is able to take away land and add it somewhere else, to the Grand/Red Line? It would explain why the Grand line islands all have different seasons and don't look like old continents, as they were originally from different parts of the world. Plus why the Red Line is so tall. That way rather than just destroying the Red Line, the world is restored by returning all the land to where it belongs It would make more sense that they've lowered all the land by 1m rather than magicing 1m of water into existence...?
The biggest evidence of Laughtale being underwater is that both Buggy and Toki, the only two devil fruit users on roger's ship, have had a sudden illness that prevented them from continuing the journey to Laughtale.
1) Roger was executed in Loguetown 2) He said that "i left everything DOWN THERE" 3) Loguetown is near Reverse Mountain. Could it be that down there ment under Reverse Mountain? Being guarded by one of his crew (Crocus)
One piece is peak fiction, right now. Your video was suberb and informative. It is funny, this week JJK was such a failure, devisive, yes, but as battle shounen it was bad. One Piece is such an epic tale, it only gets better and bettet. Keep up the good work
Maybe this could explain the weird weather on the Grandline. Winter islands could be islands the mostly sunk except for the peaks of their landmass while Summer islands could have not gotten the worst of it. Just a theory I thought of listening to this video
The grand line could be a mountain chain, which could also explain the unreliable weather. But it would not explain the different climate zone of each island, so it's prob wrong, but worth an idea
I dont see how using the ancient weapon as is to make the sea level go down is logical as much as using an "undo button". Since the use of it seems to raise the sea level. I see it working like more of a pushing the land mass down and it being moved to push up from the bottom of the red line to widening it at the bottom. This would explain the displacement of water. Making it where that section of land mass/"island" was is now pushed to make the red line bigger, and the never filling hole is also displacing water. The water flowing into the holes made by the weapon could be coming out of the top of reverse mountain or around it which would explain the weird water flows. Reversing this would lower the red line, replace the missing mass/islands, and half the water displacement. This could result in the restoration of the world, but also the destruction of fisherman island in the form the tree might collapse on top of it without a proper land mass to hold it in place/the reverting process having an effect on the island. I wouldn't be surprised if laugh tale is under reverse mountain with the X marks the spot theory.
Based on your wording “the sea rose 200 meters just in the void century” implies it could have rose a lot more in the 800 years that follows. If I remember correctly it took 1 week in world to see the effects of the attack on luluisa and have a 1 meter increase. Doing some napkin maths it would take 26 years of continuous attacks every week to have a 200 meter increase. It is feasible to have much larger increases in the sea level over the 800 years after the void century. Even if it’s 200 meters every 100 years that that’s still potentially an additional 1600 meters increase if not more.
I should have waited a little longer. But I think my assumption is probably not wrong, maybe the number is way to large but an island here or there over time especially 800 years no one would notice additional increases if it happened every couple of years. People may assume it is a natural phenomenon as the world became more isolated.
What I haven't seen many people reference is the fact that if the sea levels rose by 200 meters that means Imu used Uranus 40 times right (200%5). Doesn't this mean there should be 40 holes around the world? The world is a vast place of course but it seems unlikely such a strange phenomenon if encountered this frequently wouldn't be more known in the world - or at least those who want to know more about it.
I think that the gorosei powers and them not being labeled "devil fruits" would make sense if this "devil" of the fruits would be joyboy or someone on his side. Since the celestial dragons are "gods", makes sense to "devil" be the one who opose them, and then the gorosei may just have "fruits" (or even god fruits), not "devil fruits", maybe back them this kind of power was common
What kind of topography would enable a stretch of land like the Calm Belts? Assuming there was a flood, there is a chance the Calm Belt was non-existent before. What conditions would allow for it to be? How did it become the home of the Sea Kings worldwide? Is it impossibly deep? Is there some sort of weird ruins?
would other countries even realize that those islands are being destroyed?` without an island theres no log pose and without a log pose people would just not find the island, even if its not even there anymore
I think Joyboy's pose implies that he's a giant, or at least using his power's to gigantify himself like Luffy did, since his silhouette is in the same pose as Luffy's when he grabbed the lightning v Kaido.

Really thing just points to me how strange the paneling contexts can get in a manga like One Piece because while admit you’re right in the sense that the most consistent and direct answer is that this is Vegapunk imaging while he’s he’s recording which would entail the contradiction you’re pointing to about him not having seen Luffy yet at the time of the recording, it just never occurred to me because it’s not entirely intuitive to me to think of these panels as hypothetical integral thought or imagination flashbacks (or even literal flashback just obscured) WITHIN a recoded video (that can also be seen as a flashback of its own)
This chapter has made me even more curious on how what happened in the void century shaped the deep sea currents. This also raises the question if maybe the deep sea currents were created in the ancient times to allow for faster transportation for the Noah or something else.
the wind waker comparison blew my mind because in a way, link in that game had no connection to link’s of the past and proved himself into that legend, kinda like luffy did
Oda keeps on cooking up One Piece lore and it's delicious.
Wow everything makes sense now. I always wondered how it's possible that countries and Islands did not have Histories and they did not have any proof of their past i realised that the world government eradicated everyone and books of who knew and could pass on their history
so the water level Rose and covered everything and every proof and since nobody was allowed to talk about 100 years anyone who knew anything before that
When Roger said that he was too early to claim the One Piece, he may have realised that the only way to access it was to drain the oceans of the world because it would be inaccessible otherwise? He knew the seas were rising and that someone would come along to drain them and told the world that he left his treasure there to encourage people to find out the same truth for themselves.
No devilfruit users on roger and shanks ships r another clue i guess 😅
The One piece is the giant plug to drain the water mark my words. Thats why Roger was laughing. Only Nika can unplug it. Its so stupid yet so smart 😂

Petition to make the flash back of One Piece (void century) as a prequel series.
Similar to Fairy Tail Zero.
21:25: Did he say "One of the Three Ancient Weapons" or just "Ancient weapons technology". Because there could have been more than three back in the day.
@pxpx3577 I mean, that *would* explain how they lost the power source of this ancient weapon. Overusing it to the point of destroying the Mother Flame they were using to power it.
He mistranslated the last part of Vegapunk's speech. He referred to the ancient weapons in the plural form. He used それら which is plural and said they're waiting to be activated again. Not one singular weapon.
Archimedes's priciple. The Red Line came crashing down from space (maybe with awakened Fujitora's fruit?) and it raised the sea level by such a big amount.
1:47 G-8 filler arc was the best in One Piece anime.
Change my mind.

Correct! G-8 was the best filler. It has no noncanon devil fruits, it doesn't disrupt the timeline of the story and the characters are fantastic!

P.S. Also i think what the end of Roger/Luffy misterious Quote is metaphore of "After i became Pirate King ill FLIP THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN"
If the world before Uranus rose the sea level was a Pangea world with one big mega continent, then it makes sense there would be a legend of the All-Blue because the ocean would be one huge ocean in those days.
Palaeontologists called the surrounding ocean the Panthalassic Sea.
Only in Japan would the "Allied Powers" be seen as the bad guys in a world war. Hopefully, Joy Boy wasn't a failed painter.
😂😂😂 After all, the allied force did win and is now a world government ( in a way) with around 195+- countries and its own international court. It is ruled by the security council which has FIVE permanent members.
As it is our seas are rising due to global warming,, THE ONE PIECE IS REAL.
I wonder if Oda calling the 20 kingdoms allied nations was intentional or subconscious.
Impel Down has clear Nazi Germany undertones, so perhaps Oda put much thought into how he is going to describe this conflict.
Bruh, theres been so many more wars worldwide, and most of them refers to a party of it as a allied force. Thats not a WW2 reference. Grow up.

Everyone knows the Genesis flood story but there might be some inspiration for OP from the Book of Enoch. Its an unofficial Bible story derived from the Ethiopian version bible that goes more in depth on Noah's great-grandfather, Enoch. Very interesting and I see some similarities here. Tldr it basically tells the story of fallen angels who created the Nephilim (giants) and taught advanced technology to mankind which ultimately leads to the great flood. It connects almost directly to the Ancient Sumerian texts.
How did the technology create the great flood?
@@sengoku_fin From the way I understand it, it was less the technology specifically that caused the flood but it was how mankind used it that caused "the angels" to intervene.

The one piece is the one continent that the world used to be and laugh tail island is the key to reversing the flood. Mark my words.
How is this possible? How can one reverse this?
@Dionysos_____Alters the world is probably hollow and the ancient weapon is shooting air into the center, or a deeper layer, that is filled with water. As this area fills with air, water is forced up and floods the surface. Like pushing a balloon of air into a bin of water. Remove this air pocket and water levels drop.
@@Dionysos_____Alters simply remove whatever was forced down into the earth that is pushing the water up.

The fact that there is emphasis on the fact that its unknown to vegapaunk what started this conflict makes me think that either joyboy wasnt entirelly good or a hero as many have implied or neither joyboy or the world government are evil and they are equally justified in their actions. joyboy may not be the first user of the hito hito no mi as the buccaneers, giants and skypians talk about the ancient warrior called sun god nika with similar powers.
I really liked how organized and well put together this video is🤌

You know what else rhymes should have sinking world

I bet the chunk of the moon missing from the Ohara hub became the red line or one of the islands on OP's planet.

Great choice for the music of DK Country !
the ancient kingdom is going to be named Atlantis I'm calling it now
The best One Piece review channel by far!!! Love your work.
What's the music at 8:00?
The grand line is known as the "Pirate's Graveyard" this could literally be a clue that we were looking for Joyboy's grave all along
If you zoom in on the panel of joyboy it looks like he may have a tail.
There is a verse in Binksu no Sake, that, after this chapter could be interpreted as a war song,
Somewhere in the endless sky
Stormy winds are blowin' by!
Waves are dancing, evening comes
It's time to sound the drums!
Just from the thumbnail i got a crazy theory (haven't watched yet)
What if the reason Roger was early was because the water level was still too low and it needed to be raised a few more meters to access the One Piece properly, whatever it is.
Laugh Tale is still above water partially, but part of it needs to be underwater to progress farther
Now this makes me think Celestial Dragons are wearing scuba suits not space suits
What's the background one piece music at the end of this video called, I've always wanted to know?
Maybe Uranus is able to take away land and add it somewhere else, to the Grand/Red Line?
It would explain why the Grand line islands all have different seasons and don't look like old continents, as they were originally from different parts of the world. Plus why the Red Line is so tall.
That way rather than just destroying the Red Line, the world is restored by returning all the land to where it belongs
It would make more sense that they've lowered all the land by 1m rather than magicing 1m of water into existence...?
The biggest evidence of Laughtale being underwater is that both Buggy and Toki, the only two devil fruit users on roger's ship, have had a sudden illness that prevented them from continuing the journey to Laughtale.
1) Roger was executed in Loguetown
2) He said that "i left everything DOWN THERE"

One piece is peak fiction, right now. Your video was suberb and informative. It is funny, this week JJK was such a failure, devisive, yes, but as battle shounen it was bad. One Piece is such an epic tale, it only gets better and bettet. Keep up the good work
It makes a lot more sense now why the Marine's (World Government) will do a Buster Call as thats possibly the precursor to what the Mother Flame does
Maybe this could explain the weird weather on the Grandline. Winter islands could be islands the mostly sunk except for the peaks of their landmass while Summer islands could have not gotten the worst of it. Just a theory I thought of listening to this video
Don't let america see that flooded map
40 in 80% sea world full of monsters and unwelcoming climate is certainly hard to find
I haven't seen anyone talk about ice caps. If the wepond were used to melt ice caps this could bring the water lever 200m
Would be so fitting for the ultimate treasure to be under water, a relic from past now submerged!
Sanji dreams of seeing the "All Blue" once the entire planet is submerged, he will see the All blue
