Yes indeed Tony's character played by John Travolta was just full of swagger and confidence and tony knows he is the king of 2001 Odyssey in Brooklyn John Travolta played Tony's character down to a fine art the dancing the strut down 86th street to staying alive was perfect all in all Saturday night fever was a quintessential disco movie of 1977 a timeless Odyssey of music and the life of disco and having a cool time in bayridge Brooklyn what' more can a guy ask for or a lady in 1977 go on out and dance it's Saturday night fever and boogie on down folks you got the fever😁👍👍
So I was going to discos and hanging out with a small-time Italian gang in 1978 and this movie * perfectly * captures the whole mileu. Also, because the ambiance is so beguiling, I think a lot of people missed the fact that the film isn't glorifying this culture. At all.
Here's something quirky. The Man in The Glasses Stamping Folks was then in the Scene where Tony is greeted by Folks. Also The African American Guy is Lester Wilson who did The Couples Choreography and was the First Choreographer for The Wiz starring Stephanie Mills. Also when Tony brings Frank to 2001 Odyssey Lester is wearing The Same Clothes. I'm surprised that they were able to call themselves The Faces since that was the name of the Singing Group that Rod Stewart and Ron Wood were in in the 1970's.
You had the posh, celebrity crowd in Manhattan and then you had the hot spots in Brooklyn, Queens & further out in Yonkers and New Rochelle hosting monthly dance competition tournaments and DJ's playing to nightly crowds in the thousands. What a time...Except for that dam Berkowitz character 😩😂
Era el tema con el que iniciaban las trasmisiones de la televisión mexicana ( Televisa en especial) de los Juegos Olímpicos de Montreal en 1976 patrocinados por Bancomer SAB
Another fun observation is that Tony enters 2001 and is greeted by the same two fellows twice. The Dark Haired Girl with the Short Haircut and Scarf goes from being on the Dancefloor One Minute than sitting down then "back" on The Floor.
Ha ha....recuerdo esas canciones ...yo en 6to de primaria Al siguiente año (12 de edad) Era un regular en las tardeadas para menores en las 3 discos de Mexicali los Domingos..pero antes al cine. Fue divertido !
I've always loved this film... A real classic. However, I always thought "Grease" a year later, which millions of other people would label a classic, was absolutely terrible. Opinions vary...
One of the worst edited pieces in movie history ever, Travolta and his boys walk by the same guys at 27 seconds and again at 39 seconds and they only add the" Tony how's it going" the 2nd time? WTF
and that's the way you enter to a disco
Great observation. Yes. Thats it.

Walter Murphy went on to score family guy
Cool was the rule, these days you can't look this cool entering a club through a metal detector.
There are good reasons for it, once I almost got staved with a knife by some ex boyfriend of the girl i was going to the club with

Jersey Shore will gone. Saturday Night Fever will stay 4ever.
I might be the only person on the face of the earth to have never seen Saturday Night Fever. Ludwig would've been proud of the song though.

Coolest walk ever
Classic tony entrance to the odisea 2000 plus the brutal symphony
This movie defines the 1970's.
Como eu fui feliz nessa época muito grato meu Deus e gratidão a quem postou o vídeo
those were the days
They look fucking depressing.

When I think about this song.. I think Robin Thicke's 1999 hit.. When I Get You Alone..
Yes Robin "Sampled' This Track and had no "Beef" yet he gets "Shade" for Marvin Gaye's Got To Give It Up.

Is it me or this melody is like “When I get you alone”?
this song is an arrangement of Beethoven's 5th symphony. Robin Thicke sampled this song for Get You Alone
