Great stash adds. It's always fun to see what someone else has been able to add to their collection. For me, it's interesting as I'm not a collector, I build what I buy. However, since I just started back into the hobby after a 25 year hiatus, I don't have many kits. These video's help me remember what there used to be and what there is currently out there.

Great video Tim and like you, I have been picking up the kits I remember building as a teen and my best score was the Tom Daniels California Vette. That 39 Chevy has the same engine as the flip nose 66 Chevelle, it is a 427 with the tunnel ram, worth picking one up just for the engine. Cheers, Wayne
The 39 Chevy lowrider has, of course, a lower suspension than the other versions of this kit which has a stock height suspension. You could use the lower front end and stock rear if you wanted a wicked rake. Let us see it when you are finished.

Now I'm thinking 🤨🤔, should I build it like I did then or differently? I also built, if I remember correctly, their Street Camaro Z/28 (Monogram 2230), think that I'll pick that one up as well at some point, plus their '40 Ford Lemon Crate pick up (Monogram 2265)....and a few other old, classic, Monogram kits....as you do! 😉😆😂 Kinda miss the old custom vans of the 70's and early 80's too, grew up in that era in Sweden, loads of good ones rolling around, wouldn't mind those coming back in popularity! 😎 Great haul, definitely gonna look into those nuts and bolts extras! Yip, you absolutely need a Powered Throttle, Throttle To The Power, whatever uncle Luka calls it, shop truck/delivery....😉

I bought some 3-pack "flysea" brand chrome pens off of Amazon and it comes out awesome. The 69' comaro i had also when i was younger but lost a bunch of parts, so i never completed it. So i bought it last year again when i seen it.

The vantasy van is cool they have several versions of that kit. Like the custom van era have fun building that kit. The dirty Donny van is a good one to pick up two huge decal sheets with custom art.
I picked up the Camaro a few years ago and I still have the one I built as a kid as well as the orange one. I believe those are called Motor brand wheels on the Camaro.

Great video buddy you found some Kool kit's I've always loved the 69 camaro kit and the Rampage camaro I have both of those kit's gonna build them one day I really like the idea of bringing back child hood memories thanks for doing this video
I build the ‘78 El Camino Lowrider version. Great thing about it was you could still do the stock suspension. So I used the stock in the rear and the Lowrider front to give it a cool ‘80s stance with some Cragars.
Nice kit adds Tim, I remember building that 69 Z28. Lots of custom racing parts, unique wheels and that small block 302 with the twin turbocharger. Have fun reminiscing when you build that one. It has a sharp front rake too🙂👍

I think you have some awesome plans for the USACC build!! If you want a squished car body, I can hook you up! 😉 Good point about the low rider kit, especially if the suspension is pre lowered too! Save you some time dropping it down!!

Great stash adds. I love the old vans. My first van add oval windows and my second van had rectangle windows. I still wish I had them. Both were 75 fords. I had a 74 ford with no side windows.
I agree with you on the '69. After my house burnt in 89, that Camaro was the first kit I built - thanks to my cousin giving it to me. I know what you're talking about on nostalgia, though I am only collecting them up at the moment and not building, but I will eventually start building those kits. My suggestions for your Plymouth and that great '39 Chevy kit. Make a demo car out the of '70, it would make it a quick and easy build to do, and for your '39, make that your Throttle Power Swap Meat hauler. Take a page out of Mark Batson's book and load that back up with a ton of scale model boxes making it look you just purchased a truck load from a swap meet.
Sweet stash adds, love the 39 chevies from monogram, they made the coupe as a low rider also, which is sweet because it's the only issue that has lowered suspension so just get rid of them 13 inch wire wheels and you got a nice hot rod kit

Back in the day, I built a Mongram Chevy Van. I'd do that again in a heartbeat! Oh, btw, warn a guy when you open up those wild decal sheets. My eyes hurt! lol

It's a Kentucky (Bourbon) or Root Beer theme issue this time. I thought about getting it because the decals are really cool!!!! And that would give me the option to build a '39 in a few different ways. 😊👍🙂

Great vid Tim! Love the stash adds! I actually own a '77 Dodge Tradesman 100 van and I always liked the teardrop window for the most part. The engine in the '39 is the same as the '66 Chevelle.
It's neither. My step Mother owned it from new. She gifted it to me the day my actual Mother died so it's heavy sentimental. I've always wanted to do something with it, but as with all things , time and money dictate what you can do.

Hey Tim! Going out huntin some kits today. Was wondering if the brands are better quality than others? Like is Revell better than Monogram? Amt? what order would Brands fall in?
Tamiya has the best quality.... Revell, Monogram and AMT are all about the same. What separates those 3 would be when the kit was designed/made. Usually the newer the kit better the quality.
For an example.... All the AMT semi kits usually get a bad rap because they were produced in the early 70's. So when you get one now they need a little more work but are still buildable. "BUT" the "ALL NEW" AMT Internal Transtar 4070A Cab Over is probably one of the BEST semi kits out there!! It was newly tooled/made just 2 yrs ago.

Great vid Tim! Love the stash adds! I actually own a '77 Dodge Tradesman 100 van and I always liked the teardrop window for the most part. The engine in the '39 is the same as the '66 Chevelle.

It's neither. My step Mother owned it from new. She gifted it to me the day my actual Mother died so it's heavy sentimental. I've always wanted to do something with it, but as with all things , time and money dictate what you can do.

Hey Tim! Going out huntin some kits today. Was wondering if the brands are better quality than others? Like is Revell better than Monogram? Amt? what order would Brands fall in?
Tamiya has the best quality.... Revell, Monogram and AMT are all about the same. What separates those 3 would be when the kit was designed/made. Usually the newer the kit better the quality.
For an example.... All the AMT semi kits usually get a bad rap because they were produced in the early 70's. So when you get one now they need a little more work but are still buildable. "BUT" the "ALL NEW" AMT Internal Transtar 4070A Cab Over is probably one of the BEST semi kits out there!! It was newly tooled/made just 2 yrs ago.
Something else to keep in mind..... Just get what you like and you will be able to make it work!!! All bout enjoying the hobby and having fun!!!!!
