Thank’s for this video. It’s usefull to learn about our pinballs.
I just change the entire flipper by new ones. But i will rebuild the old ones to keep genuine parts in case of need.

This is an incredible video of the Williams history for the flippers! Thank you very much for such detailed information about each generation of flipper assembly! It was quite a bunch of information, but super interesting to watch!

I'm new at this. If I were to replace all the leaf switches for the two flippers on the Williams Blackout pin what part numbers would I need. Note, presently my machine has one leaf switch for the left flipper assembly but has two leaf switches for the right flipper assembly. Although it a[[ears that the one extra leaf switch for the right flipper is wired wrong on the lugs in that it does not close the circuit. Thanks for any help you can offer!

For most games, you’d be able to get the part numbers from your manual (available on ipdb.org), but Blackout doesn’t list part numbers in the manuals, so you can get them from the parts catalog instead. The Williams Parts Catalog for your Blackout machine is viewable on Planetary Pinball’s site, at the bottom of the page, Williams 1980 Parts Catalog:
      www.planetarypinball.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=BOOK
Blackout is game 495. On page 5b, it uses flipper mechanism C-8230-L and C-8270-R. Those mechanisms are shown on page 5-3 along with the part numbers. The EOS switches on each flipper are SW-10A-50 and the additional lane-change switch on the right flipper mechanism is SW-1A-139. You can get those from your favorite pinball parts seller. Note that the lane change switch is not supposed to connect to the coil at all.

Please check. I have a terminator 2, but it is not fliptronics. IS there a way to make sure I get the right rebuild kit? Specify the part number, machine or style? Also, do system 6, etc as I am looking to buy a firepower and cyclone machine.

T2 is one of the early WPC machines that still use the older style flippers. T2 used assembly C-13174. Every parts retailer is different, but you should look for “early WPC”, or the assembly (C-13174), or the date it came out (Jul 1991). …or with this video you could buy each of the parts for C-13174 individually to make sure you get the right parts!
I’ve got T2 listed as using C-11626 at 7:00. That’s incorrect. It used C-13174. I made a note in the errata in the video description.

I don’t know anything before System 9. Cyclone is System 11 and uses C-11626 so this video has you covered there.
