So far the 5/4" deck boards have held up pretty well. They is some give with them as you walk on them but, I've had about 120 square bales stacked on there with no problem.
Thanks. When looking for plans to build my wagon bed, I saw plans for the kicker style wagon bed too. I hope to get several years of use out of it. Thanks for watching & commenting.
We made our hay wagon out of the same kind of gear. We welders channel iron at an angle to make an axle stop so we wouldn’t get the wagon into the bed. Also helps with not bending the wagon as much when it’s loaded.
I got the plans for the hay wagon bed at North Dakota State University website www.ag.ndsu.ed/aben-plans/nd331-1-2.pdf. I hope that helps you. Thanks for watching & commenting.
Very nice craftsmanship Ron. It will give you many years of service!
Doc
Thanks Doc. I hope it last for many years.
Exactly what I was needing to see Mr Ron!! Thank you very much for all the info!!! 😉😉
Glad it was helpful for you. You might want to go with boards that are 2" X ??" vs. the 5/4" X 6" deck boards I went with.
@@crslyrn Yes sir it was, I was wondering how those held up for you

@@crslyrn Thank you so much, may go that route with the other running gear this winter 😉😉

Good luck. Thanks for watching.

That's a good suggestion, I'll have to look into doing that to my wagon. Thanks for watching & commenting.
