Im not entirely sure about now but it isnt working on mobile for me so
hey Andi hope youre well o/ a strange question; im trying to understand if i can pull something off in OBS and thought id run it by you :D ive never made a single public video. i just make unlisted gaming videos with and for my friends. one of my friends is Japanese. on google translate. you can hit a button and talk in English and get live Japanese translated text. I can format the text using CSS. colour / size. but it wont let me change the box format to scroll. it just keeps getting added down and off the page. so cant be captured well. without having to tab out of OBS and make manual adjustments all the time. Is there a way to feed this webpage container into OBS some how do you know please? or maybe there is something else i can use to get the same effect. your a star for reading. thanks Andi

wait how did you do it?? I created a starting soon overlay and a camera Overlay and chat overlay, but I can't figure out how to apply it unless I buy and stream the game from my laptop!
@kyahjordan255 For Xbox I got the Xbox app on my PC, And from there you can 'stream' on the app which allows for my screen on my xbox to be displayed on the app from my computer I then use that source as my visual display source so I could have chat, Overlays, Ect. Because everything is from my PC not on my console, I have no clue from other consoles such as PS/Nintendo/ect.

Your viewers will see it over your stream. If you are wanting to see the chat I’d recommend having your stream open on your phone!

Hi mate great video I did a overlay yesterday and activated it and all that but I can't see it on my stream while playing on Xbox this normal in new to twitch was on mixer so I obviously would like to see chat on screen rather than having to keep stopping and looking on my phone any ideas please
If you have followed all the steps in the video correctly it will work. Overlays cannot he displayed on mobile atm due to twitch. Please sign the following petition so Twitch hurry up and bring it to mobile.

You will only see it if your tv is running twitch from a desktop version of the website.
Hello does the overlay go over your video? For example I want the chat to be in the video when I download it
It is only on the stream, it doesn’t get embedded into the video!

I'm also having trouble adjusting text opacity for my other layers.
No worries Zotoblitz! To change transparency: go to the chat layer settings, press content, press the colour pallet. There are two horizontal bars, the bottom one is the alpha channel to make it transparent!

Hey so, I’ve been having the issue where it just fails, and gives me a random error, I’m not sure how to fix it, it occurs when I try to choose it in the configure screen

This won’t be displayed on top of your game, it’s only for your viewers. I’d recommend using a phone or tablet to have you Twitch Dashboard up next to you

Yes it's only for live as it runs through the extension and isn't embedded into the stream

It doesnt work. I choose the overlay, i got to the stream, the overlay control thing loads for 2 seconds then disappears along with the overlay. What gives?

Unfortunately not dude! This is for your viewers. I’d recommend putting chat on a tablet or phone so you can moderate it too

Request the twitch desktop website rather than mobile

You could also connect your phone to ur twitch account, go on your stream and look at the chat through your phone. That’s what I do
That’s correct! It’s not the same effect though. This allows you to embed the chat into your stream so it shows up on screen for anyone watching 🙂
My twitch wont even load when i try to do this...it just is a purple screen and sits there like that

I’m not sure what you mean? If you’re wanting it to appear on your tv, that’s not a thing. Use an external device to manage your chat.

I followed it to the T, and it didn’t show on my console, but it showed on laptop
It doesn't show up on mobile / console at the moment since Twitch still haven't allows the mobile extension to run it!

Hey since you've done a couple of these I was wondering.
I only have one screen so while I'm playing my X1, I can't view twitch itself. My phone can't view twitch either. I was wondering if there was an App or anything that would let me pop up my twitch chat even if I have to flip from my video game. That's always been my major issue to trying to get into twitch, ever since thye removed split screen I've never seen the ability to open the twitch chat, which means I have to sometimes flip over to my PC which takes a while because I'm gaming in order to see any of the chat. So I was hoping there was app I could install that would let me see the chat without flipping away X1.
Hey darkmikasonfire. I don’t think there is anyway! It’s why twitch added the dashboard feature into their phone/tablet app. It means you can see chat and edit settings live at a glance. Unfortunately I don’t think there is any software for Xbox to do that
@@Andilippi bleh well thanks for the info. It's a shame cause the PS community DOES have the twitch chat, I think they just can't type into it or something. I don't know why xbox constantly gets shafted by twitch.
