This video is based on my experience when skateboarding in the Adidas Superstar shoe.

I didn't speak too much on the toe cap. Lets say consistency and accuracy when doing flick tricks changes for the better in my experience. My kickflips respond more correctly with the toe cap feature.

in my opinion, superstar is totally worth it. Last year, I wore superstar black white regular, but I changed the insole with the adiprene (blue insole in superstar adv vulc or pro model adv), and it 100% work as well.
Good to know, I hear people have mixed feelings of those insoles. Way back I used them with almost no issue

These worked surprisingly well for me. Agreed on all your points in the video.
They were bit stiff and bulky for me at first as a guy who usually skates vulcanized Vans. But after about a week they felt really nice and I loved the protection and support they gave me.
I was worried I wouldn't be able to feel my board very well with these, but I actually felt like these shoes made me feel more confident because of the reduced board feel. I don't know what happened in me psychologically, but the added cushioning and protection with these shoes made me more willing to try bigger and harder tricks.

ive skated the regular ones, not the adv, and i had a real similar experience, takes time to break in but it is worth the time. For me, they have the best flick ever, i love the toebox, since i skated the superstar ive skated a pair of dcs, and now im skating a pair of old skools. The flick may look the same but definetly dont feel the same
I agree. Personally, my flick has been more reliable and accurate with the toecap

Regular superstars and Pro models over ADV.
People complain about the flick but once you get the hang of it, they're the best. Also if you are in between sizes and like shoes more snug, half size down.
*The Superstar 80s, the ones with the slimmer tongue are dangerous. You'll roll your ankle so bad since the sole does this \ /. The 80s superstars are thinner and get loose quick.80s models have weird lines on the shell and cause a chirping noise when you flick.
*Regular thicker tongue superstars and pro models have the normal sole (these are the ones in your video). Regular superstars also keep their shape for longer. regular superstars have the "X" pattern on the shell. Which don't make the fucked chirp that the 80s do.
Been skating superstars for years. By far my favorite shoe to skate in. Also add fat laces to them so they can look proper as fuck.

Adidas pro models (high top superstar) is so good too. I never skate a shoe for too long but these get better with age.

Are tHese the regular and if they are do they have good grip/decent
regular. no niche skate shoe. They have long lasting grip in my experience. I never blew out of the soles.
