My tech habits didn't change, just increased. I already had fast wi-fi for streaming and smartphone. I just had to bring equipment home to work from home on corporate VPN. I actually did this as a technician back in the 90's when VPN was first used for this.
I’m in South Africa 🇿🇦 and what I’ve seen improved was internet connections, well it happened maybe in 2018/2019 but 2020 more fibre deployment commitments were made even in not so fancy suburbs. And the prices of connections went down with higher speeds, really down and they are still down even mobile broadband where you get uncapped connections with 6TB+ being consumed on wireless broadband. The working from home thing helped push this and most companies pushed a lot of online services that didn’t exist. That’s the only thing I thank Covid-19 of, but of course we lost people so it’s awkward thanking Covid-19 for this.

I'm streaming a lot more and have cut the cord of satellite and hardly ever watch content on a TV anymore. Most of what I watch is on the phone.
