When they destroy the high rise buildings built illegally on riparian land (authorized by the current County Government) rhe issue of flooding will stop. In paticular, illegal buildings on land in Chiromo and Kilimani directly affect the drainage of water on Ngong Road and Langata.

Not the Rainy Season but the Hot dry Season! This is very unusual including a heavy hail storm in Lavington. No El Niño driver so what is bringing this violent convective weather to Central Kenya? Moisture from the west and local low-level wind convergence inducing instability. Perhaps, but be sure global warming’s influence is involved. An indication of what is to come as climate changes. Unseasonal rain at an unfamiliar intensity and you are right, urban drainage infrastructure is an urgent requirement for city planners.
