Meter pitching is quite literally for the noobs. If you’re not playing on the highest difficulties against the best players, then it doesn’t matter. Otherwise, PIN POINT is just like Zone hitting. There’s no comparison. No other interface gives you full control. You’ll always have RNG results if you’re not using pin point pitching and zone hitting. That’s BASIC knowledge. If you suck with pin point, that’s a SKILL ISSUE
When you have spent your entire life playing with meter, you even know how to make mistakes so that the ball moves in a certain way and lands in the location you want.
Meter user since MVP Baseball and I do this constantly. I know exactly how to manipulate the meter when hitting and missing on purpose. My friends completely trip out.
Pinpoint is garbage, it feels like I’m doing homework. It’s so much unnecessary work. I can’t do anything with analog, because I can’t control it even going straight up. Pulse is just a dice roll. I like meter pitching.
Have you thought about pure analog? Similar to meter but even easier to get good pitch rating. Only reason I don’t use it is in the rare chance you miss you’ll give up a meatball.
Been using meter since Mauer was on the cover(2010). I switched to pinpoint this year out of sheer bordom. Thowing perfect pitches all game and having control not really matter at all just got tedious I guess. Hot take: Pinpoint is kind of a fun added challenge to me. I like it.
The Show 24 is the first baseball game ive played since MVP 2005. I use meter cause its quicker and i dont want to practice pinpoint just yet and i grew up on meter pitching. I havent played any online yet but for both meter and pinpoint if your not 100% accurate then the ball can go just about anywhere. Sometimes it works out amd sometimes it doesnt. Ive been playing on rookie/veteran level and the cpu will swing at anything😂. It also seems like with meter that you have more control for instance you control the power of the pitch. Ive had some pitches where i was off but the pitch would still be a strike and on the corner of the plate but im sure online play is a different beast. I read where the PAR for pinpint is just smaller than the others but idk. Theres been times ive barely missed on a pitch and its way out of the strike zone.
BRO same here! That's why I dominate with meter pitching, and like another viewer commented, been using it so long I know how to "make mistakes" with the meter to manipulate the ball into doing exactly what I want.
I think you’re describing how to use it wrong, if you press X or A when the meter is crossing the yellow to orange your pitch will be more accurate. If you press X or A in the red your pitch will be thrown more aggressively. Then you just press X or A again when you time it for the yellow line. Idk what you talking about watching the batters foot
nah bro, you’re trying to hit the yellow line every time. If you don’t, it’s the equivalent to throwing a bad pitch with pinpoint. I was talking about the pitchers front foot.
@@nmoneymosh some pitchers have different run on their fastballs depending if you throw early/late. dont ever want to go too much one way or the other, but you can experiment with this pretty easily with changeups - throw a zero power late changeup, a zero power early changeup, full power late changeup, full power early changeup and watch how they will break differently.
I hope this is a sarcastic video o. How pin point is most like life experience, pitch shape is different from lft to rt because those pitchers pitch their pitches differently yo
Feels kind of conceited to say it's for high skill players, as if you you a player can only be good if they use this setting. Meter has been around for decades, their are people who can be masterful with it.

As far as I’m aware you can’t manipulate pitch movement by messing with timing/pitch power in pinpoint. I can throw 3 different types of changeups with meter on some pitchers depending on when I release it and how much power I want to give it - if you try to do the same thing with pinpoint you will throw an absolutely terrible pitch. consistency is also very important - you honestly sound like you have no idea what you’re talking about.
ive been using meter for as long as its been around.
Yeah it’s goated honestly

I’ve honestly never tried pure analog in my life I’m gonna have to at some point
I use meter but it's extremely unforgiving when you're early or late
Yeah when you miss with the meter it’s devastating
MLB 2k kept analog pitching simple felt like I was playing SKATE they gotta replicate that again
They don’t have tutorials on this game which pisses me off
Haha I been using meter since MLB 06 the show. Nothing else feels right no mater what I use. I think it’s really just preference
Yeah gotta stick with what I know best lol

Meter is good until the release point becomes bigger then i struggle being accurate.
Meter is fine - I can manipulate pitches movement by release point and power whereas if you try to do that with pinpoint it’s an awful pitch

Reminds me of the swing meter in golf games too...I think I'll use this.
How do I change to meter pitching? Pin point is too damn difficult
go to settings and then "control". go to "defense" and then change pitching interface to meter.
Used to use pulse but it was kind of too easy, went to pinpoint to challenge myself vs CPU (i dont play online)
I used pulse last night with deGrom and got ROCKED 😭
Try Pure analog
Only reason i like meter is because you can quick pitch and control velocity better
World Series meter pitcher checking in !!
Well how bout a hand out.. hold it down all way past red or barely in yellow???
How do you put the meter on
go to settings, then control and then change pitching interface to meter

I gotta try it

Big facts been playing this way since 2006 lmaoo
Meter is different online then playing cpu. Not the same timing, get rocked online if you miss a little bit, down the middle and its gone.
Yeah when you mistime it, it’s bad 😂
Thank you for this lol
yessirrr
I tried pinpoint but I've been using pure analog instead. It's way easier to be accurate.
I might have to do a review on pure analog
I have always used meter. ⚾️💨
Let’s gooooo 🔥
Analog pitching poops on both meter and pinpoint this year 🤷🏻♂️
24 is the worst pinpoint idk what they did but its awful this year. Pulse meter anything is viable if youre good at it this year.
I've never used pulse so I'm gonna have to try it soon
I just prefer analog pitching never understood meter.
GREATEST PITCHING VIDEO ALL YEAR😂🤦🏽♂️ PIN POINT IS FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY DOING MORE WORK WHEN REALLY YOU JUST LOOKIN CRzy
Lmao for real just pitch the ball 😭
Pinpoint is better on legendary because its easier to get good accuracy. On hall of fame and Allstar I prefer meter.
Meter pitching >>>>

I agree

I just use pulse
I haven’t tried analog or pulse yet.
Pinpoint sucks it's pointless.
