The point is, from what I have seen on her videos she has demonstrated experience, talent and care for what she does. I hope that is what the leadership of the show saw in her first when making the decision.

Always watch their program on San Francisco KQED every Saturday afternoon. Not so much a program about house building as it is about how a house is engineered. Great Television!
The last few years it has looked like Rogers back or legs were bothering him. Years of landscaping work takes a toll. I always loved hearing him get excited about some tree. Nothings about his look or accent would make you think he gave a crap or knew anything about tree and plant varieties.
This old house should be on talk shows like this more often to promote blue collar jobs and you educate people on stuff that's out there on homes. I'm sure more than half the audience didn't know the automatic shut off existed. I like this old house. A very useful show
I owned a cabin in N. Minnesota for 35 years. One of my favorite activities was splitting wood for the wood-burning heater - - just like it was done at the end of this video.
Just wanted to say, I live in the area where these guys are from and they are 100% legit real contractors. I’ve even bumped into them a few times at Home Depot and garden centers in the area. My father in law knew tom’s father.
Growing up, we didn't have cable. But we did get TPT. I remember growing up and watching This Old House and Ask This Old House. I really did used to enjoy watching that show.

Noted a few comments about Norm. He had to step back somewhat for health issues too a while back. Oh and these guys do Not need a ratings boost at all. Saw that note too. They,re more a boost that Fallon needs. A reality check of expert craftspeople who his US audience highly relates to and enjoys watching for decades now.
