I started watching TOH back in the Bob Villa days. Absolutely love Tom's expertise and professionalism. And what a great teacher! Keep it up Tom and hopefully more young people will come to see what a great profession carpentry and construction is!
Click bait, this is a rehash of what Tom's life was like, I expected to hear about what he's going to do or maybe he was in an accident or something. Was this an AI experiment? A waste of my time!
Absolute click bait. Tom Silva is an accomplished woodworker. The only thing happening to him is he is getting older, just like everyone else on this planet.
All I can say is God Bless all of y'all . I have been watching all the different shows from the beginning. The brain fog has been working on me but I'm hanging in there. Even the hand cramps are slowing me down . But y'all will continue to be in my Prayers.
Tom i just want to say you and your guys are amazing I watch your show every day wish you could do my projects but it ok love watching the show maybe will have the chance to meet you guys😊
I have been a fan of TOH since the early 80s and have watched Tom Silva through the decades. I'm probably one of the few that records TOH every week since the 80s.
It’s great to hear about his journey and how he's been doing. He’s such a staple on Ask This Old House, and it’s nice to see the personal side of his story. Thanks for sharing this informative update!"
If it wasn't for Bob Villa, This Old House would have never existed. It's unfortunate that the show has changed so much since it was first created. It went from a, Start to Finish home renovation show. The prima showed everything. To a show that pretty much just shows highlights.
Well, I heard that Roger passed on, and Tommy's sons have taken over his business, but, no, I haven't heard anything about Tom, and we're not going to find out here.
Love how that first picture of young Tom Silva is actually Rich Trethewey… Anyway what a rambling mess, seems like something pulled togetther by AI (though its seems I'm not the only one who said that… but he's right what a waste of time.)
The Producer/Director of the show refuse to show the total cost for the home renovations. They hide behind the Home Owner's 'privacy'! Bullshit. Just an excuse to not reveal the outrageous items put into the renovations .
I like this show a lot and its the best one for home improvement , I am 71, been a carpenter since I was 20 when I earned my journeyman's card, I think norm is great but there is no such thing as a master carpenter unless you title yourself that way. every carpenter would laugh if you called yourself a master. no doubt there are great ones but there's no where you can go to buy that badge. I have only known a few that I would even call that, there's so many aspects no one can master them all, I may build a house from start to finish but if I don't cut a tree down and make pencils and rings I'm not a master? Not many carpenters build bridges with form work or do metal studs and sheetrock or roof houses. or do hi rises., you cannot do it all.
so, nothing actually happened to Tom Silva. Instead, something happened to his brother, which is a real tragedy. That being said, the title of this video is very deceptive. shame on you.
I have been a fan since Bob Villa. Always record it, so I can watch it. I have learned so much. Thanks to all the crew. Thank You PBS.

Yeah after about 5 seconds I realized what this was.
Absolute click bait. Tom Silva is an accomplished woodworker. The only thing happening to him is he is getting older, just like everyone else on this planet.
Thank you for saving me another 16+ minutes of my time. You are a hero!
Thank You for saving me from wasting my time with this.
Yep. Just PR for TOH evidently, and a waste of time for those that have seen the show (probably everyone).
All I can say is God Bless all of y'all .

Love this show it's filled with years of knowledge and I always learn something new 👍🤔
I'm not understanding why they didn't mention nor give any credit to the 1st master carpenter Norm Abrams?
Did you watch the video?
It’s great to hear about his journey and how he's been doing. He’s such a staple on Ask This Old House, and it’s nice to see the personal side of his story. Thanks for sharing this informative update!"

Who is Tom Silver?
@@Noneofyourbiz123 He's a famous and wealthy person that owns a lot of silver.
Saw that take of the Baton Rouge FD at 15:27. Thats a long drive to Massachusetts. Explains the total loss.

This is the worst of the worst!!! Truth mixed with pure garbage. Shame on the creators!
Have I told you lately how much I hate "click bait"?
PBS aired the same thing in a previous episode, I watched it. Looks like a Copyright Violation to me. CLICKBAIT!😡👎 Channel BLOCKED!
Nothing happened to Tom / click bait
No, I have not heard what happened to Tom Silva from Ask This old House and neither does this useless video.
This Old House did not "become": Ask This Old House. They are two separate shows
Thanks!
wtf click bait. I was so scared something had happened to Tom.
Clickbait. Bogus. Don't waste your time. NOTHING happened to Tom Silva.

this video was a waste of time
Home ownership died along with my American Dream.
I don't appreciate the deceptive hook. Grow up.

yikes, someone needs to fix the AI pronunciation of "Billerica".

Click Bait. No answer to the question.
several oinaccurate points, AI voice or graphics doesn't accurately explains things.
