Oh, drmsh will be sooooooo missed! Thank you oh God for putting his love of you, his love of the old and weird, together and giving him a desire that we average folk could have the opportunity to learn your word more deeply and understand more simply! Thank you for giving him the ability to take complex scholarly subjects/information and make them simplistic for the average person. Dr heiser you will be so deeply missed! Thankyou for all you’ve done, thank your family for sharing you with us. Thank you for making available so much content and information free to everyone! I believe you could have done even more...our Heavenly FATHER called you home. So we rejoice for you as you are now in the presence of our FATHER! God bless you and your loved ones.
This is an amazing convergence of so many prophecies. How could the world possibly have missed it? I guess the same way the world is missing the second coming. 🤔
They missed it because they didn't know what to look for. Apparently the Magi did, since they were paying attention to what was happening in the heavens. But my guess is, as professional scholars, they had a copy of Daniel and related documents. The every day person didn't have that, and they probably weren't recording daily movements of heavenly objects and noting odd appearances, like the magi would have been doing. Also, the Jews (the leaders) were not following God so they were not looking for him. I mean, when he later appeared to them they hated him and killed him.
Such a great way to present it and give us the visuals in the heavens as well as the data corresponding with it. Can never say thank you enough to Dr. Heiser. He is sorely missed but know he's home.
He was extremely fearless and I think of him often and the position in God's kingdom. It helps me to think about the things people are doing in heaven for the Lord
I’ve read all three of the books mentioned on the gospel in stars- must say, I found it incredibly compelling and well argued, rather than an “overstatement” of what is in the heavens. But I’m okay with disagreeing on that point. Thankful for all of the study and contributions to biblical academia Mike did while on this earth.
i believe that Daniel was the one who is responsible for the magi. He, Daniel, became the head of the Caldeans, who were magicians and studied the stars, so he could have easily chosen a few to look for the messiah - knowledge passed down to a selected group. Chuck Missler has a study where he talks about this.
Thank you for making this comment now thanks to you I know the dates. September 11th 3BC was when Jesus was Conceived June 17th 2BC was when Jesus was born because Jupiter and Venus overlapping created the star of Bethlehem and made the 3 magi ride out and they arrived at Jesus on December 25th 2BC with Jesus dying on the Cross on April 3rd 33AD
Great information pertaining to 3 B.C, however John was given the Revelation about 95 AD, so 3 BC at that time was almost 100 years in the past, so it was historic at the time Revelation was written, so there was then meant to be a future happening that was being referred to as being a prophetic occurrence, something yet to happen.
@@jakethewhale Dr Daniel Wallace a brilliant NT scholar believes the Gospel of John and Revelation were written prior to the destruction of the temple meaning before AD 70
The September 11 stuff comes from The Birth of Christ Recalculated by the late Dr. Ernest L. Martin in the early 1980s, which was later reworked as The Star that Astonished the World. To the best of my knowledge, Martin was the first to propose this September 11 date. Another work is Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed by the late Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille. Wierwille was something of a controversial character, though he produced some interesting works. Portions of his book do appear to rely strongly on Martin's work.
Yes it was, but Dr. Heiser is teaching this in a class to students who most likely had not seen that video...as well as thousands who may watch this but not Rick Larsons
So, I would ask; how close were the events of 9/23-24/2017, to this event as presented? I'm no Astronomer, and do not consider myself a Bible scholar and/or particularly intelligent on such matters. However, I've seen numerous presentations relative September 2017, as being very close if not the same as the 3BC event? The numerous proponents of the 2017, heavenly display, claim it hadn't happened since 3 BC, and this portends coming of the Messianic age. I find every bit of this fascinating and am anxious to hear the forthcoming lecture, as started via, this video.
Isaiah 47:13-15 NIV. "All the counsel you have received has only worn you out. Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you. Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the flame… Each of them goes on in his error; there is not one that can save you."
EXCEPT Jupiter was in the Belly of virgo for 9 full months and then exited as though "birthed" dragon was beside waiting to Devour...the three wandering stars and Leo formed the 12 stars at her head...ONLY time ever in history that all components totally fit the Rev 12 description...clothed with sun, Moon under her feet also...
The birth took place 1,260 days BEFORE the Rev Sign on Passover 4/14/14. The Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse was at the feet of Virgo the Virgin in Libra or LEVI. Ask me how I know! ;)
Question: Daniel was the chief of the magi in his day. He was unmarried ... had no heir ... and was quite wealthy. God showed him much of the future. I think .. the magi of Jesus time ... had knowledge of Daniel's revelation ... and thus knew what to look for, and around what time. I also believe the gifts they brought was the inheritance of Daniel ... who well knew the meaning of those gifts.
To complete the thought ... does this makes sense... fit? That same constellation alignment occurred on Sept 23 .... 2016 or 2017 ... don't remeber the exact year.
Michael may have been referring to 1 Thessalonians 4:7 and linking it to Revelation 12:5. The fact that we will be caught up in the air to meet the Lord if we are alive during the rapture of the church. See Rev 11:12 also.
There were seven conjunctions of Jupiter (Regulus) in 3 BC. All were centered around the birth of Christ. The announcement of his coming would be on September 11, but the birth itself would be September 26, at tabernacles.
He states several times that Virgo is the only constellation named for a woman. I think he meant to say that it is the only constellation of the zodiac that was named for a woman.
This is great. But it’s in direct contradiction with the courses of the priests that would and the census Quirinius undertook as census-taker under Herod. There’s a 2 year and 3 month difference. How does Mike deal with that?
They didn’t show up until much later which is why King Herod had all the baby boys two years and under killed. Jesus was a child not an infant when they fled to Egypt.

There are a number of Evangelical ministers who floated September 23, 2017, as a return of this sign. It would have been the 24th in Israel, so I read. You can find a considerable amount of information online, some refuting and a great many more professing it matches Revelation 12, just as the 3BC event.

When it comes to prophecy most verses boil down to interpretation, in this case Revelation 12 "could be' refiring to the third of the stars as fallen angels. I'm in no way dogmatic about this interpretation but it is an option as opposed to having to do with astronomy.

It wouldn't surprise me if Christ's birthday is Sept 11. We don't know the date, but Satan is sure to remember. It would be like him to try and make a terrible date of Christ's birthday. Plenty of battles, coups, hurricanes, etc. And ties to the occult?
Agreed! I've heard some pretty compelling arguments and presented evidence that Christ was born on Sept 11th. The day of Trumpets especially what a great day to bring in the Messiah!
This is Heiser's distorted and erroneous theology. The "gods" in Psalm 82 are not divine beings. How do we know? Because the immediate context tells us. Nowhere in the entire Bible do "gods" judge humans unjustly, so that God now has to judge them. Human judges are described in Psalm 82 based on the immediate context of that Psalm. We know that humans were called "elohim" meaning judges because of passages like Exodus 21:6 and Exodus 22:8-9. Right now I am interviewing the author of the book "The Unbiblical Realm: Refuting the Divine Council of Michael Heiser’s Deuteronomy 32 Worldview." We both came to similar conclusions without knowing each other before, and he cites others who also take issue with Heiser's theology. This is not rocket science here. Heiser simply misread several passages. Case in point. I have heard him say that Deut. 32:8 where he takes as original the reading "Sons of God" instead of "sons of Israel," is related to Deut. 4:19. He then argues that Deut. 4:19 is speaking of "heavenly beings." But anyone reading the immediate context of Deut. 4 starting from verse 15 down to 19 will see the clear reference to God warning against IDOL worship, not worship of any alleged "divine beings." No, Moses is talking in that context about the problems with idol worship of different kinds, and when we get down to verse 19, the flow of thought continues as God warns against a different kind of idol worship, the worship of heavenly bodies, the "sun, moon and stars, all the host of heaven." So one of his key passages he got grossly wrong. The fact that Heiser missed this simple truth from the immediate context speaks volumes, and it also speaks to how people can be blinded by a theology that they can't see the obvious. Deut. 4:19 is not speaking about any kind of real "gods" or "divine beings." God there is warning against idolatry, man made idols (carved images per vs. 16), and idols people could make of heavenly bodies.

@@stylicho No, a planet or star only leads travelers in a direction. The magi likely journeyed some 400 miles, maybe less. Matthew 2:1-12 claims that a star led a group of wise men to the infant Jesus. Such a star is not mentioned in any of the other three gospels. Nor is it mentioned in any of the secular history or science of the time, such as Seneca’s Natural Questions (circa 65 CE) or Pliny the Elder’s Natural History (circa 80 CE). It is, moreover, implausible on its face: only a star emitting a single precision beam could lead people to an exact location on earth. If such a celestial marvel occurred, wouldn’t the entire countryside have followed the beam to discover whatever it was pointing to? How then could Jesus have grown up in obscurity? And wouldn’t it have been easier for Herod’s soldiers to follow that same star rather than kill every boy under the age of two? (Incidentally the Killing of the Innocents has no contemporaneous corroboration).
@@jeremybridges6015 that’s just as moronic as what is written in the new testament. How could a convergence of planets guide anyone to an exact place on earth?
Maybe, it was more than a star. A star that moved, you could follow. Yet, we know also from history what a new sight in the heavens could portend to people. For instance the arrival of a new king, not unheard of. Maybe a comet could portend something. I have no reason to be that skeptical. There is no way to disprove the account, from silence from other sources. Arguments from silence, just don't tell the tale.
@@pierrelabounty9917 Please! Please use some common sense. The text says that a star guided the magi to the exact place where Jesus was. How could a star possibly do that. Heiser is Totally wrong and in error on Psalm 82, Heiser has mislead so many on his teaching as well as his book the unseen realm. 😊😃🙂 VERY CLEAR that Jesus tells us who the gods/elohim are in both Psalm 82 and John 10 are human. Jesus has OWNERSIP to the answer. Not Heiser. Asaph the Prophet writes ESV Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:>>>>>>word of the Lord (God/Father) comes to prophet Asaph Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.”>>>>>>>>God (Father speaking thru prophet Asaph) WHY word of the Lord came to prophets like Asaph Psalm 82. John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),">>>>>Jesus who is God (Son) Fulfills the words that God (Father) had spoken thru Asaph to Humans. Note in Psalm 82: 1, ESV uses "divine council" other translations use "congregation of the mighty" or "great assembly". Check out the order Jesus uses “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," Law "gods" and Prophets (word of the Lord came to Prophets of God) What this is saying at who is in the Middle of the Law and the Prophets, that would be the "gods". The "gods" that Jesus is referencing are from Psalm 82. The "gods" are human and would be the Jews, becasue the Jews were given the Law and had the true Prophets of God. With that said the "gods" are human Jesus has Ownership to the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82 found in John 10. Heiser is CHEATING Jesus out of the answer and throwing Jesus under the bus. Heiser has lead so many astray with his explanation of Psalm 82. Scripture clearly tells us that the Jews were given the Law and had the Prophets, NOT a bunch of super angels that Heiser promotes. Super angels were NEVER given the Law or had the Prophets of God. Key points (7) 1.What Heiser NEVER explains the "Job Description" of prophets in the Old Testament. Most people are even unaware of who wrote Psalm 82. Asaph the prophet wrote Psalm 82 as well as other Psalms 50, 73-81 and 83. Prophets were the "VOICE" of God that is why it is IMPORTANT that Jesus Repeats and Fulfills these words...... Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” ........John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," Prophets would handle and carry the word of the Lord in the Old Testament, they were the representative of the words God whated to say>>>> the "Voice" of God. Jesus (Son) is fulfill in the New Testament what God (Father) had spoken thru the prophet. Even Moses is in the likeness of God to Pharoh, Exodus 7:1 "And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet." 2. Since Jesus is repeating what the Father had spoken and said thru the prophtet like Asaph. Since Jesus (Son) is addressing "HUMANS" in John 10, the same is that the God (Father) speaking thru the prophet Asaph in Psalm 82 (Asaph the "Voice" of God) would be addressing HUMANS in Psalm 82. Heiser likes to leave out the "I said" declaration of Jesus (Son) in John 10 and the the "I said" by God (Father) speaking thru the Prophet Asaph of Psalm 82. Jesus is God, God is ONE God made up of 3 persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The "I said" delararation is no different than an "I am" declaration. 3. The Godhead/Trinity This is how the 3 persons within the Godhead opearate and function. Only the Holy Spirit (God) can convince a person to understand why the Son (God) has to fulfill the words that the Father (God) that were spoken by the prophet like Asaph and other prophets as well in the Old Testament. It is Said that Jesus has fulfilled over 350 prophecies of in the New Testament from the prophets from the Old Testament. Even Isaiah the prophet who wrote Isaiah 53 was the "Voice" of God in the Old Testament, so Jesus can Fulfill what was said in Isaiah 53.....Isaiah 53 is about the Crucifixion of Christ. Jesus has Ownership to both prophets Isaiah and Asaph of what they wrote and how God (Father) spoke thru them. Prophets were given the word of the Lord 4. Jesus is the word/Word become flesh John 1: 14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." Jesus fulfills the Law and the Prophets, Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." No super angels of a divine council were ever given the Law and the Prophets, it would be the Nation of Israel 5. To address to "die like men" In Psalm 82: 7 is Referring to those bad elders, rulers, leaders or judges within the nation of Israel that have High Authority, they favor the wicked and judge unjustly, they do not follow through with their responsibilities, duties, and do not represent God or the law, these High Officials are just men, they have High Rank so they will die like men. They are human not divine beings. God has always set up rulers within the nation of Israel and even throughout the world. In Numbers 11: 16 “So the LORD said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you.” 1 Samuel 8 : 1-4 When Samuel became old, he made his sons judges over Israel. 2 The name of his firstborn son was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba. 3 Yet his sons did not walk in his ways but turned aside after gain. They took bribes and perverted justice. 4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. God has ALWAYS set up Governements in the world not just with in the Nation of Israel, Romans 13: 1 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." 6. Clearly the "gods/elohim" of Psalm 82 are human judges, some even apply kings. The Old Testament has a book called Judges as well as two other books 1 Kings & 2 Kings. No book in scripture is applied to something nonhuman or angelic. Psalm 82:6 "“I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’.... The word "sons" used in this passage is an "Adoptive" Term for Israel, Israel was the chosen people of God. 7. Psalm 89 has NOTHING to do with Psalm 82. Hieser likes to mix those chapters together. Psalm 89 is in the heavenly and spirtual realm when Psalm 82 is on the earth and the physical world. The same logic heavenly and spiriitual would apply to 2 Chronicles 18:21 and 1 Kings 22:19-23 where it mentions a scene in heaven and the lying spirit. The heavenly hosts in scripture refers to the sun, moon and stars. In Summary The Humans are Jewish rulers in both Psalm 82 and John 10. Psalm 82 Jewish rulers like judges or even kings. John 10 Jewish rulers like pharissees. Psalm 82 would be human, NOT a bunch of super angels, like Heiser promotes. Heiser throws Jesus under the bus. Heiser CANNOT answer the question of the gods/elohim of Psalm 82 becasue Jesus has already answered the question of the gods/elohim in John 10. Jesus has Ownership to the answer, since Jesus is addressing humans in John 10 the same would be humans are being addressed in Psalm 82, not a bunch of super angels of a divine council. Heiser has manipulated so many minds and has triggered the mind to think this "divine council" is non human. Jesus clearly gives us the answer the divine council is human. The phrase and title given "you are gods" is a legalistic title of Authority because the Jews were given the Law and as well as judge with the law. The Jews were given the Law and 10 commandments to govern them and council them, so it is imposible for this to be nonhuman spirit beings or angels. The Jews also had the True Prophets of God. God also established covenants with Humans, not nonhuman spirit beings or angels.
@@garyrodriguez8414 Heiser was a Blind Guide and deceived many. We now are exposed to a lot of DECEIT because of the social mediea influence, there are many Neocon Christians that promote all this nonsense of angels as sons of God. Here is a better explanation with Jesus in mind, more of a "Christ Minded" thought of Psalm 82, depends if you believe in the Trinity or not. The Trinity is One God as 3 persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This reponse is directed towards Heiser's teaching of Psalm 82. By the way Asaph the prophet wrote Psalm 82. Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10. It is not the Hebrew that counts, Jesus is the one who COUNTS, Reason why Jesus fulfills the words of the prophets in the OT in the NT. Jesus fullfills the words of the OT in the NT. Israel is the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman like this Heiser guy promoted. Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," 1. >>>>"I said, “You are gods” >>>>>ONCE by the God (Father) in Psalm 82. Aspaph is the Author and Psalmist of Psalm 82. Prophets of the Old Testament like Asaph the "word of the Lord" would come to Prophets like Asaph. Prophets were the "Voice" of God. God (Father) would communicate His words through the prophets, God does that here in Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;">>>>>>>>Israel, Psalm 82 uses the word "all". This clearly is not about a bunch of watchers/super angels of a divine council. The Psalms were written to and for Israel. 2. SECOND time Jesus in John 10: 34 Repeats >>>> ‘I said, “You are gods”

This is an amazing convergence of so many prophecies. How could the world possibly have missed it? I guess the same way the world is missing the second coming. 🤔
The Magi didn't miss it.
"Be not conformed to this world"
It happened again 1,260 days BEFORE the Rev 12 Sign on Passover 4/14/14. It was a BIRTH!
Ask me how I know!
Johnathon Cahn.
Such a great way to present it and give us the visuals in the heavens as well as the data corresponding with it. Can never say thank you enough to Dr. Heiser. He is sorely missed but know he's home.

I saw this years ago on the ‘Star of Bethlehem’ by Rick Larson.
Thank you for making this comment now thanks to you I know the dates.
September 11th 3BC was when Jesus was Conceived
June 17th 2BC was when Jesus was born because Jupiter and Venus overlapping created the star of Bethlehem and made the 3 magi ride out
and they arrived at Jesus on December 25th 2BC
with Jesus dying on the Cross on April 3rd 33AD
Great information pertaining to 3 B.C, however John was given the Revelation about 95 AD, so 3 BC at that time was almost 100 years in the past, so it was historic at the time Revelation was written, so there was then meant to be a future happening that was being referred to as being a prophetic occurrence, something yet to happen.
We are learned to think that John gets this revelations in the year 95.
But is that the truth?
And also is us learned to think, that the book revelations, are onley future revelations. But is that so?
We don't know for certain that John wrote Revelation in 95 AD
@@jakethewhale Dr Daniel Wallace a brilliant NT scholar believes the Gospel of John and Revelation were written prior to the destruction of the temple meaning before AD 70
The documentary The Star of Bethlehem by Rick Larson covered this. It was pretty interesting presentation.
Thanks for the post

Daniel was the chief of the magi in his day. He was unmarried ... had no heir ... and was quite wealthy.
God showed him much of the future.

Agreed! I've heard some pretty compelling arguments and presented evidence that Christ was born on Sept 11th. The day of Trumpets especially what a great day to bring in the Messiah!
My thoughts as well.
It all sounds dangerously close to divination, which we know it is written as strictly forbidden. What good is that information?
Seriously dont be this ignorant

Revelation 12 is about the birth of the king of the Nations (Ephraim).
.
It is about a man who will be THE SAME as Jesus Christ. A second messiah.
.
Understand what Jesus Christ explicitly said while quoting Psalm 2 about someone other than himself:
.
Revelation 2:26-27
And to him that conquers and observes my deeds down to the end I will give AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS, 27 and he shall shepherd the people with an iron rod so that they will be broken to pieces like clay vessels ** THE SAME ** as I have received from my Father

Heiser is Totally wrong and in error on Psalm 82, Heiser has mislead so many on his teaching as well as his book the unseen realm.
😊😃🙂
VERY CLEAR that Jesus tells us who the gods/elohim are in both Psalm 82 and John 10 are human. Jesus has OWNERSIP to the answer. Not Heiser.
Asaph the Prophet writes ESV Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:>>>>>>word of the Lord (God/Father) comes to prophet Asaph
Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.”>>>>>>>>God (Father speaking thru prophet Asaph) WHY word of the Lord came to prophets like Asaph Psalm 82.
35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"
Law "gods" and Prophets (word of the Lord came to Prophets of God)
What this is saying at who is in the Middle of the Law and the Prophets, that would be the "gods".
Key points (7)
1.What Heiser NEVER explains the "Job Description" of prophets in the Old Testament. 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"
Prophets would handle and carry the word of the Lord in the Old Testament, they were the representative of the words God whated to say>>>> the "Voice" of God. Jesus (Son) is fulfill in the New Testament what God (Father) had spoken thru the prophet. Even Moses is in the likeness of God to Pharoh, Exodus 7:1 "And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet."
Prophets were given the word of the Lord
4. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." No super angels of a divine council were ever given the Law and the Prophets, it would be the Nation of Israel
In Numbers 11: 16 “So the LORD said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you.”
1 Samuel 8 : 1-4 When Samuel became old, he made his sons judges over Israel.
The authorities that exist have been established by God."
In Summary
The Humans are Jewish rulers in both Psalm 82 and John 10.
Do you just enjoy creating doubt and confusion? Who is written that does such things?
@@garyrodriguez8414 Heiser was an apostate and a blind guide, the confusrion comes from Heiser and his foolish teaching.
@@garyrodriguez8414
Heiser was a Blind Guide and deceived many.
It is not the Hebrew that counts, Jesus is the one who COUNTS,
Reason why Jesus fulfills the words of the prophets in the OT in the NT.
Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;
John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"
What a load of nonsense.
