Unfortunately the DVLA don't recognise poptops as valid hi-top roofs so you won't be re-registering that van as a camper. Although if it was already classified as a camper before the new rules then you're good.
Price is great, plus I’ve had their product before on a T5 and wasn’t disappointed, guarantee is solid, they have local fitters to me. I’ve gotten to know the company personally as well through my first video, so I know them and trust them. Not saying other makes aren’t as good or inferior, I’m just happy with Austops on a number of levels. You pay your money & make your choice!
Looks great. Is there any kind of blind or something to pull over the driver and passenger seats when the roof is down or is it just open so that you see the red folded canvas all the time?
Yeah, agree. Some folk make an extra cover from carpeted ply to cover the gap, both when driving and also when sleeping to stop pillows potentially falling down the hole! When it’s carpeted and all kitted put it won’t look as brutal, but the red stands out a bit, whereas a lighter canvas (like a grey) is less obvious against the usual van coloured interior.
Yes that’s the way to go. It’ll be a couple of years before I get around to a pop top but definitely worth remembering. Certainly makes the van a whole lot more flexible doesn’t it
Just seen the video, been at work for 16 hours and just catching up. Nice work by the lads, the Van's really taking shape 👍😎
Thanks, I’m pleased with it!
I’m getting an Austops roof fitted next week can’t wait!
Good choice 👍🏼

Yeah, thanks, my insurance aren’t bothered what it’s registered as 👍🏼
Cool ! Where can i buy this roof in the uk? i live in the netherlands. And is there any instructions with it?
Contact Austops, they have a European network
Just ordered one of these to be fitted by a company local to me. Don’t suppose you know if the Scenic Canvas is standard or is it an optional extra?
It’s an optional extra bud, check out the price list on the Austops website for an idea of cost ✅
Is there a reason why you went for that colour? When you've got a blue stripes
I’ve taken the blue stripes off since 👌🏼
what made you go with austops above all other brands??

Is the seal at the top of the windscreen additional too? 9:20 into the video or is that oe
Yep, they bond that seal on, helps direct the wind over the roof from the windscreen

No blind, it’s open.
That’s a pity, it just looks like it needs something.

GDUBTV looks great. I'm going to try and knock up some kind of cover for the space on mine. Keep up the good work mate
