That has been fitted so much better than the muppets that fitted my Austop, wish I had used vanimal to fit mine.

I ordered a new 4motion T6 yesterday after months of looking for a good used model, now I'm looking for aftermarket upgrades , your channel is excellent for this , that pop top looks great. subscribed.

Nice! You may already know this but just in case. Always put roof down with window open or ideally sliding door open. Allows the canvass to fold in and stop getting caught in the scissors. Consider a bungee around pop top to help with this. There is a thing called a pop top bungee! Before finally pulling down tight to the frame do a quick check to ensure canvass is tucked away. Then enjoy!
A bungee rubs on the canvas - it’s the worst idea possible. Fold the canvas in properly and it will last a long time.

The pop top you've got is a good well known make it's always worth spending at extgermany to get what you want It looks good though what you've done you've just got a shop around I'm a lot of good though I like it You change your double seat to a single sentenceBecause that's what people do change a double seat to a single seat

They have all their staff work on one van at a time and get a amazing job done super quick
We booked a half a week holiday but they had it done same day and i would totally recommend them

As i believe they're quite new and deserve to be seen if you are in the south west looking for a poptop or conversion

@@loopsmybrother6156 I’m not part of the brand. Regardless what my video is about. It’s unfair for someone to use it as an advert to sell something else. It’s fine if it’s just ‘another option’. Or a solution to a problem. But if it’s just spreading the word about a different product because you are part of that brand. Or a friend or family member own that company then it’s not cool. 👍🏻
A black pop top roof gets no hotter inside as long as you have the mesh side windows for ventillation. The bad news is because it is black the sunlight is absorbed along with the sun's heat into the pop top material itself, which causes problems. My black pop top and the installer that i used's van black pop top, both overheated in that intense sun in the summer. It caused the anti slip rubbers under the rear scissor mechanism supports to degrade, this caused the pop tops to be able to walk forward within the pop top bolt positioning slide holes ( driven by the struts ), even though the bolts were fitted to the correct torque, which eventually fouled the deflector causing it to not shut. The pop top had to be readjusted, new anti slip rubbers placed underneath the scissor supports and two new round locator screw holes and screws fitted in each scissor leg support, to stop it from walking forward ever again. The fitter said that this has only happened twice to him and both were black pop tops.
As a belt and braces approach, I personally am going to get some insulated silver deflector material, to place over the hinge areas of the pop top, when it is hot next summer, when it is laid up.

Do you know if they have an option to have the sliding panel to finish off the ceiling when the bed is down? So that the straps and tent isnt visible in the cab?
I don’t think they do. Someone reached out to me on insta and has offered me one. A fixed panel. I may take a look.

Out of Interest, does the black canvas increase heat in the sun? I am getting a West Dubs fitted and thinking dark grey, I could go to a lighter colour but don't want the inside of the van bathed in a colour such as red or blue with the sunlight. Could go to a light grey.

Get a bellows bungee, they are a game changer. And it stops the hinges cutting the canvas

will you go for the same swivels as the last Sprinter the KT68 reg one ? I think they are great but maybe theres other options now. Good video Aidan, even though im a Sprinter guy its interesting to see how work is done. Seeing the practical sides of van construction is what I look for. Well done

@@urbanarkoverland well I wanted two singles in my Sprinter but I couldn't get a single seat for less that a grand for the new shape and done exactly what you did and purchased the swivels from RJCampersolutions, retaining the single and a double in the front. I must say that im glad I stayed with the double as my son and I can chill out lying across all the front seats with adding a few pillows. Couldn't have done that with two singles. And you of course get three passengers in the front. Swings and roundabouts but its a campervan after all and lounging around is key. But I get the idea of less faffing in a day van and getting in the back from the drivers seat.

Hi mate. The rails are mainly aesthetics. The roof will take 25kg. Enough for a decent size solar panel 👌🏻
Are you able to leave a SIM or any bedding in the roof when down? Or does it all have to come out if you want to take the van for a drive?

I have had a pop top fitted to my 70 reg Fiat Talento, which is the same van as yours I think, the one before Vauxhall was bought out by stellantis. I had a Drivelodge pop top fitted. Contact Drivelodge, they will put you onto a reputable, recommended by them fitter in your area. These vans make excellent campers, good luck ! By the way, you can get away with a 120 cm wide rib bed in these vans and have decent cupboard width as well. I went fir the rib altair bed. Much better than a rock n roll bed in comfort and accessibility to storage beneath although more expensive but worth it. You sleep on the flat underneath surface as well not on the contoured seat surface.

I have one question due to a wheelchair occupant I am limited to roof height. so if you can answer the question do you lose any height from the roof's original cross beams centrally down the length of the vehicle.
So imagine the roof is as normal. At the pillar and at all the doors etc. then 6 inches in from that all the way around is opened up. Of course the pop top can be used without a bed frame just for head space.

Thanks for the reply my concern was with the roof down and travelling would I lose any headroom down the central length. The wheelchair tie-downs are to the central area and he has to travel in his specialist chair. I did realise from the good video that I would lose height around the side area. @@urbanarkoverland

Not really mate. They say 25kg. Only because it will stress the hinges. Roof bars look good.
