This is gold. Dave shows why he's still the king of riffs.
This riff is Kiko's no Dave's.
Nice to see Dave toss Kiko a bone.
Dave is music the greatest of all time
Dave will be 61 years old September 13th.
Megadeth is still on fire! 🤘☢️🤘
Old, young no matters what..... Still the same taste... Man!!! Dave can still kick your ass.... He is still hungry....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥\m/
Hey I'm 55 I love Megadeth I love Dave Mustaine it's all about the attitude and relevance of the lyrics one of the best heavy metal songwriters of all time. :-) :-)
Megadeth finaly back to the roots😊
Thrash attack🤘🏻
This isn't about a specific war. This is about how the dude with the bomb got turned into Vic Rattlehead. 3 part series of videos about his story. The riffs in it pay homage to the song Rattlehead and a lot of the Peace Sells album.
I agree, you can definitely hear that "Gar Samuelson" influence in the drums, Dave wasn't kidding when he said that Dirk Verbeuren sounds a lot like Gar Samuelson.
I always thought of Vic as random dude who is chosen to be Vic throughout each album.but this one is cool ,kinda like the dystopia Vic with the sword.maybe someday we'll get the Vic and Eddie crossover.
best honest review of Dave and life from the old guy. Brilliant
For me, Dave Mustaine's greatest talent as a guitarist is his uncanny ability to constantly, and consistently be able to come-up with the most skull-crushing guitar riffs imaginable, his soloing is great too, I also love the lyrics he comes up with as well, they are always snarlingly angry with that famous Dave Mustaine snarl.
Mustaine said in a interview regarding the speed of the album saying he has some bands in his crosshairs would lime to know which bands he's referring to
Me too!!!
He’s been gunning for metallica for years now, he’ll claim that it’s all behind him but I know for a fact that he wants to do SOMETHING better than them
@@S1LVERF15 He allready has.
Here's a bit of trivia for you, when Megadeth first started out, Dave Mustaine's concept for the band was that it would be like a nuclear bomb going off in the Metal scene that was current back in the mid 80's, I'm fortunate that I was in my mid teens back in 1985 and 1986 so i do have memories from back then.
Dirk is their drummer. He used to play in bent sea and soilwork
Dave is not in his 50's he's 60 and still killing it 😊👍
Great reaction
Nice reaction guys. I had pretty much the exact same reaction as the older guy had. We're probably close to the same age. The way I've been explaining this new song to others is like this: Megadeth is back,...it's still all Dave all the time but now with 80% more Kiko. No disrespect to the other guys. I'm sure there are other songs with more room for them to shine. This new album could end up being their very best.
The last guy Dave kicked out of Megadeth was Nick, before Jr. That was way back in 98. The line up changes was because Dave got injured, so there was no band, or Glen and Shawn Drover left, Broderick left, LoMenzo left and Adler left. The fact that Poland came back to track solos for The System Has Failed, and Lomenzo came back to be a member again should tell us something. Dave was trying. He also made attempts to get the RIP line back.
Kiko and Dirk have been with the band for the last 6-7 years, and Lomenzo was in the band previously and recorded two kick ass albums with Megadeth. Really, this current lineup has collectively been together the second longest, right behind the RIP lineup. And man are they very capable.
So, I know Dave has this reputation. But really a lot of it was out of his control. But, not to say those members didn't leave because of him. There is only so much you can say in Megadeth, when Dave is the ultimate decision maker. I can see how that's frustrating for some musicians. But, many of these guys would be unknown had they not been in Megadeth. Even Marty would still be virtually unknown outside of the guitar world. Guitar virtuosos can only be so famous until they join an established band with fans.
Great reaction. Thanks for the content.
Cool
AGUANTE MEGADETH Y DAVE SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA 🇦🇷
great reaction. you guys are what I expect to see. keep it that way! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
The thing I love most about Megadeth's latest drummer, Dirk Verbeuren, is that he seems to have brought-back that early Gar Samuelson sound in his drumming that Megadeth were lacking on some of their later albums from the Nick Mensa era, don't get me wrong, I mean no disrespect towards Nick Mensa cause he did a great job, but Dirk Verbeuren seems to have re-vitalized Megadeth, Kiko Loureiro has also re-vitalized Megadeth as well.
Dave is the man! And that band! Damn i'm addicted 🤘🔥
Saw them live last year amazing
Based on what we listened mehadeth's song before...some people said this song like Peace Sells Album, other said SFSGSW album..or Dystopia, or Rust In peace....thats all trur....this song like a Megadeth Hystories
This is your beginning. Dave is killing it!
Soilwork old drummer, dirk verbeuren. hes a beast and has his own drumming technique the dirk blast
50's?? Mustaine is 60 lol also, this definitely gives of Good Mourning/Black Friday vibes fromb1986
Mustaine is actually 60.
thought same thing. i know he's got me by 10. fav band of all time.
This sounds like peace sells and killing is my business but business is good. Speed metal! Fricken rips!
Dave Mustaine is already 60
Hes got my fucking vote
Ducking awesome
About the beginning of Vic. Wonder if chapter 2 will be like holy wars and the punisher.. his revenge!
Dave is still an Amazing song writter 👍🤘👏
nice one lads
🤘😛🤘 killer song
Do you guys like Parkway Drive? They just released 2 brand new videos for songs called "Glitch" and "The Greatest Fear". They are complete slammers. Probably the best guitar tones I've ever heard them do. So damn heavy. You should do a reaction video to each of those
Yeah..the only thrash band that hasn't sold out.
Well, they did sell out, but then they changed course and went back to their roots
What about like...the others that play incredible thrash? Also megadeth did sell out big time lol
If you think Megadeth's latest single, We'll Be Back, sounds sick, I recommend that you should have a good listen to all the songs off of their first album, Killing Is My Business, that's the album that We'll Be Back reminds me of.
Of course we will listen to fuckin metal in our 100s 🤘
Dave is Metal, Metal is Dave, much respect for him, more than anyone in Metal
Dave is 60 and undoubtedly the undisputed king of thrash metal...
sounds like earlier late 80s peace sells ( devils Island, conjuring, etc ) take a listen
My main criticism of all the newer Metal bands we hear about is that they seem to be more interested in sounding like what's most popular, or what's top of the charts, or the next Meshuggah, or the next this or that band, that's all well and good, but it means that the Metal scene starts to sound a bit too homogenized, and it is missing what the Metal scene used to have back in the day, I remember growing-up in the era where Speed and Thrash Metal were considered cutting-edge genres, and it was a way more exciting time.
Mustaine is he's 60's tho :) Nice reaction :)
I totally agree, the old school stuff sounds way better to my ears than the new school stuff which I think is trying too hard to sound like what's popular, or what's top of the charts, or what's selling.
One of the first tracks off of Megadeth's first album: ua-cam.com/video/vzs5wUXHCPs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Megadeth-Topic
Sweet Megadeth rules 🐲🔮🐲🐉😎🐲
Megadeth kicks ass..
sept 2nd AOTY coming
And since there's the current conflict between the Ukraine and Russia, that makes Megadeth's talk about war and politics all the more relevant in 2022.
I'd like to see a reaction to Megadeth's new Life in Hell video released today...
60s to be correct 💪👌
Still playing amazing
they dont make metal like this anymore
I seem to remember a period in the 90's where guitar solos were frowned-on and guitarists weren't that interested in playing solos, cause it was thought to be "uncool", I also remember that a lot of bands that didn't play solos tended to sound a bit samey and boring after a while too, you know that "shoe-gazing" era.
THRASH GODS PERIOD
Megadeth fans all doing that stink face right now. I can't wait.
Be a good reaction video if u didn't pause every other second guys
Not bad for a 60 year old!!🤟☢️🤟☢️🤟☢️
Not sure how true it is but Ive also heard that Dave is hard to play with because he doesnt want to pay you much
Could be true. Only he will know. Maybe he thinks that is all they are worth
It really is the Dave Mustaine Band, the only reason he calls it Megadeth, is it sounds better.
This has nothing to do with either the covid nonsense or Ukraine and Russia.
The lyrics and the video have several means in them both together and separately.. The song itself is about war.. War is the I and we in the song.. The video then dove tails this with depictions of the randomness and violence of war.. The choices that can change human history in a moment..
This is chapter 1 of 3.. There's still more of this story to be told.
To be clear the albums name and it's songs were largely conceived and written early 2019.
