Rolex shines everyday and lustre every moment but when it comes to upgrading a watch dont you think it ruins the vintage originality of the same and instead of upgrading a watch would you consider going back to the timeline a buy a watch of 90's ?
They had the James Cameron at an AD here in Bangkok a few months ago. Saw it, tried it but didn't buy.

i think the best rolex dive watch is the SD43....the proportions on that watch are near perfect... no disrespect but the problem with James Cameron is its just to thick...

Waiting lists are a fallacy. They either go out the back door to Grey Dealers or directly to customers like you who buy extensively from them. That wouldn't have even made it to the display. All you have to do is go into a Rolex AD looking the part, wearing a good Rolex and start buying with them, like a Datejust 41 which isn't on a wait list, but a good watch and they will get you the steel sports. @tim_mosso did a good review of this 126660 and compared it to the predecessor 116660. He confirmed what I had noticed on the Instagram account of a US AD called Henne Jewellers, showing shots of the front and back. They have narrowed the lugs to accommodate the wider bracelet, which is supposed to be the same as the Sky-Dweller you wore to pick it up. Personally, I'd rather have the wider lugs and narrower bracelet, it's a stronger attachment, but it looks good and will be adequately resilient. My friend on Instagram @iam.jrcrolexdawwg has the 116660 and it weighs 213 grammes. 8 grammes less than the 116719BLRO, so if you ever get an 18ct GMT-Master II or 116619LB Smurf, they weigh roughly the same as your new 126660.
Maybe the supply is reduced, but that is how they are allocated. They never make it to the display.

SR104 I reckon it’s either a c43 or 63 or maybe something on the lines of an e43

One of my favorite rolexes I’ve got near 8 inch wrists so I like everything they have that’s over 40 and totally agree on the bracelet analogy was spot on.

I have heard at least 3 people having similar experience, wherein Rolex tells them that waiting list is on for 15 - 20 months and all of a sudden they would call up the person in a month's time to tell that ' the watch' is here. I guess it's just a marketing gimmick they are playing.

Dont understand these watches, it's a dive watch and probably will never see any water. It's too much for a watch too bulky and not even pretty, it's really about status bit of a shame because Rolex makes nice watches.

6:09 You missed one thing (I own one as well). They also lengthened the minutes and the seconds hands ever so slightly so these hands sweep exactly with the dial markers (just barely touch them). If you look at the old 116660 then you will see there is a small space between these hands and the dial markers whereas with this new 126660 they sweep perfectly with them. Oh, and bezel misalign alert at 5:24 onwards. ;)

You should have kept the 116660 as it is the iconic model . Plus the Saphire on the old model is more domed. And it has the old apparently more precise movement.... information has been thoroughly discussed on rlx. My guess it the 116660 will be the more sought after model.
