It's a beautiful watch. Definitely, a thumbs-up move. Is it safe to keep things in a safety deposit box in the UK? Here in US banks are not responsible if something happens to the contents of the safety deposit box. And safety deposit boxes are not federally insured. Just wondering.
The bank only covers a specific amount on valuables in the safety deposit boxes so unfortunately i still need excess insurance to cover the necessary items, it still works cheaper than me increasing the premium on my house insurance.. here in the UK the SDB are safe (haven’t heard anything yet) fingers crossed
That’s great. At least they cover something. I collect coins, precious metals and watches so first thing I did was look into SDB. When I found out here in US, banks are not liable if contents of the SDB goes missing or damaged I bought a safe for my home. I’ve been keeping all my valuables there.
I'm amazed that you appeared to be walking around London with your new purchase in a Rolex carrier bag. Brave man. When I purchased my Rolex watches I left the AD each time using a Tesco or Aldi bag. Much safer.

Surreal isn't it, I have just hit my 37th new Rolex purchase in my family + all my vintage pieces. I have never sold one of them, I love collecting them to pass onto my daughters for my future generations. Its such a rewarding addiction to have.

My recommendations for your next buy LWC: Buy a yachtmaster, yachtmaster 2, President Day Date, Explorer and Explorer 2 polar dial, as well as a Cellini and a Milgauss. Also go for an Oyster perpetual in a unique colour or the mereorite dial in the Pepsi. You should also look at a Rainbow bezel rolex like a Rainbow Daytona or a tutti frutti yachtmaster (I know it's not your style but would complete your collection).
To me it seems for LWC the experience is a major factor in watch buying, and a proper Rolex experience is quite different from most others. But I agree, Rolex over and over and over is a bit boring when there's A. Lange's and... anything other than sports watches
That looks so much better than the one in a jubilee. I was offered the same one in a jubilee and it just did not sit well. On the oyster it looks stunning

To be honest, I prefer my Casio f91w on a black nato strap, it's got the lot, time, date, day, stopwatch, light, ok the light is not great, alarm and it's cheap and looks great on the wrist, what's not to love 👍👍👍

Love the dark grey dial and green indeces! The configuration looks good in daylight, but the single lumed hourmarker kills the symmetry. They discontinued this model in two-tone for a short period, but brought it back later (re-introduced with Roger Federer I believe). Enjoy and wear it in good health!

Datejust Wimbledon dial is a super cool watch... looks great as a dress watch and with casual outfits too. I picked up mine recently and I absolutely and I love it.

Hey I have an suggestion, why don’t you buy a tag heuer? For instance the tourbillion or however you spell it. That costs around £14k. Or maybe a formula one and perhaps the new autavia
I think when closing the clasp you should push towards the center of clasp to allow mechanism to flex, but I guess you have 13 of them and know better.
I like the rhodium dial and its really hard deciding which DJ to have. But for me a DJ should be on a jubilee bracelet. Preferably also a fluted bezel.

I always thought they should use green dial printing and date wheel on this model - basically replace everything that’s currently white with green.
