I actually opted to send it back because it was awkward for me to hold. I really liked it and it sounds nice so it was no flaw in the harp. Because I am learning to play a large harp, which requires specific hand forms, and this harp has to be held, I didn't want to try to learn both ways at once. If you want to learn on a smaller, lap type harp, then I would recommend this one. It really depends on what your long term goals are. I tried several small harps--bean shaped, lute, lap, etc. Each had their pros and cons. Since I wanted to learn to play on a floor harp, I needed to skip the small ones and find something bigger. From my own experience, I have to say that it is easier to learn on a large harp as opposed to a small one. I own a used Rees Fullsicle that I found for a great price on Craigslist, and just purchased a new Lyon and Healy Drake.

I am seeing conflicting information- is this lute harp tuned as c3-c6 or c4-c7? Thanks!
