This is why men should never help women again, poor man was only trying to help and gets ridicule for it. Id never help one again.

Well some women are not doing us any favours, why didn’t she just say that she was a professional golfer and said thanks for advice but don’t need it. She didn’t need film him, the penchant for filming everything on smartphone today is mind boggling, from selfies at Auschwitz to New Years Eve celebrations.

@@ross-y2x Well quite, however I still think that her approach of filming him was wrong though. Some of my own sex really piss me off sometimes.

Obviously, he didn't know who she was, most likely cause he didn't watch female golf. He was just being nice. This is why people dont try and help other people cause they get shamed for it! It's called advice. If you want to listen, then do so. If not, then dont, but dont take the piss out of people for only being nice. If women keep doing this sort of thing, then it will get to the point where men won't help with anything. Women stuck with a flat tyre on the roadside..... figure it out for yourselves or heavy objects struggling to get it, move it. Your problem not a kind man offering help. Ect

Approaching a random stranger you don't know isn't "being nice", it's interrupting someone's day and putting your nose into someone's else business uninvited. Respect the boundaries of other people and let them get on with their lives.
If people need help, they'll ask. If not, stay out of people's way.
Would he have interrupted a bloke on his own? No. So why think it's ok to go up to a female stranger?

    "Mansplaining" is a ridiculous term.

No, he wasn't trying to help. He was angry that he would never get a woman like her, and that she played better than him. His ego couldn't take it. He didn't listen to her and cut her off. He even ordered her to play a shot and took credit for her great shot!
A man who wants to help asks if she'd like some advice. And the tone is not dictatorial.
Every woman who has played golf has had something similar happen to her.

What you all don't seen to understand is that we just want to be left alone and not approached by random men.
We're going about our business, doing our thing and it's you're not entitled to just come up and monopolise our attention and time.
How would you like it if a different random bloke interrupted you wherever you went while you're going about your day?
Seriously. How would you like it? You'd just want people to piss off and leave you alone. Admit it.

He wasn't trying to chat her up! He was clumsily trying to help.
His intentions were probably good but it's been turned into some kind of attack on blokes.
      Indicative of society really.

I've never heard of her, so she can't be that big in the world. Most likely, the guy offering advice hasn't heard of her as he probably doesn't watch female golf. So he was nice thinking he might be able to help her with her swing. Might of thought she was just starting to play golf.

Happens all the time at driving ranges to everyone. They are rife with people who know everything about the game and can't help but try and give you tips on your game.
It's a type of narcissism that's true enough, but it's not predatory.

I'm not scratch but single figure and had this happen in the same situation when I was working on a drill.
Might be mansplaining but this is just bad etiquette at the driving range
I'd never offer advice unless asked. You have no idea what the other golfer is working on.
