      Right! Not relying on sweet tea to give me a boost has been "life changing"! I never looked at the calorie count until I saw how hard I had to work to burn off those calories :)

    You look awesome!! This is my year, my babies are grown and out now so it's time for me to really take care of me! It's something I should have done long before now but it's never too late to get started and I can't wait to see a healthier me very soon!

    Amazing!! Congratulations, your hard work had paid off. I am so glad you're back, and look forward to many more videos to come. But, I'm glad you took time for YOU! I can honestly say of all the channels I subscribe to and watch, yours is my favorite. No, really! I am around the same age, an empty nester mom of a married daughter and son, love crafting (currently creating a whole new craft room from my daughter's old room), love thrifting, love being with my family...so I just feel "at home" when I watch your videos. Again, this was so great to watch and inspiring/informational. I've picked up some good advice on healthier eating that I want to incorporate into my day. Thanks for sharing!

    I love that you used common sense to get the weight off! I just started this same approach today (Feb 1), because I have put on weight due to stress eating. Pulling out the exercise videos TODAY as well as keeping this video in my Favorites for inspiration! Thanks for sharing! Have missed seeing your videos, but understand you need to put YOU first!       You go Phyllis! Make sure you don't push to hard, that was key for me because if I was too sore I would skip a workout and then that becomes a vicious circle

    You look amazing, but even better, you sound like you feel amazing! Your energy levels are inspiring. I think I'll get back into my routine today. I worked out everyday for 120 days last winter-early summer. When the kids got out of school it was too hard to keep up with. Thanks for the pep talk! Xo

    You look great, congratulations! I need to lose about 30lbs and started yesterday, just calorie counting and tracking what I'm eating rather than just eating whatever I want all the time (which I've been doing for far too long). Thank you for sharing, this was really motivating! xx

      Missed you, btw, and happy you are back. I have been on a break since Christmas and am loving it, it I'm almost missing it. Thanks for your encouragement.     I love this!! I was kind of nervous to click on this video because I feel like whenever I do they're always trying to sell something!! But I can do this!! I also love how you show the balance of keeping a few of your favorite things occasionally. I have done a few whole 30s but it's not realistic for regular life for me. I love this more balanced approach!! And You look beautiful!!!

      Thank you. I want to continue eating this way as a lifestyle so I wasn't concerned about how fast it was coming off just that is was coming off, as long as I ws moving down every week I was happy.

    Great video. You look awesome. Love that the length of the video is 20:17, perfect for the new year! You should check out dance fitness with Jessica. She has actual classes during the week but also does a live stream of her class for a small charge. But most of her dances are on UA-cam for free!

    Welcome back. Have missed you videos. Congratulations on the weight loss. God love you for exercise in the a.m. That's something I can not do. I'd love to and get it out of the way for the day, but nope this old girl doesn't function that early. lol exercising and diet are something I've gotten away from (once again) because like you said it became a "have to" and not a "want to". Maybe soon once the weather straightens up I'll get that "want to" back. Tfs

      Because of my husband and my son's work schedule mornings are MY time. Sometimes I will squeeze a workout in at night when my son is at school.

    I'm a sahm to three kiddos one of which is only 6months old and still nurses a lot. I love your realistic approach to weight loss. I've tried so many different weight loss diets but always fall off as they're just so unrealistic. Momma needs coffee and some chocolate 😂

      Thank you! When my kids were little I tried all those crazy diets and I couldn't stick to them, life always got in the way. That said the 90's were not my friend, I wish had lost it when my kids were little but now I can be a sexy old gal, LOL

      I use the full fat good stuff! Ranch or bleu cheese, usually from the refrigerated section in produce. I do like some of the Panera brand lower calorie dressings as well. I don't usually pour it all over my salad.

    Thanks! This was so helpful😊 I mix my tunas too! The only white food I have problems completely giving up is pasta. Do you ever let yourself have pasta?

      Thank goodness I'm not a big pasta fan, so that isn't really a problem for me. Being Irish, potatoes are harder ;)

    Do you eat brown rice or bread they feel at Publix called"Daves Killer Bread". It's organic, thin sliced with 21 whole grains and seeds. Thanks😋

      I will eat brown rice and I substitute it for white rice. I haven't heard of Dave's bread but I found some low carb wraps in the deli that I will eat on occasion.

    great job momma! Try the smoothies with some spinach. You could even eliminate the milk or yogurt or both. I just do blueberries, spinach, cinnamon, powdered peanut butter and a banana with water

      Hahahaha. I used to be very active and I really missed challenging my body, I love going from a girly push up to a regular push up! I look to those successes more than the scale, that B*!#@& is a liar! LOL

    Kelly a jewish friend of mine in high school gave me a recipe for plain tuna it was salt pepper and onions on a deli bagel wheat if you ever eat bagels again it is delicious

      I think the weight loss has been a result of feeling better. I take loads of vitamins and see an endocrinologist for my thyroid.

    Do you ever eat things like lean cusines and what about pasta do you eat pasta ? I have always heard it is a good thing to avoid

      I don't like packaged meals because they have too much salt and preservatives. I am not a big fan of pasta so I don't miss it.

      She said she started at 20 to 30 minutes, listened to her body, and 4 months in had moved up to an hour to 1.5, 5-6 days a week. (By the way it is the same to divide an hour of exercise up into 20 minute sections throughout the day :)

    You look wonderful but you looked great before. I just started a healthy eating plan also I lost 34 lbs but when my daughter got pregnant, yea gained 20 back!!! oops she was a bad influence ha ha you look great !!! TFS!!!

    BEAUTIFUL🌺 AND INSPIRED, I NEED TO GET ABOUT 15 OFF. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN REALISTIC, I LEARNED LONG AGO, WHEN YOU DO CRAZY DIETS THEY DONT KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF, AND NOT SO HEALTHY, SO YOU ARE SO RIGHT JUST MODERATION AND EXERCISE. I WAS WONDERING IF YOUR THYROID MEDS WERE EFFECTED WHEN YOU LOST THE WEIGHT. I ALSO TAKE THYROID, I HAD MINE REMOVED SO I HAVE TO TAKE IT FOR LIFE, AND I KNOW SOMEIMES EITHER WEIGHT GAIN OR WEIGHT LOSS WILL EFFECT YOUR LEVELS. ANYWAY THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO, I NEEDED THIS EXTRA BOOST💃💃💃💃

      vanessa Herron I had my thyroid removed also, I have Hashimotos and being gluten free really helps with that and helps with weight loss. That being said I don't substitute gluten bread (white, wheat bread) with gluten free bread, I just don't eat bread at all well at least I try. Like more Maureen said take out the white stuff it helps.

      I haven't been to the endocrinologist in awhile but I am do to go. Thanks for letting me know I never thought my levels would be effected by weight loss.

      I also have Hashimotos and I've been playing with the idea of going gluten free. I follow Dr. Joel Wallach for the past few years and I'm just now coming around to considering a lifestyle change.

      Kelly - House of Aqua Being gluten has helped my inflammation so much that I was able to stop taking my diuretic I was taking for 8 years for water retention and inflammation. That is if I don't cheat, recently I fell off the wagon with gluten and needed to take my diuretic again :(. I swell up so badly when I eat gluten. Hopefully I can get back on track again. Another great dr to follow us Dr Josh Axe, love his channel.
