    Hello I saw you have a amp in your VW is it for bass? Does your VW have noise cancelling technology ? Thanks for the awesome video

      I installed an amp and subwoofers in it I don’t think ours had the noise cancelling technology.

    Your not supposed to reuse those plastic drain plugs. They are designed to be replaced each oil change. In the long run your gonna have an oil leak and wonder why.

    • @FF54Vic
      @FF54Vic  2 роки тому

      It’s not technically the plastic drain plug that leaks sit at the seal of rounds that eventually you can use the dream plug for a maximum of re-loyal changes and then you should look at replacing unless there’s any physical where to the drain plug. I was also thinking that they needed replace after Each oil change I contacted the dealer and they said you can replace the oil but it’s a third oil change. You should be putting in a new plug so technically you can use the same drain plug provided there is no physical where to it for two oil changes, but obviously it is all vehicle owner discretion at the when you choose to actually replace that.

      The replacing of the oil drain plug at every oil change is also based off of a 10,000 mile oil change. I do an oil change on the volts wagon at 5000 miles instead of the 10,000 mile recommended oil change because however oil technically doesn’t break down and the oil filter just gets dirty I still just change everything at 5000 miles.

      Yes the plastic drain plug has a rubber seal and that is what tends to fail overtime and leak. That’s what I was referring to👍🏻

    hey dude just wondering but on this GLI model are there fog lights and are there welcome lights? I ordered a 2024 model and I read somewhere that it has those features.

      Some models do but mine didn’t I had a Jetta S so I just ordered the fog lights for an R-Line and installed them. I needed up hooking them in to my parking lights to come on as a driving light

      @@FF54Vic its weird cuz up here in Canada at least, the highline and other models have fog lights, but the GLI where the red accents are located theres no foglights. The dealer guy said that its built in the low beams.

    Can I use any 0w-20 full synthetic or has to be a specific one ?

    • @FF54Vic
      @FF54Vic  Рік тому +2

      Yeah you can use 0w-20 full synthetic they say it’s a 10,000 mile oil. I just had a hard time believing that you can let the oil go that long. So I change ours every 5,000 miles

    What’s the whole debate between 5w30 and 0w20 with this whole budack cycle thing

    • @FF54Vic
      @FF54Vic  Рік тому

      The new Jetta take a 0w20 oil it’s supposed to last 10,000 miles. Which is fine the oil might still be good for that amount of miles. But the oil filter normally starts getting pretty dirty around 5000 miles. So I changed the oil in our VW around 5000 miles. Because having a knowledge about about cars to an extent it just doesn’t sit right with me to change it at 10,000 miles.

      @@anthony1310 that’s correct it’s supposed to be a 10,000 mile oil but I changed mine every 5000 at the most. I know oil doesn’t brake down and you could change the filter at 5000. But 10,000 just didn’t sit right with me though. Hope this helps

    You're doing way too much work. Use an oil extractor like the VW mechanics do. You'll never need to get under that car again.

      I literally mentioned to my body tech the other day about using that technique and he said he has never even heard about doing an oil change that way. I doubt VW recommends the oil change be done that way. Cars like BMW and Mercedes require oil changes to be done that way.
      Even on brand new Mini coopers, they don’t use an oil suction tool, they lift the car and pull the plug.

  • @peterwong4667
    @peterwong4667 Рік тому +1

    Don't follow his direction with the screw driver. You will break the oil plug and will not be able to put it back ! Order a special tool for this job and a few drain plugs before you attempt this. I followed his direction with the screw driver and I regret it now.

    • @FF54Vic
      @FF54Vic  Рік тому

      I would have to disagree if you are using the proper size on you should be fine. I have multiple oil changed on that style oil plug and have had any issue. So it might have been an issue with the plug and not the screw driver because they use the same way at the dealer. That was also verified with a tech at a VW dealer.

      I used a flathead screwdriver on the plug when I did an oil change on my Tiguan. It worked, but I still had a new plug on hand because one slight miscalculation and you can crack these plastic plugs. I used the new plug anyway to have peace of mind.
