Easy accept. Could have a hidden tip on it too. Passes the 2 big tests $/time and $/mile, if it moves me out of a Doordash zone I would try to start a dash in the new zone so I would have all 3 apps running after the delivery and hopefully cut down any dead miles. These types of orders show the importance of learning the other zones in your market so you can accept offers like this and not miss a beat if it takes you to another zone.

Usually goin to the restaurant is like an easy 4.5 miles then the 9 is going to the house. And usually it sometimes takes you back the way you need to go and even so accept orders when you go that way. I had a 12 that took me 6 miles to the restaurant and like 3 streets over from my house. I was so happy. I love driving for Uber Eats.

Here’s what would go in my mind in this order:
1.) Are these highway miles? If yes then I’d gauge if there was no traffic there and back, that would check one box
2.) Is it a slow day? If the answer is yes, that would check another box
3.) Is it possible when picking up this order that Uber would stack it with another order for $5 in the same direction which would give you the gas money … that would be another check
4.) Is it possible to pick up another order on the way back? That would be another check
5.) Is there something that you could do there ( cheap gas, shopping, grocery, specialty store, meet a friend, etc. ) … That would also be a check
    4/5 - hard yes
    3/5 - soft yes
2/5 - yes but only if point 1 is yes and either point 2 or point 3 is yes.

I did one last night that was $21 for a package delivery from Glendale Az to Gilbert Az about 30 minutes. My tip was $16.00. Depends, will it take you way out of the way of any busy areas? You will be hard pressed to find a way to get a delivery or deliveries getting you back to your zone. You’ll more than likely have to drive 14 empty miles (30 minutes back)

I take into account that I would have to travel back to my initial zone after completing this order so making this a nearly 30 mile long trip. To counter that if I’m door-dashing, I select my start area where I received the order and select the option to dash along that way. This way I’m making money while reaching closer and closer back to my area.

Takin it..after becoming an Owner Op CDL trucker under my Own MC Authority- we are getting less than .49 per mile plus all the over head by the time we book a load. If you all applied a logistics mindset to this app game- you'd make more bank. Miles are miles at the end of the day & you all are still motor carriers in that you are transporting "freight" regardless of being called "couriers" instead of "carriers".. respect 💯

I live in Wilmington lol. Depending on time of day and how long cracker barrel takes, that's a 45min-1hr long deliver with the return trip (because you're unlikely to get another delivery until you get back into town). I spend around 18-20 cents/mile on gas so that's around $6 on gas, though they're mostly highway miles so should be a bit lower. Call it a $25 delivery in an hour (plus the likelyhood of them tipping more on top because people that tip high initially tend to increase it afterwards) and matching my goal of at least $1 per mile (earned not profited) that I put on my car throughout the entire shift. I'd be taking this 98% of the time. It'd have to be super busy and profitable for me not to take this order and even then...I'd still probably take it.

Accept ! The distance back will be good to get your avarage mpg up by not having short distance stop and go city traffic utilizing less fuel overall inthe long haul at least in my vehicle that is what I have discovered so once in a while it’s okay to take a good order that will take you out of the zone for 30 minutes bc it helps keep my milage up from dropping down to 15 in the city congestion I get about 28/33 highway and only 13/15 city so if I’m careful and plan correctly by throwing some occasional orders like this into my acceptance mix I end up tooling around the city at a solid 22-26 mpg depending on AC usage light cycles speed limits stop and go demands en route ect all factor what my avarage mpg is when I fill up. I can usually spend 10-20 dollars day on fuel and go home with 100 dollars profit pretty frequently and easily
