I'm pretty sure one of the reasons you get to camp late is that you stop to set up those "driving by" shots...or "driving over"....we appreciate it and keep up the great work!!!!
Off to a great start, great quality. Hoping we get a bit of a walk around of each set up thru out the series as you guys are always improving them from the previous trips. Also an interview of your assistant would be good to hear about her back ground and her role going forward would be of interest. Best of luck to her and hope it works out for all.
part 1 of 9 are you for real ??? how awesome is that... 8 more 30 minute shows to come! Ronny you're a straight shooter fkn love these v8 landcruisers mate saving for a troopcarrier new one
Ronny could you do a interview with the assistant that is traveling with you so the viewers find out about more about her, cant wait for the next part!
The video footage is very realistic, making you feel like you’re there and the night drone footage was surreal. Excellent work, as usual , welcome Mahalia.
Been watching Ronny present his UA-cam videos since his early beginnings, and wow they've become worthy TV with some great photography They're fantastic, has the right balance of detail and tech talk, not trying to show off just telling it how it is for the everyday family and all with a bit of fun mixed in... Well done
Mate glad you show the problems you have with gear ie. Leaking water tank on the trailer...so not only are we more likely to take your reviews seriously but also when you never see things going wrong...and then you head bush and experience a breakdown you can think "why me". But as you show...you can prepare well..have the best gear and do everything right and stuff still breaks...it is the nature of the trips we do here in Australia....big big miles on corrugations takes a toll! So thanks Ronnie!
Looks like a great start to the series, thanks Ronny. Appreciate the disclosure of the water tank on the X1. It reinforces your motive and integrity in providing an unbiased review and I have no doubt Patriot will take your findings on board which with their commitment to quality, will result in a better product for us, the consumer. These real world experiences are entertaining and essential, cheers.
Love the video - can't wait for the rest of the episodes. And yes I also appreciate a stronger female presence. One reason I love your channel - it's more about the subject and less about the all boy club. That and the quality is superb!
Hey Ronnie, get yourself some JB Weld In the emergency box, and also some of the aquatic JB Weld. It cures underwater and in wet conditions. Perfect for water tanks, kayaks, even the swimming pool at home! Personally, I don’t leave home without them both.
Look don't take this the wrong way, but I am glad to see some humor and a little comedy coming out in your videos. When I watch your old videos, you are always so serious. It all started when you pushed that guy in the hole he was digging while testing the sand anchors.
Great Vid Ronny, I did a similar trip last year. We headed West from Coober Pedy as far as the Connie Sue, then headed south to Rawlinna. It was Friggin awesome....loved it. Didn't see a sole for eight days.....with some fantastic bush camping.....what a trip.
Ronny, honesty is always appreciated. It’s amazing rocks up under the car don’t cause more problems. A tip for you my friend. Please stop pulling the breaker bar towards your face when tightening your u bolts lol that’s going to smack you in the face one day. Come around in front of that wheel and push it away from you. Hate to see it slip or the bolt breaks.
Great adventure, can't wait for the rest of it. Trivia time, The saying 'flat out like a lizard drinking' comes from lizards like the thorny devil that lie in small pools of water to absorb water.
Great stuff as I watch this for the second time. Personally I love the info on the tank, it is a shame, but seeing an in the field fix is great for us who don't get out often and may not know what to do. Interestingly, following the Patriot guys, I did note Justin saying that they were moving to poly tanks. It caught my attention enough that I remember it. Now I wonder if he will comment on that being a good or bad decision. That is one thing that Drifta continually does. He breaks it and fiddles with it and comes up with something better and is not afraid to talk about it.
This has upped the game, excellent video. For me, I would like a bit more info on the type of country and it’s wildlife and a bit less cooking. Thanks again for the video.
There's hardly any difference in weight between 304 stainless and poly tanks. I have stainless jerry cans I use for water and they're the same weight as a high quality plastic one.
304 is the most common stainless composition used for surgical and food. It provides a great mix of strength, corrosion resistance, and affordability. 316 is even more corrosive resistant however is more expensive and commonly used in applications where that feature is needed; such as laboratories working with corrosive materials or containers carrying corrosive materials. The cost difference for consumer products does not usually justify the use of something like 316. In the case of an Australian company making trailers that would be primarily used around the beach and salty areas, they may however wish to spend extra and use 316 since it is much more resistant to chlorides.
Top stuff Ronny, As I said at the Perth 4WD show I'm usually either in front of you or behind you. The Anne Beadell's been on my bucket list for quite a while now but this time I'll be way behind as my next trips to Darwin, Kakadu, then through the red centre and down Googs Track. Ah well isn't that what bucket lists are for. Keep em coming Regards from bigezi
Hey Ronny! Great trip video as always. I did notice at around 7.48 when you started up the big girl it sounded like she had a bit of an injector knock or something. Hope everything is all good!
That was an awesome episode as they all are But I think with the extra help with the camera and the trip it’s self was amazing Not too sure if the camera girl (forgot her name haha) is going to be part of the team or not but if she is I think when she is in the cab of the cars to ask more questions such as New mods on the car If they have Came out to this trip before Favourite trips How they are finding the trip Etc Obviously once she does it more and more she will be more comfortable asking questions Keep up the good work 👍👌👍
Hugh Smitham I think if the future videos/ trips continue the way I see this going this channel will boom like crazy with just be more comfortable with asking questions everyone will be more comfortable asking and answering questions as now they are better than the start of the channel but it will become second nature to them to speak on camera Can’t wait
Hi Ronny, I carry quik metal epoxy putty, which will seal up most cracks. A mates main battery bracket broke and the end of the crank battery came in contact with one of the belt pullies , rubbed through and was leaking acid. he used the putty and it got him out of trouble
Milsec it's the exact same thing as you paying for a park pass to Yellowstone to drive around in it. Except they do it before hand since it's 2 days drive away with no ranger on duty in the outback.
Hi guys, it's actually a permit to travel through indigenous land in Central Australia (native title), and because they're likely travelling through 4 different titles, 4 different permits. I guess, similarly if you were to go into native lands (Indian reservation) in the US you'd need permission from the land owners to travel through.
+Ronny Dahl have you been out over landing with Andrew White and his rig? Love these videos... makes me wanna convert my Ram 1500 into an overland rig.
Great vid Ronny Better than anything on TV
Ray Bush .
You obviously haven’t watched ladies beach volleyball then! Lol.
im watching this on tv and its nice on a big screen. better then a computer
Ha Ha I actually got to watch that last summer down at Manly Beach
Here in the states, could not agree more! On both points😁
The “Assistant “ is a great addition. Nice to see the other drivers as you are moving along.
I'm pretty sure one of the reasons you get to camp late is that you stop to set up those "driving by" shots...or "driving over"....we appreciate it and keep up the great work!!!!
Love the work from your assistant, really adds to the story.
liked it before it even started lol, time to sit back and watch ronny and the crew
I can't believe this is the part 1 ... of 9 ! Thanks for sharing everything with us Ronny !
Amazing nighttime drone shots , also we appreciate you never make the trip about yourself. Thanks.
I waited till all the 9 parts were uploaded. Now I can watch whole trip story in one sitting. Great trip and video as always.
Off to a great start, great quality. Hoping we get a bit of a walk around of each set up thru out the series as you guys are always improving them from the previous trips. Also an interview of your assistant would be good to hear about her back ground and her role going forward would be of interest. Best of luck to her and hope it works out for all.
THE BEST 4X4 PROGRAM -REAL PEOPLE REAL FUN
part 1 of 9 are you for real ??? how awesome is that... 8 more 30 minute shows to come! Ronny you're a straight shooter fkn love these v8 landcruisers mate saving for a troopcarrier new one
Glad to see another Vid from you and the crew, great to see that you're starting to introduce the people that are behind the scenes too.
Ronny could you do a interview with the assistant that is traveling with you so the viewers find out about more about her, cant wait for the next part!
ugh why? not interested at all
yeah you want to "find out more about her" yeah nah i catch ya drift
Ronny, great vids again. Loved the night shots at the 19min mark. Looks like the beginning of another epic trip
The video footage is very realistic, making you feel like you’re there and the night drone footage was surreal. Excellent work, as usual , welcome Mahalia.
Best trip series you’ve got mate! Re-watched all 9 parts about 3 times. This one just ticks all the boxes!!
Been watching Ronny present his UA-cam videos since his early beginnings, and wow they've become worthy TV with some great photography They're fantastic, has the right balance of detail and tech talk, not trying to show off just telling it how it is for the everyday family and all with a bit of fun mixed in... Well done
New level Ronny ... really pushing the boundary of You Tube vs TV/Film grade! Can't wait for the next installment!
Mate glad you show the problems you have with gear ie. Leaking water tank on the trailer...so not only are we more likely to take your reviews seriously but also when you never see things going wrong...and then you head bush and experience a breakdown you can think "why me". Its great you guys having Amalia, we get to see more from you all! Great trip looking forward to more.
wow the quality of this episode is astonishing!
I normally hate youtube intros but god dam yours is the best man
Looks like a great start to the series, thanks Ronny. Appreciate the disclosure of the water tank on the X1. It reinforces your motive and integrity in providing an unbiased review and I have no doubt Patriot will take your findings on board which with their commitment to quality, will result in a better product for us, the consumer. I like the person helping out. I like the idea of getting different views and peoples thoughts a long the way.
Love the video - can't wait for the rest of the episodes. And yes I also appreciate a stronger female presence. One reason I love your channel - it's more about the subject and less about the all boy club. That and the quality is superb!

Another beginning to another awesome trip. Great footage Ronnie, cant wait for the rest of the series!

Great episode Ronny, looking forward to the next 8.
Love the night Drone footage around the 20 min mark.
Should be selling this to Netflix or something 👌🏽
MADBONE why would he do that?
He got popular through loyal UA-cam followers! Turning his back on them would be a terrible thing to do.
true .. i guess youtube is just getting way better content these days =D lucky us
Great video, and that intro picture of that plane, awesome! :D
Great adventure, can't wait for the rest of it. Trivia time, The saying 'flat out like a lizard drinking' comes from lizards like the thorny devil that lie in small pools of water to absorb water.

Thats some dope footage man. About the trailer any equipment can fail so its understandable. Don't worry keep up the good work.
Great night drone scenes. Good idea.
Brilliant video mate. Absolutely loved the into
Stunning video
Thanks Ronny this is awesome I normally can't wait for sundays so I can whatch another awesome video
Brilliant, can't wait for the next installment.

Another awesome show keep up the good work. lol at Wayne at end lol.
Good stuff! Looking forward to this series' episodes :)
Really enjoyed this one mate, cheers!
Awesome production it just keeps getting better, great job.
Shame about the water tank. I guess one of those things. I appreciate your warts and all reviews.
I wonder what was the comment of the Patriot guys regarding this issue ?
Rhi McKeon They should have done a stainless tank. Water tastes like shit when it’s kept in plastic out in the heat.
There's hardly any difference in weight between 304 stainless and poly tanks. I have stainless jerry cans I use for water and they're the same weight as a high quality plastic one.
Secret ! i've never heard of food grade 304 stainless.. if you are dealing with food or drinking water, food grade 316 stainless is the way to go..
304 is the most common stainless composition used for surgical and food. It provides a great mix of strength, corrosion resistance, and affordability. 316 is even more corrosive resistant however is more expensive and commonly used in applications where that feature is needed; such as laboratories working with corrosive materials or containers carrying corrosive materials. i like off road verymuch.
Sweet Vid ,Really miss camping now....
You got an assistant! Cool!
Exceptional clip. Professional camera work. Damn I envy you guys . Wish I could find the time to do this.
great shots at 19:20 mark! Right on!
That last time lapse was fantastic
Thanks Ronny, up to your usual standard, well done.
Glad theres no jeep to slow you down on this adventure 🤣

Great night shots.
Hey Ronny! Great trip video as always.

Awesome video yet again. Will be a great series this one.
Awesome, Ronny, thank you!
be awesome to see a vid on permits etc in WA. Why, how and when... cheers.
Awesome videos, I was curious as to what make your tire deflator is?
Pumped that PDP is in the house on this trip.
That was an awesome episode as they all are
But I think with the extra help with the camera and the trip it’s self was amazing
Not too sure if the camera girl (forgot her name haha) is going to be part of the team or not but if she is I think when she is in the cab of the cars to ask more questions such as
New mods on the car
If they have Came out to this trip before
Favourite trips
How they are finding the trip
Etc
Obviously once she does it more and more she will be more comfortable asking questions
Keep up the good work
👍👌👍
Hugh Smitham thanks mate 👍

Hey Ronny! Love you videos mate! Just curious on what drone that you use for you footage? Also the camera if you use a separate camera?
Thanks Mate!
Good stuff. Looking forward to more.
Hello from American, just wanted to say great video. Can you explain the permit to travel.
Milsec it's the exact same thing as you paying for a park pass to Yellowstone to drive around in it. Except they do it before hand since it's 2 days drive away with no ranger on duty in the outback.

Dan that’s it. Load of crap I recon I refuse to pay them
Ronny did you change out the camera on the drone? The definition is fantastic!
79 Series gang!
Spot On Ronny
Looking forward to see more videos
+Ronny Dahl have you been out over landing with Andrew White and his rig? Love these videos... makes me wanna convert my Ram 1500 into an overland rig.
