True. I agree with you on that point. I've lived most of my life in India, worked at TATA MOTORS for 20 years. As a kid, I was inspired by the West in terms of discipline, road rules, infrastructure and respect for other humans irrespective of their status, faith, status, money, etc. I had a chance to migrate at 21 but hesitated due to personal reasons. I tried educating people on the roads, at work, and other places about traffic discipline, moral behaviour, respecting people who help us- but sadly, not many friends/strangers appreciate the message you're trying to convey. Road rage is a big issue alongwith corruption, pollution, population, etc. Talking about the so called rich and powerful- what can you expect from uneducated people who are voted as ministers. We can see the fruit of their work. If you raise a voice against these criminals- we all know what happens next. I live in Western Australia and you can question the authorities in a polite manner- you don't need to get scared of your life. You could be walking next to a millionaire. Even MLA's, MLC's and people in power don't expect you to address them as SIR/MADAM. We either call them by their name or use the word,"mate," Our Ministers don't hold traffic during their visits, they just move around quietly without any dramas. No band baja, flex boards, etc. Their wrongdoings are printed on the first page. We need to make our Country great again. God bless my Motherland. Jai Hind.
