Deregulating the banks lead to the financial crash and 10 years of austerity. Deregulating building standards lead to Grenfell. The government would be wise to address the £2 billion of tax revenues lost every day through UK controlled overseas tax havens. We are paying the highest taxes for 80 years while the Government has halved public spending, so where is all that extra money going?
Governments sucking-up to big business is always bad for the average person. Its time to fund our political parties through taxation and then banning ALL political donations and freebies. Finally, how can Britain "grow it's economy" when we don't have enough people to fill the current jobs?

Do politicians represent voters or their donors?

Can you get Professor Mark Blythe on the show to talk about the austerity delusion? As he would be good to talk to about the upcoming US election.

But then why did Starmer and Reynolds not try to block Haig from going to Dover to present the employment bill if they were so careful about not irritating DP World? Either they are clueless, or their messaging is reckless or this is a bit of a show they put on (the telling off of Haig). The latter one is probably the least damaging of the options.
But announcing the employment rights bill in Dover had only one purpose, to remind people of P&O Ferries to get people angry against the Tory labour policy.
