With this paintjob Emelda Braskov has big Brienne of Tarth energy. She was the Blue in Renly's Rainbow Guard too, and wore blue armour at the tourney at Bitterbridge!!
If I ever get my hands on this box set I'm definitely painting that vampire hunter in green, we finally get to find out what Snufkin does when he leaves Moominvalley...
You've probably heard this before, but you really are the Bob Ross of miniature painting! It's a pleasure watching, and listening to your narration as you paint!
I'd love to see you report the story of one of your "outings" in this game! You've such a positive, and unique take on life that's so refreshing, I think (not necessarily a "Battle-Report") a playthrough, with your narrative tone, would be interesting!
Completely new to this community! While I’m not a hobby painter, I thoroughly enjoy your content. Great narration, editing, and of course PAINTING! Thank you and keep up the good work!
They came out awesome, and the blue armor inspired a paint scheme for me. Also the owlbear fur is what I needed to see to confirm my Chaos Warriors fur.
Thank you for these videos Brent. As a gal who is dealing with some depression recently life isn’t always the best, but watching your videos always makes my day a whole lot better and always inspires me to paint some more models so I can finally finish my 40k marines. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! (Also I love your cats)
Man, what cool models. Love your paint job on these two. I can’t wait to see what ya paint next from the box. That vampire hanging from a pillar looks like he could be a strong contender if you ask me.
Loved the sheer look of joy as you opened this box. I had the same grin. Seeing the painted minis on the side of the box took me back to an 11-yr old me opening a 2nd hand Space Crusade which is what got me into this hobby originally. Great video which shows that's it's OK to not emulate studio colour schemes and go with what you like. Really looking forward to further Cursed City content.
These look beautiful. And I love both your approach to their paint schemes and your calming voice. BTW: I love using brush-on varnish to fill gaps. Just layer it on before priming until the surface is smooth, then prime.
For the guy with the huge seams, it might have helped to glue him together with sprue goo. Works like a charm for gaps as those. Great vid once again. Love both paintjobs you've shown here!
Brent, remember that characters for board games usually have colours associated with them! So the Vamp Hunter will be brown/yellow and the Paladin blue, from there the rest should have different base colours! Amazing job as always!
This is one of the coolest boxes GW have put out in a long time! Awesome work as always, my friend! That blue armour surprised me, but it ended up working well!
Excellent video Brent! I am so getting the Cursed City box after seeing you paint those mini's up. I hope you get to play the game, it really is fun with a few friends. I loved the good amount of cat screen time in this video. Keep it up!
Such a shame that GW took this off the shelves after they sold out of the first run and now they're just selling a few models at a time...at increased cost, of course. Great video, as always! Love watching the Bob Ross of mini painting 🎨
Great painting video Brent! I've been painting some D&D minis and would love to get my hand on models from Warhammer to paint. I love their design, and you brought them to life in such a great way! Awesome video, I'm excited and hoping you paint the rest of this box set for video! :D
Very nice, I especially like the paint job on that vampire hunter. A lot of leather, but it looks great. I recently watched a video from Tabletop Minions where he talked about not painting eyes, and this video helped enforce it. Much like your comment about the highlighting being kind of chunky up close -from the camera distance (and from a distance it would be at whilst playing) you can't tell at all. The highlights look great from a slight (normal) distance. I also can't really see the eyes you painted except for in the final close ups. I am definitely planning on taking the approach of not bothering to paint eyes and instead just putting a little wash in there to make a shadow. As he says, you can't see someone's eyes (or the white and pupil of them anyway) from across the street in real life either. Also, I vote you paint the half skeleton guy with a halberd next, he looks awesome.
That skeleton is great! Uncle atom started painting the skeletons, I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out! And yeah, these would've looked just fine without painting the eyes, but I figured I'd get the practice in :-)
Goobs I am so glad that there's someone else out there who would rather burn a mini to the ground that suffer a tiny flaw nobody else would see unless you pointed it out. Because you know it's there and it's intolerable. Go you :)
Those models look really crisp, lot's of details to paint. I bought the Dark Souls board game, you get 27 minis for under a 100 bucks with some huge bosses. That's my painting schedule all booked up.
My dnd group seemed pretty interested when I showed them a couple of the Cursed City models. I am a pretty slow painter however, so we might just play Cursed City in a few months. I won't rush these beautiful models though
It's amazing how the heroes EASILY represent a D&D party. One of the first that hands down could easily be dropped in as PCs. Funny enough they would fit right in to Ravenloft which is dropping in, what, a month? I swear Gee-Dubs and WoTC are in cahoots... lol
Man I'm so psyched for this game, I missed the first run, but I'll be keeping my eye out for the second! Really channelling the Mordheim vibes with this one, which is only a good thing!
Incredible color choices on those heroes. I hope they keep producing these after the initial run, didn't get a pre-order in and I'd love to get it even just to start a Soulblight Gravelords army... to mix things up from all of my Dwarfs.
I really loved the alternate colour scheme that you chose for Emelda. Much more imaginative than the standard polished steel
aww yeah! thanks Pete :-)
I’ll play Cursed City with you Brent. We’ll make it happen.
With this paintjob Emelda Braskov has big Brienne of Tarth energy. She was the Blue in Renly's Rainbow Guard too, and wore blue armour at the tourney at Bitterbridge!!
yupyup! :-)
Nerds!
If UA-cam were a public park, then Goobertown would be the little garden where nerds are allowed to roam freely.. that is what I like to imagine :-)
“It vexes me - I am terribly vexed” - words from Shakespeare’s oft quoted miniature painting tragedy. 👍🏻
From the shakespeare classic "gladiator" :-)
@@GoobertownHobbies - Maximus had some great minis - maybe Commodus should have taken up mini painting to moderate his wacko-ness 🤔🤪
If I ever get my hands on this box set I'm definitely painting that vampire hunter in green, we finally get to find out what Snufkin does when he leaves Moominvalley...
I've already watched this 3 times, i love your positive vibes Goober! It's my favorite background noise, while i paint.
hehehe, happy to help, keep on paintin! :-)
Brent has one of the most friendly smiles I’ve ever seen
He is a few millimeter away from a joker grin imho.
I dunno I find it kinda scary tbh.
Every time I watch your videos I am always happy and you were one of the reasons I got into mini painting thank you

Edge High-lighting + Friendly Cat = Extra Fun!
Your paint jobs have gotten so crispy over the years. Truly an inspiration for those of us who have trouble staying in the lines.
we're all gettin there :-)
That red-brown and turquoise is awesome. Such a great color combo.
I can always tell a goobertown paint job. Always vibrant and pastelle like. Very unique style.
Very cool to see your take on the gang. and thanks for the advice about assembly....that is always the toughest step.
‘I am terribly vexed.’ Possibly my fave statement from any UA-cam video ever :)
Completely new to this community! While I’m not a hobby painter, I thoroughly enjoy your content. Great narration, editing, and of course PAINTING!
Thank you and keep up the good work!
"Bats, Rats" and in Brent's box, one limited special edition feisty cat...
“They look okaayy” Goobertown 2021, words to live by.
I love how relaxing these videos are to watch.

And the sky is blue
Awsome video, thank you!
Really like those minis. Great job painting them. They came out very nicely. Thanks!

I love it when Gordon appears to ensure the job is progressing to his standards! 🙂
right? :-)
Fantastic look to those minis.
I love how you even show your "mistakes". Keep up the good work!
Those models look so good !! I love a brighter scheme to the dark esthetic of warhammer !!
Goobertown Hobbies, your #1 station for vexation.
This was exactly the chill video I needed after a long day.
have a great evening!
A Goobertown video dropping on my birthday? What a gift.
happy birthday! :-)
Thanks, Brent! Keep up the good work my man :)
I love your highlighting and layering style Brent, makes it seem a lot more user-friendly than the classic edge highlighting of just about everything
Man, what cool models. Love your paint job on these two. I can’t wait to see what ya paint next from the box. That vampire hanging from a pillar looks like he could be a strong contender if you ask me.
oh yeah, that one is great!! :-)
I love you videos. They make me overcome my fear of failure and motivate me to paint more. Thanks.
Your videos are so pleasing. I’m just getting into painting minis and your page is my go to
Love your color choices, they turned out fantastic! Can’t wait to see the rest of them painted.
Fantastic work. Those look great. Can't wait to see what you do with the rest!
I'm always amazed that you can paint well with your hand all crunched up, but you do.
That Commodus reference. Magnificent.
Well done! Your base coats are super clean.
Those models are seriously sweet, good job too 👍
I'm loving that turquoise armour!

Terrific minis and painting!!
After the miniac video I have to ask for me, my boys and my gf: When will there be the Goobertown calendar?
Yep a Goobertown calendar would be a winner
I'd buy that for a dollar!
You know we all did a double-take when we saw it. I'm just happy I'm not the only barrel chested guy I know now!
Where do I put my pre order in for this calendar?
I got kinda supprices, he was build like a rugby player.
I really like the range of different brown's on Jelsen Derrick's mini. Makes it apart from the usual colour combinations. Great video as usual.
Lovely stuff as always! I wasn’t planning on picking up this set but I’m definitely more tempted now having watched your video.
good luck with your deliberations! :-)
These look beautiful. And I love both your approach to their paint schemes and your calming voice.
BTW: I love using brush-on varnish to fill gaps. Just layer it on before priming until the surface is smooth, then prime.
I will likely never get this box, but I always enjoy Brent's videos. I particularly like the way the fur on the collar turned out.
For the guy with the huge seams, it might have helped to glue him together with sprue goo. Works like a charm for gaps as those.
Great vid once again. Love both paintjobs you've shown here!
Great video. Loved how you got brave for a freehand. You continue to improve, entertain, and grow. Bravo
Those look awesome! Thx for explaining/telling what you were doing and thinking.
That leather coat is amazing!!!
Me and my roomate just bought our first boxes and we're studying up before we paint! Love the tips 👍
oh nice, have fun you two! :-)
That blue is bloody wonderful I might have to try that.
I'm just glad the last "box review" didnt put GW off sending you stuff! hahaha
Lovely paint job and you looked so happy opening the box :)
8:34 I just realized why Iike the armour so much!
SHE LOOKS LIKE SHOVEL KNIGHT
woo!!! :-)
I would love if you did a paint-along video where you paint in real time, so I can paint along with you. Really like your videos.
Always love your videos. Thanks for showing off your painting skills and taking the time to make these!
I love the teal! Feeling really inspired. If only I could buy this fancy new game
They look awesome!!!!! It would be great to have a series on all those cool minis, they all look incredible
I love popping out the tokens at the end lol
oh yeah, that's the best part! :-)

Love the channel brent! Keep up the amazing work. Paint bravely, good sir!
Amazing! Great colours used nice freehand work too Brent. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to pick up my box. Oh cat hair....
Brent you inspire me to do better every time I watch a video. Much love :)

Once again, you make me realize I need to paint something in blue! Emelda looks wonderful!
I really love your vibrant colour choices!
hey Brent, you just motivated me to paint these models right now! Many thanks for that and for all the great videos!

Real nice work on the two you painted
Today episode is brought to you by the word "vex"
Awesome job, love the feathers on the birb
Brent, you're such a nerd opening that box. Never ever change you very happy man.
Thanks for another great video. The models turned out great.
As usual you've inspired me to try brighter colors. The next time I paint some armor I'm going to try a bright color scheme. Awesome job!
Glad u got a good box instead of the last one they sent u 😂🐶
Let’s get a new box review. Love painting, but that masterful box review was top notch.
Really great paint job 👍 loved watching this.
Great video! Love the turquoise armour, such a different way to take it!
that teal looks really nice
Haven't been keeping up with the news as of late but this set looks exciting and your painting is giving me some nice ideas.
Well done, as always!
This is the stuff I really like m.
