Hi! This is one of the best videos I have seen today! Keep uploading such splendid videos. I look forward to more of your videos my friend. Have a wonderful day! Stay Connected 😊
As a new GeoPro owner, your videos have helped me so much. If you ever pack your bearings, I’d really appreciate watching you do that. Thank you again for the great videos! Cheers
Thank you! So glad you have found them helpful! We have done the wheel bearings once about 10,000 miles ago so it is time again. This year - we do plan on filming it to make a video. Thank you for watching - truly appreciate!
Thank you for this video. I’ve been trying to get a good view of the shade retaining clips for removing one of our shades and your video covered that nicely. I was looking but trying to do it without removing the valance.
Regarding the bar, where you fold the shade, place a piece of string or cord along the fold before sliding the bar in place. The string/cord will expand the fold inside the groove of the pull down bar. Thickness of the string/cord will be determined by the groove opening in the pull down. FYI is a bit late maybe and may have been mentioned earlier, but better late then never. Thank you for your video, informative, well done and fun to watch . Be well and happy camping.
Hi! Thanks for the tip! We actually have one that the bar came off as we returned home on our last trip and have yet to put it back on. Definitely going to try this! Thanks for watching!
Great video! I have found so much help from your videos. Sharing the different information on your Geo Pro and responding to us subscribers is absolutely helpful and a great resource! Thank you!
Thank you! Appreciate the watch! We are doing well - hoping to get back on the road here shortly. Hope you guys are well and planning some fun trips also!
@@WinesPinesandCanines I have so many questions about it! The dealer told me over and over again I could contact them with any questions. They rarely answer their phone however, they are stupid busy! My business partner has worked with them for decades so he cautioned me they might be super busy trying to help everyone. Particularly with COVID waning and spring coming. It is parked safely next to the house, on its new pad, so I can go tinker with it. My husband kept asking when we can go sleep in it. He seems more excited than me. I am trying to plan a trip in the second week of August.
Ha! I get that - ours is in a storage unit so when we first got the camper, we would find ourselves getting take out and heading up to eat and watch tv in it lol. I think if the storage lot allowed it we would have slept there haha! Can't wait to hear the details on the trip and how it goes! We haven't been out in it since the trip out west but the planning has begun for late spring and summer. Let us know how everything goes and if you have any questions feel free to email or reach out here. Will help if we can!
The silicone on the bracket can cause the paper to pull away with if the bracket come loose again. The previous owner of my RV put the quick release Velcro tabs below the windows to hold the blind tight when down and now the paper has pulled out and bubbled where the Velcro was.
Can definitely see how that velcro would do - would not want to pull on the wallpaper for sure. We haven't had any issues with using silicone on the brackets yet but will keep an eye out. We also use it on the back of the brackets when we hang baskets... Been a few years now so hopefully no issues pop up! Thanks for watching!
Great DIY; appreciate the demo. And Have these shades on our Grand Design Imagine. And love them . They are a much better shade then the according shade. Which could not wait the get rid of when we switched TT's.
@@WinesPinesandCanines Good morning, yes we have been out on 5 weekend trips since we got the Geo, we are going camping next weekend as well. The only big trip we have planned is Utah the end of July. There will definitely be lots of local weekend trips for sure so be on the lookout for those😄
Will definitely keep a watch out! We love to see other UA-camrs travels to get ideas. Every trip we have taken has been influenced by watching others on UA-cam!
Great video, good to know how to adjust these shades. Our next trailer will have these in them . Hopefully the bottom of the shade doesn’t come off too often.
Hi - thanks for watching! We have gotten used to making sure we don't pull directly on the bar but just above it! It luckily doesn't take more than a minute to fix if we forget and it happens lol. Hoping everything goes smoothly with the next camper!
Another great video! I haven't had that particular problem yet, but it's probably just a matter of time. Now I know what to do when it happens! It finally got above freezing overnight here, so I've been working on the water system on mine. I'm finally going to take my first trip of the season later this week down to White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains NP. Looking forward to testing out my new-and-improved boondocking capabilities before I head to Arizona and Utah in May.
Evening Jeffrey! Thank you!! So - we are very jealous at that is an area we have not yet visited yet and it looks amazing. Will be very interested in hearing how it goes - especially the upgraded inverter. And do you know where you will be staying in Utah yet? We could spend months out there and not see everything there is to see!
@@WinesPinesandCanines I'm planning on spending 4 nights at Mather on the South Rim, then going up to Jacob Lake for the next 4 nights, and then Kanab for 4 more. This coming week, I'm going to Holloman Lake for a couple of nights, which is a BLM area between Holloman AFB and White Sands. Then I'm going down to Sunset Reef Campground near Carlsbad Caverns for a few nights. It's also close to Guadalupe Mountains NP.
@@jeffreygunn3530 Loved Mather. We spent a week there last fall. Still have to finalize that video. Great campground. And Jacob Lake area was very nice as well. Great boondocking opportunities in Kanab. Hopefully going into Grand Staircase at some point? Looking forward to hearing how this weeks trip goes - safe travels and happy camping out there!
I'd be interested to see your thoughts on dealing with condensation during cool evenings on the front window. The gap between the interior frame and the glazing let's condensed water get between the wall and the frame.
Hi! Thanks for watching! So yes - that window does get a little wet at times. We have in the past left a window (usually the kitchen) open a small bit and left the fan on low per some recommendations we read online. Seemed to help the second night. That area is a huge void space - contemplating doing some insulating / modification there. Just need to get it on the todo list lol.
Thanks for the tips. I’ve a GeoPro too have problems with valances coming loose. Suggestion, could you do a video on how you’ve hung items on the walls. Also, could you share your itinerary for your western trip? Planning similitude trip this summer. THANKS!
Hi - thank you for watching! Will put that on the list - we have used a variety of methods so that is a great suggestion for another of these quick videos. For the western trip - we took I-40 the entire way except for a quick change to hit Route 66 just outside Oklahoma City. We did a video called NC to Utah and in it we talk about the route, our stopovers, and some interesting things to see along the way. The one thing we did on the way back that isn’t in the video is Petrified Forest National Park. We will have a video out on it but that was definitely a sleeper hit! We only had 3 hours and really should have planned a day. Loved the uniqueness of the park! Hope that helps but if you have specific questions please reach out or you can send us an email!
My pet peeve about the blind on the emergency window, is that the window levers make the blind unable to go down all the way. You can go past it with the the bottom of it(the first part of your video), but then it could puncture the fabric or flop around. Thoughts.
Yes - going to have to agree on that one. The bar holds it up some and sits on top of it or you have to pull it over it. At night, we do pull it down some as doesn't get moved around but when we travel, we have the blinds up so they don't bang around. The emergency window, while necessary, isn't the most user friendly for operating the window and the blind. We have a pool noodle (cut to about 6") on the other "bedroom" window so the shade will sit off the window when we have it open to increase air flow. We talked about it in the "To do list - Done!" video we did. That may help as the pool noodle goes up onto the shade a little so it wouldn't hit the emergency latch.
Good reason not to use glue. We can sure see that happening like you. That was an easy fix for both. Taking the valance down probably helped being able to get to the blings easier. Good tips. Especially if they are that easy.
Yes, we have purchased land in NY. The closing date has tentatively been set for April 14th, but we hope it takes longer cause we still have things to wrap up here in Texas. I don’t even think we are leaving Texas until the 13th. 😂😂. Can you say pushing it much?
I have a new E19FBS, and enjoy seeing your mods and adventures! I want to replace the thermostat with something like yours and can't seem to find the video the mod was in, can someone help me out? Safe travels everyone!
Hi! Congrats on the new camper! So we actually did that mod a year or so before we started the channel so didn't film it. It was pretty straightforward - easy change out with a heat only thermostat. We took a picture of how the wires were hooked up with the old before starting and then, it took 10-15 mins to complete. This is the one we used: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008D7JDOG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Let us know if you have any questions!
Yes believe it or not the first and second time out back in 2019 with my Geo I pulled the bottom piece off of every shade and was going to glue them but instead took them apart and found out the fold was in the wrong direction on the bottom and they were pulling right out! You have to fold it where that plastic piece locks in when you go to pull it and everyone was backwards on my GEO it was assembled wrong at the shade factory! Once installed the correct way they will never pull off again!
