The next best thing to a live shoebill, I'd say 😆🦕 Thank you for watching! To answer Finn's question about Compies in the Jurassic Park franchise: there is no evidence (yet) of venom in any prehistoric dinosaur. Venom production is associated with specific bone and tooth structures, for which no evidence has ever been found. There was a case postulated around 15 years ago for Sinornithosaurus, a relative of Velociraptor, but this was later proven to be a mistake.
Recently, a study has indicated that Compsognathus itself is the juvenile of a small megalosaurid, and may not even be a taxon in its own right! Real palaeontology and discoveries continue to change and update what we thought we knew about dinosaurs, and there are many fascinating and amazing future discoveries in store 😊🦖

This one’s a really cool figure. HLG really outdid themselves with this one and it towers over their Apatosaurus, which is still impressive in its own right. And Alamosaurus is a cool dinosaur in general, considering that it lived in North America at the end of the Cretaceous and was the only sauropod that is likely to have encountered T. rex. And I bet even a T. rex would know to stay out of the way of these behemoths, the same way even lions in Africa and tigers in Asia generally prefer not to mess with elephants.

It's definitely an absolutely monumental genus and this model really does it justice! Haolonggood have excelled themselves with this one 😊 The detail and the pant apps are some of the best I've ever seen 🤯 The pattern of the osteoderms is very pleasing, they've really thought about it the whole design. It's also great to have a choice of figures from the late Cretaceous that scale together from different companies, too! ❤️

@@aeonfire82 I think it’s awesome that while sauropods like Apatosaurus, Diplodocus, and Brachiosaurus, are often associated with the Jurassic period, one group, the Titanosaurs, made it until the end of the Cretaceous, and were doing just fine up until then. Not to mention that they were the biggest land animals to ever exist.

@AspieDino98 it's absolutely awesome! The end of the Cretaceous seems to have been the peak of dinosaurs across the main families reaching their greatest sizes and complexity. To think, when I was a child it was assumed that sauropods were extinct before then. Every new discovery is a tiny fragment of a truly epic tale. There are so many brilliant new models coming out all the time now, I can't keep up!! 🦖

Wow. What a spectacular piece!! I’m plotting how I might fit that behemoth into my current shelving arrangement lol.

That is the only issue 😆 Mine's currently living on the floor next to a houseplant, but that's really not ideal! Haolonggood keep spoiling us with these big sauropod figures 😊

@@aeonfire82 probable looks damn good lurking around your houseplant. Unfortunately, I don’t have your green thumb lol

@williamneill5441 I'm not sure I do either, as they seem to get out of hand quite rapidly, then I find myself chasing around after them all to keep them healthy and neat 😆 I don't know a lot about how to care for them, I just try to read what they're telling me, and treat them appropriately. Plants utterly fascinate me and I do talk to them. They very effectively add extra interest to dinosaur toy displays, and vice versa, too 😊

😆 Thank you! They're so old, and battered, and even new stuffing can't really save them these days, but I still love them!

Thank you, never stop loving dinosaurs!! 🦖❤️ All Haolonggood dinosaurs are wonderful, I wish I had the space for them all! Especially the sauropods, which are some of the greatest ever made ❤️ I am sorry though, I don't know if I can get the Mamenchisaurus. My Alamosaurus needs so much space and my collection has outgrown the space I can give it. It is a wonderful problem to have, though! 😊🦖🦖
