Wow. I went and and found this app you are using. Its pretty incredible, and works both on my office PC and iPhone 14. And its FREE! You know I purchased the app creator a coffee or two. Loving the game so far. Its my very first TTRPG game ever. I come from a solo board gaming background, and this solo TTRPG fits the bill super nicely. Thanks again.
Thanks much - there have been some very interesting twists along the way, and the introduction of the new NPC system in Starforged is an excellent addition!
Expanse and Firefly are two of my fav sci-fi settings. Also mixing in a bit of the feel from "The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet" by Becky Chambers, minus the aliens.
The little vignettes from Ryuutama fit perfectly, I think, into the "Undertake a Journey" move from time to time. Sprinkled in for effect, but it adds a nice element of exploring moments of humanity within the ship. There's a lot of focus outside of the ship, but it can be a character itself if given the opportunity.
I tell ya, it wasn't the easiest thing to get going but once I got used to the webapp, things started moving much smoother. Like any other tool, I spose!
Hey fingers - agreed, there are so many tools out for Starforged already and it's not even here in print yet! I'll definitely have to check out Foundry, thanks for the recommend.
Isn't there supposed to be something for the print copy that is similar to the Traveler Ironsworn thing? I know my pledge mentions a wirebound playkit and a wirebound reference guide - I wonder in what ways those might differ (assuming they are hardcopies of the pdf versions)
Yes, I'll be curious to see what it actually looks like when delivered. I've been using Travellers for a long time now and like the format, works well for me.
Hey Stefano, thanks much! There's going to be a kickstarter launched for Traveler's Ironsworn and Starforged soon, which you can track on Colin's twitter for the time being (twitter.com/colinkloecker). You can also snag it from his patreon (www.patreon.com/terriblybeautiful) as a backer if you need it sooner than that.
No, this is a separate webapp that was developed by Nick Boughton, who I believe Shawn Tomkin, the author for Starforged/Ironsworn, is now working together with semi-officially. You can find the site here, it's free to use and I strongly recommend checking it out: nboughton.uk/apps/stargazer/#/

Lucky I stumbled across this. Signed up!
I hope you continue your work, please don't get discouraged.
Just now picking up the story but I really like your voice, story idea and starting point. Can already tell this'll be really fun !

Finally! It's good to see you again.
Much appreciated, Kiero - I enjoy sharing these and it's good to be playing again. :)
Your setting sort of reminds me a bit of The Expanse, a bit of 2001: A Space Odyssey, and a bit of The Verse in Firefly.

Foundry has quite nice support for Starforged.. and it's a great alternative to roll20 anyway...

Hi. Nice video as usual. Where did you get the new Traveler's Ironsworn for Starforged. I cannot find it on DTRPG. Thanks!
