Excellent video on the genocide of the Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks. Of course, Armenia is a country and so is Greece, but Assyria stopped being a country as of 612 BC (Before Christ) and therefore Assyrians have suffered most at the hands of the American Presidents that ignored this historical fact. The Genocide of the Assyrians was during WW II, but the Genocide of the Jews was as a result of WW II and of course Hitler's hatred for Jews, which is essentially not over because Hamas has attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip where the Palestinians live, and then there is simultaneous pressure from Hezbollah (Party of Allah) from Lebanon, and the Iranian Islamic Republic (which toppled the monarchy of Iran in 1979. As an Assyrian I am much more concerned for Israel, because Assyrians are safe in the US, Canada, Australia and Western European countries which are not under Communism -- Victor Nimrud Alexander
Thank you for your detailed comment, Victor. It's important to remember and discuss these historical tragedies to honor the victims and learn from the past. The genocides of Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks during the collapse of the Ottoman Empire are tragic chapters that continue to impact communities today. Your concern for Israel and the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East highlights the need for continuous efforts towards peace and justice. It's crucial to acknowledge and address these historical and contemporary issues to foster a better understanding and solidarity among different communities.
What is deal with some of the images used. This doesn't flow end to end well at all. Some pictures even showed non-relevant associations to what is being talked about. To nit pick why use modern imagery in between depictions and portraits from a few hundred years ago. Best one is at 3:53. Yes those are American colonists while the video is talking about the British.. in a whole different set of years from when the picture is suppose to represent. Stunning stuff. I wish people would put in the effort rather than relying on someone who doesn't read history or uses faulty AI algorithmic image searches for a "HISTORY" video.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! I appreciate you pointing out the inconsistencies with the images. My goal is to create engaging and informative content, and it's clear that I need to pay more attention to the visuals used. If the image at 3:53 was an error, I'll ensure to correct such issues in future videos. Your input is valuable and helps me improve. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
How about depicting the Arabs from the Hejaz in their full traditional Arab attire as “Greeks” !!!?? & that is only about the pictures, the misinformation and lies about the Ottomans is at horrendous levels. This videos makes the top of my list as one of the most bogus videos I have ever seen, most probably another account created by fear from the Armenian or Greek diaspora in Europe or the USA about the improving relations between Turkiye & Armenia and Greece for that matter. The Turks, lived, fought together as brothers in arms for centuries, the ones who stayed behind know the truth and lies and fabrications like these have outlived their life cycle. The truth will always come out in the end. Instead of supporting the new area of peaceful relations, these people spend their time in promoting hate & resentment. What a waste of time & their life? And what a dark energy to live with. May God give the wisdom & peace to correct their deceitful ways.
