This team is two brutes shy of being contenders. Adam's may not like it, but fighting is back, and he needs a couple on his team...

Sabres definitely need more grit on D (Pesce Carolina & Josh Brown Arizona are UFA) as well on the 4th line . Although a new head coach will most likely get Greenway, Robinson and others to use their size more aka finish their checks.
Was that the last Home game in a Sabres uniform for Girgenson, Comrie, Krebs, Olofsson, Jost , Clague, Jokiharju, and Bryson ? Lets hope so.
Physically, I don't see a major issue, but they could use a little more sandpaper. They have plenty of size but too many don't want to go where goals get scored.
Mentally, they are nowhere near tough enough. In fact, mentally, this team is soft, like a marshmallow soft.
Greenway and Robinson were both brought in to add toughness to this team and I’m not really seeing that from either like we needed them to be.
Why did cozens get his hand slapped when he said they weren't physical enough ? Remember when the sabres were the hardest working team in hockey. Sabres are know as one of the softest team in hockey.
The Sabres may have worked hard from the mid 90’s to the early 00’s, but they had the hardest working goalie in hockey. Those were the years Hasek truly “Dominated”, and most nights he faced more shots then the opposing goalie faced. Here in 2024 you’re sadly 110% correct that these Sabres are too soft. Maybe even The Softest Team in Hockey based on how young and talented they are.

Biron v Emery was the goalie clash of the century! Until it wasn’t. lol
I like Biron and his guts to square off with Emery, but unfortunately he was out classed. Emery was an avid boxer and was smiling to whole time.
I applaud Biron for getting in there regardless. I just don’t really see UPL doing the same thing.

I feel like a lot of Sabre fans are asking if the coach deserves to be fired there’s a lot of coaches who get fired and don’t deserve it. We’re not deciding guilt or innocence. We’re deciding do the players play for him, pretty simple

Sabres are not tough enough. We don't have that guy on the team that other teams say "If we do that we have to deal with him". Teams look at us a like "If we do that, we only have to deal with cozens or Krebs etc....!" We get laughed at. Nobody is afraid of Tuch or anyone else on our roster. That's the meaning of tough, when other teams fear someone. We Fear the Tkachuks, the Reeves, the Folignos, Tom Wilson and Deslauries! We don't have that kind of player. How many Times has someone punched dahlin and all we did was grab that player from behind to pull him away? Do that to a top player with someone Like the Tkachuks Folignos Deslauries Reeves or Wilson, and our best player is getting punched in the face or if theyre on the ice that player is getting punched.
If only we had a big, young, bruising stay at home D man locked in to a long term deal who could be there to add toughness...oh wait, he stubbed his toe again and is on IR for the next 2 years.

Sabres need a couple more players similar to Alex Tuch, with size, sandpaper, good in the corners, and willing to go to the front of the net.
Tuch does not have sandpaper.

Opponents have been taking liberties for years, for years. All the bullshit that they have to put up with because there’s no one there who can do a damn thing about it. They used to send a 35-year-old who is the only one who would stand up for his teammates. Then they had enough of that they traded him.

Could not disagree more. They barely hit at all, let alone fight. Power stinks. Doesn't hit. Or use his body. And i don't think they won a fight all season, until last night. Who on this team is going to start a fight when they're down 3-0 and listless? No one. They're soft mentally and physically. Sure you want goal scorers but you also want to be a team no one want to play because they're going to hurt afterward. The Rob Ray/May/Barnaby teams understood this. They've been physically soft ever since lucic ran miller.

There's nobody tough on this team. Watch the end of 3/30 game against the Leafs. Dahlin scums Brodie & Giordano grabs Greenway immediately. Meanwhile Bertuzzi punches the helmet off Dahlin & JJP. And punches 3 other guys. The line of Tuch, Greenway, Thompson, JJP, Dahlin & Power (all our SIZE guys) had zero punches thrown. But they did lead the ice on hair flips 7-1. More worried about their F-ing hair than beating up the LEAFS.
