LOKLiK Crafter: Print and Cut Calibration

- We have made several attempts to get our LOKLiK Crafter to do a print and cut calibration, and every attempt resulted in a slightly inaccurate offset. LOKLiK support has reached out and sent us a fairly comprehensive document with several steps that may resolve this issue. We'll publish an updated video as soon as we find one that works. Thanks!

Cricut recently experienced a similar problem that has since been resolved. Hopefully the engineers at LOKLiK will figure this out soon and issue a software or hardware update. I mainly bought this machine for print and cut (and the price being new to cutting machines), but your video at least told how to do that even though it's not working properly. It was very helpful!

@@FamilyUnit Hi I also have problem. I have alot of trash from machine calibration.. huhu.. the left side is almost accurate but the right side of the sheet is off it's offset in the loklik studio. 😭
Gave up and returned mine to Amazon today.
I really want this machine to rock but they have some kinks to work out.
I was looking at this machine but I bought the Cricut Joy Extra because I know print and cut works.
It works great! I’m hopeful LOKLiK will get this working for their machine soon.
I got this with for the sole purpose of print to cut. I hope the steps they send you work and you are able to do an update video.

This is my frustrations right now. Can't seem to perfect the calibration. D is always off at 5 or 6 🤦♀️
Ouch that is going to hurt them. A lot of people buy these machines to make stickers and a print and cut doesn’t work, they’re out of business

@@FrancisArmstrong-vu4cg GREAT questions! The Cricut debacle took at least a month to resolve, but it's perfect now. LokLik has a support email on their website. We heard back within 48 hours on one resolved issue, but radio silence on the print and cut issue. Zero other known issues on our part.
They have had a couple updates. I'd love another video. Maybe it will work.

Hey good to see neutral Loklik info on YT. You are not a vinyl cutter agony aunt, but, multiple passes on MY Loklik are not aligning, does anyone know why?
I hear that people are calibrating many, many times before they get accurate cuts. I'm waiting for the new version of the software/firmware that I'm told will be out in June. I have high hopes it will fix a lot of the issues people are having.

The print then cut registration marks are only on the left top and left bottom on the latest software v1.9.7 and firmware v0010.
Still no update on this thing fromLoklik I've noticed.. I am going to have to buy the circuit joy extra especifically for print and cut. WOW. I am still hoping they get this right.

Looks like the space between the registration marks is 6 7/8” wide by 9 1/16”. I can’t find anything official from LOKLiK with the exact measurements.
My issues is the following. The print and cut doesn’t not work with Printable Vinyl. But if I use other paper it’s working well. I was making stickers and with printable vinyl never work and I used sublimation paper and cut very well. 😢

@@FamilyUnit Hello. Tech support said loklik isn’t compatible with glossy. The glossy interfere with the laser and cannot read the marks. But with matte is work perfect. Try use glossy to see if this a general issues. Thanks

I had much better success upgrading to software version 1.9.7 and firmware v0010. You can see in this video ua-cam.com/video/dZYc8JCkqNA/v-deo.htmlsi=jnBFZC7Nv_RrxAWR that I was able to get better results. Cailbration is key.
Do you know if there is a way to reset the calibration I set mine the wrong direction and now it won't scan the registration lines
We’ve had some of those issues as well and know the LOKLiK is working to get them resolved. We’ve had better luck printing calibration sheets on our inkjet printer than our laser one.
This machine is a nightmare. I got mine today, and it won't calibrate 😢 only got it today, and im thinking of returning it already!!
UGH....it has been challenging for many. I've had fairly good luck with ming, but it an be trying at times. The next big software release is supposed to be in June 2024. I'm hopeful we will see improvements. There are lots of people helping each other out on our Facebook group facebook.com/groups/6770205346369071/ but I understand your frustration.

We watched your video. We completed the same exact process. The problem is with the actual cut, which you did NOT show in your video. I am sure when you cut your sticker you will see the same error we did.

When I try to calibrate it, it brings up a print page that has two corners one on the upper left and one on the lower left. When I put it into the machine it says fail to track and spits it out. I am so frustrated!
Newer versions of the firmware only have 2 registration marks. Software version 2.0
Is out and I’m putting a tutorial on it together as well as a new print then cut video to test if it’s working better. Stay tuned.
I was told to wait 2 months for them to figure it out. I don't know if it still doesn't work after waiting, will they let me return then? It was promising until I tried to calibrate it before using it.
We actually got ours to work, but the calibration was not perfect. We did speak with support via email and they are working on it. For the price, you really can’t beat it. It does everything else perfectly.

I bought a new machine got it today but it’s not even reading the lines. So it’s not even cutting. Did it many times but I get an error on it. What can I do
What version of the software and firmware are you on? Update to the latest which is v1.9.7 software and v009 for firmware.
I got a more serious problem with my loklik. When I print the calibration sheet it only shows the 2 left registration marks. So anything I do with print and cut is just a mess. Sent messages but no answer from them at all.
We will be back in the craft room this weekend and will do some testing and report back.

Yes you can! Make sure you use an inkjet printer. Our LOKLiK can't seem to see laser printed lines - too shiny I guess.

i wasted lot of papers in print and cut😢even already calibrated still doesnt work😢
I was able to do print and cut without calibration and it worked great. I did open up the clamp for the pen and let it remain open while I did it. Not sure if that had an affect or not. Here’s the video -
