As someone who knows how to fly the 737 and knows how hard it is, I can say you did a very good job. And most people that are inexperienced could not even do an Autoland under guidance.
It’s not hard. If you are a qualified 737 pilot and think it’s hard, you shouldn’t be flying it.

What are the odds for a student pilot with 30 hours single prop aircraft and knows a ton about airliners lol. I'm convinced i could assume captain and just land without help... given there are no emergencies i.e engine faliure or loss of systems.
@@johnnunn8688 I know it's easy for someone like me who has had the training and the experience, but for someone who has never flown a plane before, that is going to be hard. And why are they saying something like that? It's pretty unnecessary.
Not sure that "we'ew going down, we're going down ..." are quite the right words to hear; hopefully the cockpit door is either closed and soundproof so the passengers could not hear that!!! But good job! Saw a similar thing with Tom Scott and, from what I recall, the plane got down!

I was trying to work out if it was LBA he was landing at.

Nice one Ben. Thing is, this is VERY unreal, as the bloke talking you down is in the control room and has all you instruments and lever positions in front of him, so sees what you’re doing. Please do it again but make it more real. The bloke in the sim cabin has only radar info, so you’ll find that SO much more difficult, if not impossible.
I dont think its entirely unrealistic that they would simply get someone on the radio who is type rated and experienced with the aircraft who has more or less the same knowledge as yer man. For me the only problem was it sounds like he was actually in the cockpit with him, watching him, based on his affirmative statements.
