As Much as i loved Donnie, Bruce has kept Runrig going, im not going to compare then because i love them both equally and i have grown up with them both in my heart. Runrig forever! besides you never hear anyone complaining about other band members leaving and being replaced.
Hate to say it guys he left, its not like he was kicked out and if it wasn't for Bruce there would be no Runrig, as Rory says in another video. I love new and old Runrig. We have to live with it just love the song for what it is.
Runrig are the best from Scotland and remeber Donnie left the band and without Bruce we will have NO RUNRIG they are great singer and Runrig are alive I have followed the the band as long as I can remember. Regards fram Denmark
no bruce , no runrig , no argument. i for one am glad they found him.great frontman. stop all the greetin.without bruce, runrig would have finished in 1997.never wpuld have had the stamping ground or other classics
Great to see this again. I have seen this band with Donnie and miss him sorely from the band! Nobody is irreplaceable though!!! :) I haven't seen them with Bruce, but this brings back good memories from 1989 when I watched the documentary before heading off up North of Scotland to study music!!!! :)
His name is Bruce and with out him there would be no Runrig now, As to you point about Donnie yes he was brillant, but he is not here now.Have you being to a show with Bruce? He is a class act and i for one thank him for keeping the sprit of Runrig going.
well said! I am English too I was born in Manchester but I have ancestors who are Scottish and were part of the Taylor Clan. Though I am totally behind what you say "what happen in the past has passed and try not ot let it influence you actions for today"
Im pretty much the same. From the womb to now, my dad blasts it out at top volume. My mum's name was officially on one of the DVD's too, I think they asked for people's names that were singing in the audience, and her's got on there :D Just reminds me of old times in Scotland (I live in England now). But whenever we go back and pretty much every time we get in the car, put this on, great stuff.
Really am fed up with all the this wanting Donnie to come back. He left!! no one forced him out he choose to leave, to go and do politics of all things! Now don't get me wrong i love Donnie and his songs but if it wasn't for Bruce there would be no more Runrig and we have had some fantastic songs with Bruce and the guys. And would we have found such a talent as Brian if Peter didn't leave? Come on Donnie said that Runrig needed us the fans to keep them going! Look forward not back!!
Never seen them doing this version live...was always the slower, lesser rocky version....would love to hear Bruce doing this version....thin it waould be amazing!!!!
@giliellthesecond lol exactly! i've grown up with Runrig, im 24 and we started to listen to them when i was about 3? so i really have grown up with both of them! love em both always will! Yes Donnie is brilliant but so is Bruce in his way and we still have the guys! next people will complain that we have Brian instead of Ian. Who could deny Brian's angelic voice :D
Well, I too live by the water, Lake Superior, on the south shore in upper Michigan. From what I understand my family left Scotland sometime in the 1820's and ended up in eastern Canada, moved west into central Ontario then during the 1880's into Michigan during the lumber boom. Also from what I can understand the Barbour's hail from just north of Glasgow in Ayr? Isn't there a small town there called Barbour? Thanks for responding, good to know there are Barbour's still in Scotland.
@Rachellelawley Lol I was itching to type exactly this for ages and now just read it and thought "Well, seems like I did post it, only I can't remember doing it". I think both of them have their different strenghths and give the songs their own touch. But you know how people are: the future was better when I was young ;)
Brilliant, the UK's best ever band.

I love the shot of the fans running, its actually on the cover of the 'city of lights' DVD
Donnie was a big singer, and Bruce too. Nobody wants to replace Donnie´s memory. Bruce is just doing his own career.

lets all vote and ask for donnie back as lead vocal runrig is just not the same brilliant sound it used to have
Nice bit of red sticky tape at 4.20!
obviously you had your ears removed at birth, Donnie Munro has an amazing voice and Runrig were finished when he left, fact!
Charlene, If you don't mind me asking, where do you hail from? Once I post this you'll see why. Thanks
Hal Barbour
