It's clear he's high as a kite in the video but like they've said, stevie used to crawl into venues he was so drunk and high and all they ever had to do was put him in a seat and he'd ply his entire set perfectly while sitting in that chair but thank God he sobered up and gave us the best music he'd ever done. We didn't have him long (i'm 4 years older than him when he died) but it was enough and from the batch of up and coming players it's clear his influence is very much alive and well and his sobriety still helps people get clean today. God Bless you Stevie Ray Vaughan
He's got a pick , a strap , a guitar on his back , ain't gonna cut the angels no slack , heaven done call another blues stringer back home . I think Stevie was truly sent by God just to let us know how important both Music & Love meant to be , and Stevie did it so perfectly great !
Its late. I have to be up in 5 1/2 hours. I came to youtube to see what im doing wrong in rude mood. Found the clip. Came to this. And wow I just wanna pull out my strat and start going for it. Also now I want to raise my action to an abnormal height. Because apparently thats what Stevie was doing. Will order hand workout device on amazon to compensate for the amount of force needed
Buddy Ollie I wouldn't go so far to say Stevie just renamed Lightnin' Sky Hop to Rude Mood. Yes, Rude Mood was inspired by Lightnin' Sky Hop but also a conglomerate of Lightnin' Hopkins songs. Such as Lightnin's boogie, Early morning boogie, Movin' on out boogie, Lightnin's special, etc. All these songs have the nuggets and suggestions that inspired Rude Mood. Like Stevie said.."its just a white boy playin' Lightnin' Hopkins"
Bowling shirted Stratocasterers! Take note! YOU CANNOT PLAY LIKE THIS NOR CAN YOU BE TAUGHT APPARENTLY. Go home. Now. Think seriously about another hobby. Millions will thank you.

What’s that nice lick at 5:40? I’ve heard it before in a live Texas flood rendition
It sounds like the beginning of the song “The Things That I used To Do”
