And chuck Norris is a tang so do practitioner also not a kyukushin practicer, and bob Sapp, really? Like there's no lack of great fighters who hailed from a kyukushin base so this is just embarrassing like just of the top of my head there's gsp, andy hug and bas rutten
Chuck Norris trained Taekwondo and Tang-Soo-Doo and not Kyokushin Karate! Just exchange Chuck Norris with Dolph Lundgren and that statement is true again.
I don't know where you did your research, but Lyoto Machida is Shotokan Sensei. Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris is a black belt in Tang Soo Do, which is a Korean derivative of Shotokan. Bob Sapp was taught K1 rules kickboxing by Sam Greco, but doesn't have formal Karate training.
@bs84578 incorrect Chuck Norris is a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He didn't start martial arts until he joined the Airforce. It was at Osan Air base in South Korea in 1958 where he started martial arts, and it was Tang Soo Do. Now Tang Soo Do is a derivative of Shotokan, but it was modified by its founders Won Kuk Lee and Hwang Kee. Hwang Kee learned Shotokan from studying Gichin Funakoshi's book entitled Rentan Goshin Toudi-jutsu. He never had formal lessons. After studying the book he developed several new forms. For instance, Yuk Ro are six forms created in 1947 by Hwang Kee; Chil Sung is a form developed by Hwang Kee in 1952. He also taught Yang style Taijiquan short form and Shaolin Long Fist as upper level forms.
@@kevionrogers2605 thanx for info I shared this info from other website may be wrong. It was shotokan which went for changes and started using spining kicks taken from french boxing but karate kicks were awesome due to body conditioning . Even today karate is most powerful form of self defence for any age group wadu ryu technique seen for first time very awesome martial art.In karate one can overpower stronger opponent judo traditional I have seen called freestyle judo was very deadly .

Lots of wrong knowledge... For example if you want to learn self defence... yes Goju ryu is one of the most suitable styles for close&mid-close distance self defence... But Shotokan is mostly show up on competitions. since Wado ryu is a blend of Shotokan and Jiu Jitsu, it is more suitable for self defence ... Also there are styles (Kajukenbo, Parker kenpo, shorinji kenpo and nippon kenpo etc) especially designated for street self defence. Also: Uechi ryu (or pangai noon as kung-fu) is a very hard style for self defence... And Kyokushin and ashihara never mentioned as self defence styles... interesting... Additionally: Chuck Norris is a style founder of USA Tang soo do... Tang soo do is not Karate, it looks like Shotokan but originated from Korea (like TaeKwonDo)...
Misinformation. Please do research before publishing. Use actual footage of the styles. Do not use ai or artificial speakers. Pronunciation is terrible.
great respect to u unlike chense martial arts kung fu Karate is simple can be learned by anyone I have no experience of wado ryu i find it simple I had experience with shotokan but I feel Garju ryu and kyokushin r most dangerous form of fighting if used in offence shotokan is deadly for quick action .SHORIN RYU IS GOOD FOR LONG FIGHTING EACH STYLE HAVE UNIQUE FEATURES.
I want to practice Wado-Ryu and Shito-Ryu, but in the city I live there's only Shotokan and Goju-Ryu. There are Muay Thai, Lima lama, etc. But I'm referring just Karate styles.
Chuck Norris is a Renowned Practitioner of Tang Soo Do and from this created his own now known as the Chuck Norris System (formerly Chun Kuk Do), he is said to also be an 8th Degree in Kyokuskin Budokai among other forms of Karate and many other martial arts too…also including Ju Jitsu and Judo, hope this helps clarify a few things
Funakoshi didnt invent shotokan, his expression of shorin ryu was based on the teachings of Yasutzune Azato his main sensei. Todays techniques and katas called shotokan were mostly developed by his son "Yoshitaka". Some in agreement with Funakoshi (kata adaptation from shito ryu's repertoire) some not in agreement (free kumite). He developed japanese nomenclature, belt system, didactic publications (books) and tons of demostrations. All karate styles of the world owe respect and apreciation to this man for promoting karate around the world.
Years ago i praxticed a derivative of. Kykushinkai. It was hard strikes and endless kata with little application . Then moved on to trad Jiu Jitsu.... Locks and throws were missing from my style.
It's Shotokan (two long o's) Not Shahto kan. It's Kyo- kushin. Accent is on the first syllable, and with a slight pause before second syllable...basically ALL of your pronunciations of the styles are wrong. This should be corrected, and then reposted. No, let me correct myself. All of your Japanese is wrongly pronounced. And you research is wrong, as seen below.
Thank you very much for watching. Which type of karate do you practice?
shito ryo is in number 2 ..& shiro ryo is one of the best martial arts in the worls ..shito ryo is far better than kyokushin
Kyokushin Kai oss 🙏
Shotokan
Machida practiced Shotokan and Chuck Norris practiced Tang Soo Do
this guy sucks
You are correct. He learned it in Korea while in the military. He's learned some things since but I don't think he's done much Shotokan.
Thank you! Was coming here to say the same
Machida is a Shotokan black belt NOT kyukushin. His father is a top rank in JKA (a shotokan organization)
well this youtuber doesnt know anything, all generic references
Wasn't GSP the Kyokushin star?
Yes...
Maegiri of machida is so famous...

If your AI voice botches every pronunciation and you don't know what style Machida and Chuck Norris do, maybe don't make Karate videos.
And you eared a heart from the channel for that ol

Your “facts” are wrong in many ways. Poor presentation.
These are the once I would consider:
Wado ryu
Goju ryu
Shorin ryu
Shito ryu
There is also Shukokai karate Ryu of which I practice
Which is a form of Shito Ryu, I have also trained in Shukokai for over thirty years.
Informative video, but you please work on proper pronunciation?
Many thanks I appreciate your feedback
Traditional Goju Ryu doesn’t have competition…just saying
Shōtōkan, shidōkan and kyokushin are the styles I've trained in and reccomend.

UCHI RYU is dangerous form to disable or kill the oponent.
