Sadhguru is right, we don't like to look at our mortality. When I face my mortality and realize that my time here is short it brings me a greater appreciation and respect for all life. Before that I would waist a lot of energy on trivial pursuits and miss the wonder of life all around me.

When you realise you are mortal , you don't have to do anything with it but because of it . In the sense , whatever you do , do it with full involvement and complete it as early as possible because you don't know when is your last breath . You might die the very next movement . This will happen automatically if you really realise mortal . Its like in exam , when you realise time is very less ,you try to answer as many questions as you can .
It's the opposite... when you realise that the body is mortal, but you the soul are eternal, then you become spiritual. The soul isn't mortal, the soul is an eternal part and parcel of God and Iam a embodied soul, Iam not this body. So when this so called spiritual person says "You become spiritual when you realise you are mortal" that is a complete material way of looking at reality. He obviously hasn't realised the self and he knows nothing about God. He just says there isn't one. Any Hare Krishna devotee would plug his ideas about the Absolute truth apart in a few minutes.
Basic point to note here is, all these Ananadas are brought to explain away the mysterious death of Jaggi's wife........they are used as to make his story believable...no more than that...
