Sonic Prime had a great concept of exploring a Sonic multiverse to work with but it was held back by its budget (that joke from Sonic Boom about limitless story potential in spite of only having 8 characters and 4 locations), legal issues (Ken Penders is why we don’t have dystopian Sonic, jungle hobo Sonic or pirate Sonic) and padded writing. The idea of exploring what Sonic’s friends would be without him would be great (Nine is perhaps the best execution of this), but each universe really only gets one standout character (with the exception of Nine; they’re all pretty one-note). A group of alternate Eggmans teaming up would be fantastic, but all we got were five Eggmen from one universe that were just one joke repeated over and over throughout the show. It all reeks of missed potential and I wish it could’ve been better.
Penders? Pah! He can't own any characters that are intentional Sonic clones because they're clearly based on Sonic! Which he doesn't own! He can argue about the "original" characters all he wants but alternate Sonics are still Sonic. He's not winning any lawsuits over that.
According to Ian Flynn. Sonic Prime wipes itself out like Sonic 06. So, all the Shatterspaces are gone. They don't and never existed as Sonic didn't shatter the Paradox Prism this time.
other than the Ending I thought the show was great, definitely miles ahead of Boom in regards to Nine, it was fitting, he had no one and had to fight himself so finding out his friendship with Sonic was because he was essentially a replacement for Tails and being essentially a clone really made him flip, he wanted a world alone with Sonic, he was just cornered and had no choice but to do what he did with Sonic himself, Nine wasn't wrong, he clearly had Major Guilt or Survivor Guilt for causing everything, even going back to save New Yoke's Rouge and Knuckles despite saying he wasn't, while a hero, he is being more protective of them because their copies of his friends, so I didn't see a problem with them and for the battle, only thing I got is the character moments it gave, nothing really else, otherwise, it is a return to form after a decade (2010s) of flanderization
As a person who likes this version of Sonic (despite the flaws in writing with its repetitiveness) I do agree he’s the wussyest version of this character I’ve ever seen. 😅
I feel it’s a miss opportunity not include Blaze the Cat and the Sol Dimension. It is still confusing. Like is Sol dimension an alternative universe or is it the Future? Cause Silver the Hedgehog is from the future and Eggman Nega is Eggman’s Descendant.
I'll honestly think the Sol Dimension wasn't effected, similar to with 06's reset ending, whatever happens to Sonic's world doesn't effect Blaze's since it's in a completely different space I assume
I agree with most fans that Sonic Prime was one of the best versions of Shadow. Sad we got so little of him. With Nine, personally liked him as a villain. Him being hypocritical made sense given that some people become the thing they hate. I do wish at the end he wasn’t remorseful and got the Varian treatment from Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. Where he could have had time to reflect. I do think this series could have been a movie instead. If you remove some of the repetitive parts and had one Eggman and Nine working together. I would have felt better not seeing much of the main team.
I thought it was good. Nine got off way too easy but I assume they don't want to scare kids with the consequences. Shadow is hands down the BEST part of the show!
This is honestly a problem with a lot of Netflix shows, especially when it comes to animation. These people don't even know what a full season is like, so they basically just make 5 or 6 episodes and call it a new season, while in reality a full season is 13 episodes at max.

Bruh, I must have given Cassandra's redemption arc from Tangled the Series too much flack because Nine makes her look like Prince Zuko. I'll admit Nine's motives make sense when you take into account how he grew up with the world as his enemy leading to his complete lack of care for anyone but himself. But that makes his redemption DOUBLY confusing when he does a complete 180 on a dime and suddenly likes people. Knowing what we knew of him, he had no reason to suddenly care about the world's well-being. Cassandra's redemption may have been forced upon her, but at least it made sense for her to turn in that moment. Nine had no reason other than "I've clearly lost," and even then his attitude would likely be reluctance rather than remorse.
I excuse a lot of the issues about the 3rd season feeling like one big long, shonen battle anime,fight scene. Mostly, because I can clearly see the writers being like, "this is our last chance to do everything we'd want to do with this scenario, so let's go for broke!" -Showing off what Sonic's gear turns into in the Grim -Dread's redemption -Getting all the members on "Team Sonic" into a 3-way brawl by having Renegade Knucks jumping into Sonic & Nine's fight -Mangy and Sails hijacking Grim Big -Rusty compare/contrasting herself to Grim Amy -Shadow going one-on-one against Grim Sonic They are all things that prolong the story, but they are also all things you'd want to see happen before it was over.
They did this with Cuphead on the last season and how they do it it was sonic. Oh wait, you know what else they did it with. They did it with glitch tech I’m still waiting for them to give it the greenlight for third season but I don’t know if that’s gonna happen, even if, I haven’t heard word from the creator.
For Nine, it didn't matter to him if the world gets messed up. He mentions he could just restore it back to normal once he gets Sonic's prism energy. It was also mentioned repeatedly that the destruction was caused by Eggmen's portals, not Nine. It accelerates when Nine uses the prism energy but Nine had to defend himself because people kept attacking him, thinking he was causing the destruction. I actually couldn't understand what their plan was. They were trying to beat the only guy that knew how the prism shards worked and therefor, was also the only guy that could save them. They had no plan.
I really don't get it with how many bad attempts at redemption arcs for villains their are in modern media. Did everyone just see Zuko's very well done redemption arc and try to do that while not really understanding how to do it?

I think it was great for what it was. From the begining I knew they couldn't use stuff from Archie comics, let alone fleetway so they did a great job with what they had, and as for that shadow at the end, well a hero's job is never truly done.
Between this and Sonic Boom getting canceled, Sonic tv has had a real string bad luck, still nice to have good shows to watch. What is it with all the good shows getting canceled though, I understand the "bad" shows use cheap animation but still.
I always saw the shatterverse as being created due to the paradox prism being shattered. It's the only thing that would make sense to me, considering how each shatterspace had its own respective shard from the prism, despite the original universe just having the entire thing. That's why Nine was calling Sonic selfish for wanting to piece together the original universe, because it would completely destroy all of the shatterspaces and everything inside them. Nine at first wanted to use the empty shatterspace as a template, to then build a new and "perfect" world, and even planned on trying to replicate Green Hill so he could make Sonic happy. But then when he found out Sonic wanted to just bring back the old world, which would cause Nine to be erased from existence, he felt extremely betrayed, especially since Sonic was pretty much his first friend. This show poses an interesting moral dilemma. If you accidentally destroyed your universe, but the destruction caused the creation of multiple other universes, fully populated with life, would you destroy those universes just to get the original back? Or would you avoid making that mistake again, and instead move on and preserve the life in the new universes? Bringing the original back could be seen as selfish, destroying multiple lives for each one that you bring back. Though just moving on and living with the new universes could also be a problem, because you have made a monumental mistake, and it should be your duty to undo it.
I say I liked the ending with the cliffhanger because of one reasons and it’s the reason is said by Sonic in one sentence “What you see is what you get, just a guy who loves adventure I’m Sonic the Hedgehog.”
Loved prime! The fights choreography was amazing. My only complaint is that it did feel like they drag out the ending with how many times they have to fight Nine's robots, but I understand the showrunners wanted their endgame. Also the usual dweebs crying about how sonic is supposed to act, but that's every sonic project and not against the show. lol
My favorite part of sunny Prime was the Roces (rusty Rose ,black Rose ,Thorn Roce) the god development interesting storys and Amazing moments all through

I mean, yes, he was unreasonable and hypocritical but that was the whole point - after his whole life being bullied and being alone he is unable to see others as anything but potential traitors and expendable assets. Still, I do agree that his redemption could be more fleshed out instead of just "okay, I have no choice to restore the worlds and you have no choice but to trust me". Personally, my biggest peeve about "Sonic Prime" is that only New Yoke world was more or less fleshed out. Pirate word, Jungle world, and of course The Grim were rather one-note locations. Like, it would be cool to see some pirate islands with maybe locals fighting against Eggman version of Ozzie Mandrill (if you played Escape from Monkey Island, you know what I'm talking about) - not just an episode about sailing on a ship.
I just wish we had more of Shadow. It sucks that he got stuck in the Void, and couldn't help as much as he could. Though I will say; the voice actor for Shadow was excellent. The perfect blend of dark, brooding, and sexy. They should bring his voice actor from Prime to voice Shadow in the third Sonic movie. 😍
I think the biggest problem with the show Is It has Too Much Action and not Enough Story. I'm not sure If this Was A budgetary issue or the Writers didn't Think Ahead.

I found interactions with the Amy versions fun, but wish there was more of that with other characters. Pirate Knuckles motivation and actions are awful. 9's is def an unreasonable antagonist and the pacing for the show needs work. They def should have cut out half the fight scenes for more dialogue and interactions, but that requires competency to work with paper thin cast's characters.

I tried to give this cartoon show a chance, but I thought that they made Sonic a massive idiot so they could get the Tails/Miles angry sad character villain for story. I'm happy that the show is doing well though, and that people are enjoying it though!
I was never into the premise, I wanted the show to show to explore Sonic's original world, instead of the multiverse concept, but for what it is, it's okay. I think Rouge was an odd choice though. I would've preferred Sticks, especially since it would be amusing so see a civilized or pirate variant of her I also would've appreciated if the show has a this cinematic animesque 2D animation, like the official art by Evan Stanley
I saw some episodes, but I will the series from the begining now that the all 3 seasons are available. So, I don't have problem I seeing some spoilers. Some informations just to clear some confusion about the show. 1 - The reason why the series seems to be 1 season divided into 3 seasons is the fact that the series has all 23 episodes. This was said when the series was announced. There is no 4 season (at the moment), because this is the complete series that the team wants to tell. The reason for splitting into 3 seasons is that Netflix wants to keep the audience, so that they continue to subscribe to Netflix. Imagine launching the entire show in a short space of time and then having your audience unsubscribe now that they've watched the whole thing. It wouldn't be a sustainable business model. 2 - The end when Sonic and his friends got to fight this unseen force, is to show they ready for another adventure, just like the end of Sonic Heroes. The Prism arc is done, and Sonic is ready for another journey in his life with his friends. 3 - This is my theory: I think Shadow wrap the Paradox Prism to the GUN HQ, because not only is the safest place for the Prisma, but also Shadow is a GUN agent. I'm sure Knuckles wouldn't be a safe option for the Prisma, because he already guarding the Master Emerald.
I'll be honest, I liked how they were fighting Nine, But in the last episodes, During either 2 or 3 episodes where Sonic and his team were fighting these robots endlessly repeatedly was so tiring and the pacing was like slow...
As someone who watches 3 seasons of Sonic prime, I can say that some things were rushed. I didn't really like how Sonic cast were treated and even outside of cool different versions of the cast, we don't really see much of the cast, so it makes it impossible to how they act or at least outside of flashbacks. While i do love the episodes of Sonic prime, they are also quite weird with the way they are doing it. it seems kinda rushed, which makes it more apparent in Season 3. Nine went from "I WANT TO KILL EVERYTHING" to just being redeemed, Shadow is good in prime but i miss the old shadow since shadow was truly the worst character to exist in Sonic. overall it's a okay show to decent but i rather watch things like boom or x as a sonic show.
I liked Sonic Prime, but I might be a bit biased since I’m a huge Sonic fan. I’m not surprised the series ended on a cliffhanger it’s like how “Sonic SatAM” and “Sonic Underground” both ended on a cliffhanger.
I really enjoyed the show but that ending was so darn rushed. The fact that Nine didn't even get sent to jail after he nearly destroyed everything and the amount of episodes they spent on just the final fight...it felt so unsatisfying and underwhelming. Another wasted oppurtunity was how underused Shadow was, I really liked his dynamic with Sonic but he was barely in the show. I also would've loved to see more versions of Eggman from the other dimensions, the show was fun but it definitely lacked in some areas. They should've shortened the fight and made the last ep an epilogue instead to show what happened to everyone, but I would love to see a season 4.
Honestly, the fight was really anticlimatic... I kept waiting for Nine to join the battle himself with some kind of robo-mech of his but all he did was constantly create new enemies. He reminded me of the guy who thinks camping is a viable strategy... and ends up being right.
Sonic Prime is actually a good show. My one issue is this was a perfect time to bring back Sally and or Bunnie Rabbit or all the sonic characters in the past. Who the hell was the other 2 animals in the last season. It was just dumb. Besides that, good show
During this season, I had the impression that there were some scenes missing or an episode where Sonic screwed something up and Nine thought that he was just Sonic's substitute for Tails, or Nine thought that if Sonic's friends were from the world, all other versions of them and the splinterverse would cease to exist. Possibly someone censored/shortened the original plot but didn't make any minor adjustments to the script anyway.
honestly I found the series a bit clique with certain story elements force vs feeling organic. honestly I would of like to see alternative version of sonic rep. by shadow, silver and other heroes
I just wish they had used any other character in Rouge's place. Not only they completely removed her sexy femme fatale personality because it's innapropriate for western children's cartoons, but having her hanging out with Sonic and the gang feels out of character as hell. The ending sequence with the cliffhanger that will probably never be addressed felt like a callback to Sonic SatAM.

I was never into the premise, I wanted the show to show to explore Sonic's original world, instead of the multiverse concept, but for what it is, it's okay.
I think Rouge was an odd choice though. I would've preferred Sticks, especially since it would be amusing so see a civilized or pirate variant of her
I also would've appreciated if the show has a this cinematic animesque 2D animation, like the official art by Evan Stanley
I saw some episodes, but I will the series from the begining now that the all 3 seasons are available.
So, I don't have problem I seeing some spoilers.
Some informations just to clear some confusion about the show.
1 - The reason why the series seems to be 1 season divided into 3 seasons is the fact that the series has all 23 episodes. This was said when the series was announced. There is no 4 season (at the moment), because this is the complete series that the team wants to tell.
The reason for splitting into 3 seasons is that Netflix wants to keep the audience, so that they continue to subscribe to Netflix. Imagine launching the entire show in a short space of time and then having your audience unsubscribe now that they've watched the whole thing. It wouldn't be a sustainable business model.
2 - The end when Sonic and his friends got to fight this unseen force, is to show they ready for another adventure, just like the end of Sonic Heroes. The Prism arc is done, and Sonic is ready for another journey in his life with his friends.
3 - This is my theory: I think Shadow wrap the Paradox Prism to the GUN HQ, because not only is the safest place for the Prisma, but also Shadow is a GUN agent. I'm sure Knuckles wouldn't be a safe option for the Prisma, because he already guarding the Master Emerald.
I liked Nine until they made him power crazy and kept distorting the Shatter-verse
I'll be honest, I liked how they were fighting Nine, But in the last episodes, During either 2 or 3 episodes where Sonic and his team were fighting these robots endlessly repeatedly was so tiring and the pacing was like slow...
Damn. Ended like Sonic Chronicles did. XD
As someone who watches 3 seasons of Sonic prime, I can say that some things were rushed. I didn't really like how Sonic cast were treated and even outside of cool different versions of the cast, we don't really see much of the cast, so it makes it impossible to how they act or at least outside of flashbacks. While i do love the episodes of Sonic prime, they are also quite weird with the way they are doing it. it seems kinda rushed, which makes it more apparent in Season 3. Nine went from "I WANT TO KILL EVERYTHING" to just being redeemed, Shadow is good in prime but i miss the old shadow since shadow was truly the worst character to exist in Sonic. overall it's a okay show to decent but i rather watch things like boom or x as a sonic show.
I liked Sonic Prime, but I might be a bit biased since I’m a huge Sonic fan. I’m not surprised the series ended on a cliffhanger it’s like how “Sonic SatAM” and “Sonic Underground” both ended on a cliffhanger.
I don’t think knuckles would watch it since he’s already watching the master emerald. But ye I did enjoy this show, it’s a shame the ending was rushed
I really enjoyed the show but that ending was so darn rushed. The fact that Nine didn't even get sent to jail after he nearly destroyed everything and the amount of episodes they spent on just the final fight...it felt so unsatisfying and underwhelming.
Another wasted oppurtunity was how underused Shadow was, I really liked his dynamic with Sonic but he was barely in the show. I also would've loved to see more versions of Eggman from the other dimensions, the show was fun but it definitely lacked in some areas.
They should've shortened the fight and made the last ep an epilogue instead to show what happened to everyone, but I would love to see a season 4.
The best version of Sonic is Sonic X. I think Sonic Prime was written because the multiverse is trendy now.

Honestly, the fight was really anticlimatic... I kept waiting for Nine to join the battle himself with some kind of robo-mech of his but all he did was constantly create new enemies. He reminded me of the guy who thinks camping is a viable strategy... and ends up being right.

Sonic Prime is actually a good show. My one issue is this was a perfect time to bring back Sally and or Bunnie Rabbit or all the sonic characters in the past. Who the hell was the other 2 animals in the last season. It was just dumb. Besides that, good show
During this season, I had the impression that there were some scenes missing or an episode where Sonic screwed something up and Nine thought that he was just Sonic's substitute for Tails, or Nine thought that if Sonic's friends were from the world, all other versions of them and the splinterverse would cease to exist. Possibly someone censored/shortened the original plot but didn't make any minor adjustments to the script anyway.
those were honestly implied, Nine only helping for the Prism blueprint and seeing the other Tails along with the main one
honestly I found the series a bit clique with certain story elements force vs feeling organic. honestly I would of like to see alternative version of sonic rep. by shadow, silver and other heroes
I just wish they had used any other character in Rouge's place. Not only they completely removed her sexy femme fatale personality because it's innapropriate for western children's cartoons, but having her hanging out with Sonic and the gang feels out of character as hell. The ending sequence with the cliffhanger that will probably never be addressed felt like a callback to Sonic SatAM.

sonic prime was really awesome in my opinion.
So basically another Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood. Good Concepts, but bad execusion. Ah well, maybe they can try again later.
