What a lovely plane, I've just picked it up for a continental tour of Europe

It really is a joy to fly, takes some time getting used to it, and tail wheel can be well lets just say adventerous. I tend to stick to the Amphib as she is a bit of a wild one on takeoffs and landings, I mark that up to my lack of skill. Otherwise is a dream to fly and highly customizable cockpit wise. Thanks for your feedback and stopping by the channel, keep the blue side up!

Remember when XP didn't feel like it was on rails? Now XP just feels static once airborne. Compare that now with the Blackbird Beaver in MSFS and you can see the plane bouncing around a bit with wind buffetting and air pockets, etc. Just "feels" more alive. I wish we could get the fluid dynamics with the weather/atmosphere system of MSFS. Thanks for posting. :-)

XP does not feel like it is on rails, as I mentioned during the video i was not using live weather. I also had the AP engaged and using heading hold etc so hence it appeareed so stable. It is far different bird if i had turned all that off and Xenviro on.
One thing i do wish was the skies were alive with traffic without having to buy a addon to do that, it's something that they need to build-in. Hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for stopping by and your comment, keep the blue side up.

I remember trying Xplane 12 when it first came out and I wanted a sim that supported heli's and VR before FS2020 did either. I just couldn't get past how bad the Vancouver area looked though and ended up refunding it and going to DCS for my VR heli flying.
Now that I've gotten used to FS2020 and 2024 Xplane seems worse by comparison. Hope they go with higher res satellite textures and more 3D buildings in the next version.
As for the panel lights, if it's the same as the one in FS2024, I think they're at the bottom of the panel under the VSI. I do like the black panel on this one better than the white one in the FS2024 model.

I understand the frustration with how the Vancouver area looked when it first came out, I think the scenery has improved in this version but there is still room for improvement. TBH even in FS2020 when I flew it I was not impressed with Vancouver in it, and I live close to Vancouver, required 3rd party SamScene 3D to make it somewhat nice.
Another thing to keep in mind, in thios video I had live weather turned off, and my ortho if I recall and did not have Global Forests v2.2. That said all in all IMHO no sim ever gets Vancouver looking good, yet always has bad framerates which never made sence to me. Thanks for your comment and checking out the video, keep the blue side up!
