In today’s video, I’m testing out the brand-new Blockade Runner mission in Star Citizen! As soon as this mission dropped, I had to jump in and see if everything was working as expected - and I’m happy to say, it exceeded my expectations. From the smooth mission flow to the heart-pounding action, this is a must-try experience for any player.
I took on the challenge using my trusty Drake Corsair, and I’ll show you why this ship is perfect for the mission. Whether it's the firepower, versatility, or its ability to handle tough situations, the Corsair is hands down the best choice for breaking through enemy blockades.

It's a very meh event. But for simply doing combat and war time logistics gameplay it's fun.
The flight is what kills it for me
Deadbolt 5's and Attrition 4's are the new meta for The Corsair? They seem to shred more than ADB5's and 4's.
I spent 5 hours doing blockade the other day. No one else on sever seemed to be doing it. I went to so many target locations to find empty ships after beating them. I may have delivered 2 corsairs worth of cargo to the station. Mission never passed 300. I had equipped my Corsair with 200k UEC of components to do battle and got a grand total of 0 UEC from doing the event for 5 hours.
Switch Server, you can always find a good one. I finished even a few times already
Thanks for the video! I have two questions:
1) Is the Deadbolt buffed again? I had them for a while on my Corsair and then it appeared to have been weakened so I have full ballistic right now. If the buff is back I will try it again.
2) I have never seen that zoom mode at 5m15s. Can you tell me what that is called so I can find it in my keybinds?! It looks wicked and I wish I had seen it sooner!
Deadbolts were always great.

You can buy it on CIG website, you can leave it in hangar or bring it with you. You can reclaim as ship if you lise it. o7

Ghoulish Green is my favorite ship color apart from Meridian 👍 Quick tip for your Corsair if you would run it with energy weapons instead of the Deadbolts: Put ballistics on the remote turret, as it draws from the same capacitor as the pilot guns. This will increase your capacity from 11 to 12 shots for the M7A’s for example. This trick also works for the Cutlass Steel and 600i. I tried the mission yesterday, I was on the same server as you if you recall. However it didn’t work out as almost nobody was retrieving Zeta. The mission payout was 20K after repair deductions, lol. I feel CIG needs to up the rewards. Cheers o7

@@infinitespace239I think you can also just power off the remote turret in the weapons management MFD and get the same energy saving. I have to say, I'm really struggling to find a weapons loadout I like on my Corsair in 3.23 / 3.24. Right now I have 4x M7As and 2x Deadbolts, and even when engaging similar sized ships at ~500 meters it takes aaaaaaages to kill anything. Even another Corsair is a 5 minute, slow motion duel. I miss the days of Brrrrrrrrrtt, where 6x ABD repeaters would kill a Hammerhead in less than a minute and you actually had enough ammo to take out 3 before you had to go and re-arm.. 😢
I took my f8c out during the ptu testing of blockade runner I would take out the ships hauling zeta and most other's then go back to station and grab my Taurus and pick it up after a few repair bills for f8c ranging from 15k up to 30k I quickly quit it was fun and in the ptu so wasn't worried about the money but if it's the same in live it's not worth messing with

One hit and you explode - all these medium cargo ships are useless in combat.
Combat ships have no inventory and so are useless period..
Damm, better get a squad together and work towards a goal then...

That's a zoom introduced in 3.23. don't know the default I set it up on my joystick. Take a look at my video best game settings. o7

Not other people's fault that the only PC you can afford can only play cheap Chinese ripoffs of proper games.
Dont play if you think it is a scam, forget about it.
45 euro is not a scam for what you get.
There are AAA games that have less content and the same amount of bugs as SC.
