Thanks for the review! I just used Addictive Trigger to replace a complicated snare drum where the drummer played with the snares turned off. The client wanted a traditional snare drum sound instead. The part was very busy with tons of rolls and ghost notes. I was using the demo version and this was the first thing I tried it on. It worked fantastically well and I now own the plugin.
This is an excellent review... Stoked you can convert trigger to midi track.
Excellent review & tutorial, it answered a lot of questions I had about addictive trigger. I'll definetely will be buying it soon. Thanks a lot.
You bring to us always the best.
Thank you !
Thanks for the video! 🔥🔥🔥👍🏻
Good vid, also your time alignment one after this.
Getting the trigger sound to blend with overheads (which have the natural tone) is another topic...
Surprised you didn't show the superstart feature which is one of the best things about this plugin. The audio fingerprint allows addictive trigger to work at lower threshold settings and still pick up low dynamics while rejecting bleed
Fantastic!
Awesome video! I gotta check out that trigger plugin now. Quick question, did you setup a quick command for creating a new audio track? Or is there one by default? I usually am using shift+cmd+n (like in pro tools) but it usually pops up the track window first
what about drums recorded with only one mic??
Awesome!
Hi,
Will this work on a stereo pair rather than on separate close-mic'ed tracks?
Wait...XLN has a snare named 'Trump'? Is it thick, empty and rattles a lot of nonsensical noise?
Yeah it might be!!ha Ha empty and hollow and raw
TRIGGERED
yea but it gave you a job@@16BitGenocide
They had one called Biden but it didn't make any sense, often sputtered, and was frequently found to be controlled by other sounds. So, it was shelved.
Thanks for this video.
What about phase issues? Does Addictive trigger automatically correct phase issue? I didn't hear any mention of phase. Thanks 4ur prompt response
THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION!
PLEASE! I´m new to drum replacement. I don´t understand in which way to open Addictive. On the same track as, say, the kick as a regular plugin or how do I do it?
How does Addictive Trigger cope with drum rolls?
if you have the addictive drums 2 library can you use the kit parts from all those kits ? that would be impressive indeed..
Yes
Very useful tutorial. Bug honestly I prefer SPL Drumxchanger which I found more easy and less complicate to select which sound we need.
Is it just me or is there no way to select to detect hi hats?? There is an option for snare, kick and four for Toms but no Hi Hats? I want to replace the hi hats from an overheads mic
I'm pretty sure you can do all this and more with Impact now can't you?
Can you use your own recorded samples?
I'm pretty sure you can export as midi and then use whatever instrument/sampler you want
would you say that this plug's still relevant today?
Yes! Using it today!
can you load your own wav?
No
You can drag the midi into the daw and trigger another vst instrument..so yes
Great demo....cons: video is blurry. no zoom or pans to see where your mouse is on screen. but otherwise nice job!
this might be your connection cause that was extremely high quality on my screen
@@7ars471 nope...looked at it again. and still blurry. I have fiber 100. strange. i will keep researching. I only mention because i really like your video;-) Do more! Thanks
@@robcarranza thats weird... honestly have no idea what could cause that but i can assure you it's really clear on my screen
@@7ars471 Dude! You are right!!! I switched my settings from Auto to HD and it is crystal clear!! Hell Yeah! Thanks for confirmation;-)
It never ever triggers right on poorly recorded tracks. Slate Trigger always.
I will never record a real drummer, what for? Look at what you have to do later to solve all those bad sounding recordings, why wasting the time in recording a drummer if from the beginning you have the best options to get drum tracks sounding at its best using Addictive Drums and others? That is why Trigger is not an option if we plan it good from the beginning. I use Addictive Drums 2 and as I always say, better than this, no one can play it better and no studio will capture a better sound as what is already inside Addictive drums and others, it does not matter how good the microphones are and how good a studio is; recording a drummer will be always worse than these Drum VSTi can do…..anyways, thank you for your effort and video, greetings from Germany, Alfredo
The groove is what is lacking in VST stuff
