Lol dude trial and error, I didn’t watch any tutorials except how to thread the machine once you start, you kinda just get a feel for it. But the one thing I CANT figure out is how to sew a damn circle without the attachment! It’s so hard! Also, I’m only good at not very complicated things, although I would love to learn how to sew an outfit
To sew circles you want to go slow! For small circles you really need your hands right up near the needle to feed and guide your fabric. Some machines have better speed control, so it could be extra difficult in your machine.
Hi! Thank you so much for this diy! It looks beautiful! Can’t wait to make them for my daughter and I to wear for year of Tiger! Is there a DIY supplies list you can share? Thank you so much in advance!
How much fabric total is used for the ears and headband portion? (Bow is different fabrics) do you think 1/2 yard is enough to cover the headband and make the ears?
Hahaha yes! It’s called a circle sewing attachment but they are PRICEY! so here is a cheaper version Janome Circular Attachment for Models 6500/6600/7700/11000 www.amazon.com/dp/B00405X4OK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VY6Y2VXVHZY9YJ9ZW827 Just make sure it’s compatible with your sewing machine!
These ears are beautiful and the tutorial is very informative. However, please tell me that the way you “snap” your fingers and point afterwards is intentional to “point” out the materials needed. It’s just so weird to see that and I must say that I have to fast-forward that part because it’s so distracting! 😂
Wow you are so talented! How did you learn to sew?!

Omg! I’ve been sewing for 30+. years and had no idea you can get a circle attachment for your machine. Sweet! Thank you for that tip. :)
Where can I buy one of those? Do you have a link to it?
