- Matteo Mancuso Trio plays at The Boardwalk in Orangevale, CA. It was an outstanding show, packed house to see this sensational new virtuoso musical talent. #MatteoMancuso, #MatteoMancusoTrio, #LiveMusic
I'm using an iPhone 15 max pro btw.
Here's a link to another portion of a song he was playing. The venue was crowded and
it was hard to see. Did my best.

A four minute solo without missing a beat or hitting a wrong note. At that speed. Unreal.
...and it's completely improvised.
And WITHOUT a pick!
There were some dodgy notes.. Appreciate, but never simp...
My daughter and I attended this show and were standing stage left (your right).
She's a big music freak (prog rock is her favorite).
Took her to meet Matteo backstage before show started. Seeing them a 14 year old talk about Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius, Jeff Beck / Stevie Wonder, Allan Holdsworth (she loves U.K. and plays 'In The Dead Of Night') with Mancuso made my year. Come back, Matteo. Waiting (im) patiently for your return. Best show of 2024 IMO. #teammancuso
I was there....and the whole show was THIS good. This guy is the real deal, and deserves all the hype. I'm really excited for what he brings in the future.
Holy fuck I thought I was floating for a sec. This might be my fav version Matteo’s done
"Cause we've ended as lovers." Always my favorite Jeff Beck song.
Matteo does it so well.❤
Absolutely one of my favorites also ❤
It's a Stevie Wonder song.
@@MartinMaat Is he the original writer? I only remember Beck playing it.
@@wernerdanler2742 Stevie Wonder gave it to him and never used it himself. There was some back and forth between them, I don't quite remember but it's well documented.
@MartinMaat Thanks, Martin. 😊
Can we all just acknowledge the Bass player and say it in unison, HE IS A FREAKING NINJA/GOD guitarist!
Matteo is beyond anyone else... but lets not forget the band. I love the bass players playing. That rhythm section rocks.
Fantastic , bass, drums and the guitar too. 😊
SO AMAZING TALENTS! GOOD JOB GUYS! MATTEO'S A GENIUS! REALLY! BRAVO 👏 👏 👏 👏 BRAVÍSSIMO 👏 👏 👏 👏
Now he just needs his Austin City Limits moment or his “Dust in a baggie”. He has guys like Vai and Johnson singing his praises.
Grande Matteo
There aren't enough superlatives to describe this. The most talented group I have ever heard. I just hope they come and play in New Zealand so I can watch and listen to them in person.
❤ great Matteo
Genius
I had to watch twice... just amazing 🤯
I write this solely for clarification. Stevie Wonder wrote the song and Jeff Beck gave it electric wings. This is a stunning live version.
Absolutely mind blowing
Great performance, thank you for sharing. Can't wait until he hits the east coast.
it's a bootleg when someone makes money off of it. I posted it for free for you all....in fact, it's free publicity for this amazing talent. You're welcome!
@@enigmaharlequin4247 ah. Yeah you’re right. So my use of the term bootleg is wildly inaccurate, and I apologize. Thank you for the posting!
Outstanding ! Matteo is really one of the best guitar player ever. One of the best cover of this song along with Tom Ibarra's
Fastest most accurate, he is up there but take a look at what the great classical players can do. His technique is not new. Also this obsession with speed is what has set guitar back miles behind the keyboard in terms of popular music. 1 million notes a minute becomes tedious quickly to the the average human. As much as Matteo blows my mind I would take Gilmour or Knopfler over him any day. When I shred my gf leaves the room, when I play soulful melodic guitar she comes back lol
Thanks for putting this up. If you have the opening tune and Fred (the Holdsworth piece) from this show please post em' !
I'll put up a couple more songs, but only got short portions.
I was there, Great to see the Boardwalk hosting shows worth going to again,
So great!!
If this is the future,....wellcome!!
❤ out of this world
He kills every other guitar player before him with a Smile. Over the Rainbow. The alchemy of this band is perfect.
Matteo e seus amigos! Sempre afinados e sintonizados!
Damn right by my house and I missed it! Ugh
The whole band is terrific, but the solo Matteo pulls off here is just ridiculous.
very good.
wow
Sounds a whole lot like an extended awesome extreme solo for careless whisper
Matteo is like if Wes Montgomery, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, George Benson and Pat Metheny had a baby...
and Guthrie
@@alexzaytsevguitar and Paco de Lucia, Holdsworth, Satriani...
@@giovannipeirone3915 Holdsworth stays above everyone
@@alexzaytsevguitar he was an unrivaled genius, but Mancuso studied his music for a long time and assimilated his style, which he integrated with everything else
@@giovannipeirone3915 whose style did he study? Mancuso and Holdsworth sound totally different, nothing in common at all.
Chills!
Suona da Dio !!
👍🏻☝🏻Jeff Beckerston the ll.😊
We need a jam with the Mighty Cory Henry.
Thought I was flying while he played the solo
It's a Stevie Wonder song, BTW
Ty for that information!!
Talk about setting the bar high. I think maybe this guy got to the top of the instrument, no place left to go.
DIFFONDETE IL VERBO!!!!
Jeff Beck would appreciate
7:53 to 8:02 holy $#it
orgoglio italiano nel mondo
That bass solo...ouch
Absolument incroyable
Grande rumore e niente Anima.. Così si guadagna
fancy fingers! why would you muffle the guitar though? there's nothing better than open chords, imo.
Who pans to the drummer during a guitar solo?
who takes the time to be an Ahole just for the sake of it? Glad you liked it you ungrateful turd!
@@enigmaharlequin4247 Thanks for posting this video. Don't worry there is always one....
A drummer…😅
Actually the Bass solo wasn't that hot and was too long. I've heard him do better. Matteo has superb technique and is fun to listen to. However, he plays everything I've already heard, just a little bit faster and cleaner. Unfortunately, you can't teach originality or creativity. He plays a great solo here but I've heard it all before... Maybe everything possible has already been played and all that's left to do is play it faster. I'll know something new when I hear it...
Sure...it's true what you say...but...I think positive feedback is better for the world...we can all do better some days right? These guys are young..I'm sure they'll continue to grow and who knows...surprise us with original content in the future. Let's not be so critical and ready to judge before you've given someone a chance to bloom! As with just about everything...in the music world it's always been a stepping stone. Most, if not all musicians start out playing other's riffs and songs before finding their own.
@@enigmaharlequin4247 I love to listen to Mateo and wish him only the best.
They are young and, more important, they are ALIVE. I cannot think of enjoying great music just on CD or Vinyl because the players aren't with us anymore or too old to perform. These guys give us great live music. I don't want to make comparisons. Enjoy and relax ;-)
@@gillian67ec Observation isn't necessarily criticism.
I love Matteo and it’s easy for me to say he’s probably the most talented young guitar player in the world right now. I wish him a long career and life, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to grow up and mature as a musician into a Paganini of our times. He’s gonna learn eventually to put more pauses and less notes into his playing 😊. Jeff Beck used to say, he didn’t like ten minutes solos, that a solo must take the tune somewhere.. incredible musicians, they’re like a grand cru classé after a few years bottling, you can only guess and speculate how it’s gonna taste after a few more decades cellaring.. 😊 as for the solos, IMHO the bass player stole the show, this time.. thumbs up, anyway..
Yawn. Boring.
Yawn. Same old envy comment
@@consulentecomunicazionestr3072 I'm not a musician, so what is there to envy? Just don't like this guy and his dopey hoodies.
maybe it was an off day.
Secondo me non stai bene...
Dipende.
