Thank you. I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m about to fix up a (or try) 1999 c230 with limp mode on. I’m picking her up tomorrow and I’ll tell you this video help me out esp with no experience. I do have people who know about cars they are my plan B but this video has nice clear details that made me understand a lot of what I’m doing. Subscribe
we did the replacement and cleared up any codes that were in the system. I don't think you need to clear the codes to get out of limp mode. Before we replace the conductor plate, we would just turn off the car and wait 3 min and start it up to remove the limp mode.
Hello Do I need to do the program after replacing the conductor plate with a new one, or do I already have the program in the new conductor plate What should I do if I have to do a program?
This is for the 722.6 5-Speed. 2005 C230 should take ATF 134 (Red) NOT the (Blue) 134FE. 134FE is for 2010 and later models which were specifically designed to use the lower Viscosity oil transmission fluid. The 722.9 7 speed is completely different.
I forgot what the code was but basically the car won’t shift past 2nd gear and limited to only 40mph max. We tried a bunch of things but didn’t make the limp mode go away so our last resort is to replace the conductor plate and that fixed the issue.
where can I find the proper fill procedure for this transmission? How long do you have to have it on before checking the H on the transmission dip stick?
I am pretty sure you can find it in the manual or online forum. I just fill it with all the fluid that comes in the container in the kit. I know this is not proper. sorry if this is not of any help.
I am the owner of Mercedes-Benz e320 year 1999 V6 engine assemble in Canada. I am having transmissions issues. I would like some advice on the way forward with the transmission repairs.
so what happens if the problem limp mode is still present?? What is the next step.?? I have changed the conductor plate and all solenoids all brand new!! problem is still there!! Any tip would be a big help!!!
@@bekabeka71 the sensor has to be reset. many sensors on a car have to be reset via a scan tool. In fact that's how you can tell if you fixed a problem (or not) if the code reappears after the code has been cleared

Great video! Did you have to erase any codes to get the car out of limp mode? Or did you just remove and replace? Thanks!

THANK YOU SO MUCH NICE WORK
What was the codes that were showing up that made sure it was the transmission plate and not something else causing it to go into limp mode?

@@SimplyMod85 gotcha gotcha. Thanks
I think it might be p0717 & p0718
Thanks for video. There could have been many other reasons for limp mode, I believe you were lucky to have picked the correct one?

If you're just changing the connector plug on the outside of the transmission, do you need to drain the fluid?
No you don’t
The limp mode appears for
Lock of maintenance to the transmission?
Seems like it

could be abs / speed sensors in the rear wheels, my e240 2005 mechanic dictated that its speed sensor in rear left wheel
Car needs to have a scanner that can reset the transmission control module or it will stay in limp mode
How is that possible? Can a limp mode be resettled virtually?

@@rayharmacinski4934 so what’s the first first? Plug it in and see the codes first before change the whole gearbox?
