  • A test of the Suzuki Allgrip Re-active AWD system in thick snow and on steep roads. Hope this video helps if you are considering a Suzuki Allgrip. I have been waiting for some time for conditions like this to do a video on my Ignis, and for someone to be available to film it. This video includes a steep climb out of the estate, and up the valley to a small carpark, where the snow is pretty deep, and I really get to test out the system. We then venture a little further on some rural roads until we have to descend back down the slippery roads, where I test out the 'hill descent' feature.

If those are the standard summer tyres on it, they've delt amazingly with that snow. You will see that with proper snow tyres you'll get a lot more places much easier. And if you lift it with aftermarket springs and put some off road tyres on it like I did you will do 80% of what a Jimny is doing. Many happy miles! 😊

Great performance by ignis taking in to account the normal tires, the height of the snow and category of the car which is a B-SUV. Perhaps should be my next car.

A good tyres choice could be Falken Euroall as210 (175/60/r16). I've just bought them and until now, they perform really well.
    They are All Terrain
    (M+S).

Thanks for posting - considering the car on fitted with standard summer tyres ( Bridgestone Ecopias ? ) I'm impressed with how it drove in those conditions. I've been considering buying either the Swift allgrip or Ignis allgrip for a while now but have always found it strange how Suzuki didn't standard spec all season tyres on these cars .
Also wondering how quickly the front screen de- ices when iced up ?

I just bought an ignis Allgrip, i live up in the woods in the Chamonix valley in the Alps, but I'm from Sheffield, so i know the roads you were driving on, I'm very impressed so far, i have winter tyres, but made it up to our house with 30cm snow on the ground... Not tried the buttons yet, just on way home from buying it. I'd definitely recommend winter tyres though. Great video thanks

    thanks for the video
, i have just purchased an allgrip ignis and it is fitted with bridgestone ecopia tyres 175/60/16 are these the same tyres you refer to as normal. i hope so as they did seem to manage some steep slippery slopes similar to where i live in the northumbria north of england
unexpectedly i found it really difficult to obtain all season tyres in this size and also i was surprised to learn from the tyre fitter that i must change all 4 tyres to avoid damage to the drivetrain
struggling to understand the science behind this but the handbook confirms it
anyway the ignis is probably not as good in snow as my old panda 4x4 was but that would take some beating by a lot of awd/4wd vehicles
    impressive video

Love my Ignis....can winter tyres be used all year round?

Given UK climate is unpredictable "All Season" are a good option., use all year round.
