This is actually my first Im@s anime and enjoying every ep so far. I only been known im@s from granblue fantasy in the past but didnt played yet during their first collab. Also SinyMas character design looks so good, been addictive to Luca song lately.
U149 so far has been amazing! I love it and it can be even on par with the 765 anime! Me and a few other people have been translating One for All and we are going to finish up DLC events by the end of this summer, with Takane's and Yukiho's dlc story patch releasing today! We hope more people can enjoy Idolmaster in the west! :))
I wish you could delete all the unfunny redditor mammothposting comments here who think they are comedy gold for spamming the same quote 1000th time everytime they see an anime child, It really gives a great franchise like IM@S and the U149 Manga/Anime a bad image.
I mean its not bad Tho i really am not into the franchise but heard of it. Idolmaster is really underrated and i wish for more people to hear and get to know it more. Tho the language barrier yes its a bit hard to get into it. Still want more people to know about it
9:50 arguably, Namco got too traumatized with the localization. They did try: Shiny Festa’s iOS port got the localization. But its starting price was stupid even compared to the original PSP price. 5800 Yen is more comparable to 40$, not 60$. It resulted in bad optics and bad data. Any higher up looking at data will just say NOPE. For comparison Tales of also had a history of almost no localization, but it didn’t have horrible reputation in the west so they still gave the greenlight.
Its better that this anime is not known in western part of the world, all they do will complain about this show being pedophilistic (which is true for a series that have hundreds dojins and thousands of lewd fanarts when the anime just started). But to be honest even if you are not lolicons, this shows is very good shows if compared to another anime that airing this season, seriously tho this anime is the fifth lowest members in MAL despite the Quality.
bruh, afaik, liking lolis usually will not make you a "pedo", by that logic it's like saying a people whos are from animal lover/animal defender community are bunch of zoophilia for me, I like this anime because of the story and music, honestly I hate when people judge anime only from on the characters i even heard some them said like "if you like umamusume you are pedo" when the "ballin" meme got viral but yeah i know that was western after all, i heard some of them even didn't believe about "tan" people exist(and said that tan characters are racist), and some of them said everyone who has under 155 was a child, meanwhile i have female friend who just around 150cm in her 20's and about doujin thing, in case you didn't know, it mean indie/fan made art, so the studio/official usually nothing to do with it and yeah, i do agree with you about a hope that this anime not got viral in the west, i really miss the old anime community before pendemic
@@azzam6532 Unfortunately a lot of people in the west online tend to have that initial mindset when they see younger characters in fictional media I literally told someone online that this was the anime I was catching live each week and they went to look it up but said they shouldn't say what they were thinking from it Reminds me as well of the city pop community I was in and they had a channel for idol music, but it was still seen as this cursed place people shouldn't mingle at because you'd be labelled as some gross "pedo" even if you're there just to listen to music
@@CinfesRisa uhh, yea, i know about weird things, and there are many of anime fans like loli like they like cat, but, do you know what "loli" means? And why you cencor it? 😅 And sorry for my bad english
I first knew about the series mostly from the Idolmaster cinderella girls game. then i found out the release of the original cast anime series. I love them so much, almost every characters are so memorable and loveable. I do get disappointed than most of the game, if not all, are not translated into english. Trying to recommend it to other people also pretty hard because of the hard language barrier, except when the watch the anime. but i really really love it when the make very quality animation of U149.I was really happy. Didn't expect that kind of quality. I can finally recommend with big proud of this. Such an underrated multimedia series that I wanted everyone tried at least once in their life.
5:41 The OG has 13 in total, not 12: Haruka, Chihaya, Miki, Yukiho, Yayoi, Makoto, Ritsuko, Ami, Mami, Takane, Hibiki, Iori, and Azusa. In the theatre, there are 39.
i have a dream, a dream about im@s got a koplo/dangdut or even maybe keroncong music genre(since im@s franchise is quite popular in indonesia), that would be epic 😂
nice video, that's true imas is not really popular outside japan even the franchise is big in japan. i hope imas is getting more bigger and bigger in western and never touch xenoglossia
i have been in the idolmaster community since 2016 and syoko has been my tantou since the beginning. out of all the idol/ rhythm games i’ve played i am yet to find another idol who is as diverse as syoko or other idols such as riamu
Small mistakes here and there but I'll let it slide. Also despite it being big in Japan/Asia, I'm glad for this and it does filter out some of the people who don't want to commit themselves to this franchise. And despite what people say about Xenoglossia, if you take out the idolmaster part about it, it's a pretty decent Sunrise Mecha starring "im@s idols".
well personally i found out that if the game got english localization, it gonna be a huge mess with woke culture or something like that since this franchise feature characters under age
It’s a localization nightmare 😅 The woke culture thingy is one thing; Bamco USA isn’t that privy with that, as far as I know, the idol speech patterns is another. Engrish, Japanese with no loan words at all, full hiragana speeches, Nagasaki dialect, Kansai dialect, and so on.
Unfortunately the first few episodes of this anime weren’t… self aware enough for me. I love idol anime, but this show was so transparent about the way adults were exploiting very young children, and didn’t provide any answers. Made me feel gross.

Imas can be successful without western people.

Technically it wasn't created by Bandai Namco, but by Namco, Bandai and Namco united later

There are remix albums that have Eurobeat styles.

Music wise I prefer idolm@ster than Love Live, with Muse disbanded and Aqours going down, it’s tips heavily to them, the other 3 group was too weak.

Honestly, I'm fine with this anime being niche. The internet would want to tear the series into pieces 😑
